2 weeks ago me and my husband we celebrating out anniversary. We thought this would be the perfect spot, being that we eat here often but boy were we disappointed the staff was rude. The manager attempted to rectify the situation which I wasn't satisfied which him offering a slice of cake for and $70. I made contact the filling day with another manager who offered take away dollars for my meal which I forgot to mention was Wrong. It is now almost 3 weeks later and I still have yet to receive the take aways dollars promised to me. I think it is ridiculous for me to continuously contact this establishment regarding the purchase of my meal. This was my favorite restaurant being I live less that a mile away. We just flew in from Philadelphia and were so hungry and tired! Our hotel was right next door to this restaurant and as soon as we walked in, we were so warmly greeted by the 2 young hostesses. We decided to sit at the bar so we didn't have to wait for a table and just like the hostesses, the bartender was fantastic as well! Everyone was so friendly and we immediately noticed how all of the staff got along so well and really enjoyed each other's company. The manager came over to ask about our meal before I could ask for her as I wanted to compliment her on her staff and leadership so I of course told her how impressed we are with her restaurant. They have awesome food in a causal & relaxing environment. Good for weekday lunch or a nice dinner anytime. The staff at this location are always friendly! Just need a few more vegetarian options even though it's a steakhouse. Steak eaters have a variety of friends. Started off with the blooming onion, then the Prime Rib- Both were mouth watering !!! But I think the BEST part was our waitress. Maria! If you come here, ask for her. You will not be disappointed. I came in with my son(5yr) and his dad.. She anticipated the needs of a parent by asking if we wanted to put his order in first. Was joking with the table... Great smile. Overall made the experience. On Thursday night October 13 2016 my family and i came to OutbackSteakhouse on 40th ave in Denver for dinner. It was 24 hours later we all became violently ill. The ONLY thing we had in common was the bloomin onion with the dipping sauce. I spoke with Todd who is the owner/manager on the phone the next day and told him what happened. He vehemently denied that it was the dipping sauce for the onion that made us all sick. He was not interested in what i had to say because in his view, I was totally wrong. no one else called him that they became ill, so in his opinion, it never happened. I was wrong. He was defensive from the beginning. I did speak to the doctor and the doctor agreed with me that the sauce very likely made us all sick... Since once again, four people who got together for dinner and ate nothing IN COMMON at all but the onion and the sauce. What disturbs me the most about this experience is Todd's callous and unsympathetic manner towards what happened to my family having dined at his establishment the night before... I was not seeking a refund. I simply called to inform him of what happened. If i was treated with respect and sincerely spoken to, which i was not, and He had told me "I am sorry for you and your family becoming so violently ill, missing a days work, spending the whole weekend in bed and in the bathroom.".... would that have fixed the problem?, No, BUT it would have been the right thing to do for customer relations and it would not have made me write this yelp, contact the Health department with a complaint and clearly tell my situation on social media. I think some sensitivity training is in order .. Have someone else answer the phone who is empathetic and does not make customers angry and feel their complaints are not valid. Have someone else with some common sense who knows how to deal with handling problems speak to customers,. Maybe think about the concept that honey gets more flies then vinegar. read more

Over staffed and not helpful at the front desk, understaffed at the to go section. Called to place a to go order. The person answering the phone sent me back to the to go order line, even though that's the option I selected. Was on hold another 4 minutes and arrived while I was still on hold. Three women at the front greeted me and one escorted me back to the call in area. Pretty sure she was the one who transferred me back over the phone. She also commented about how busy the to go guy was but, didn't offer to lift a finger to help him and walked off leaving me to wait again. The guy running the to go area was great but trying to handle everything on his own. It would have been nice if the three ladies at the front doing absolutely nothing could have helped him out. PS. My review is between 3-4. We came to eat dinner early like 4-5 pm earlier in the month. We were greeted, and had a good server. My disappointment came with more of the pricing of the food. I got a filet minion, and although it was good, my place looked so small, that cost 30.00. The asparagus wasn't cooked through... They were on the harder side not soft. I ordered the bone in ribeye medium. It came out half rare and half medium, at this point you might be thinking why am I not giving a crappy review? Well the hostess came to check in on me, I said it was fine. Then the manager came to check in on me, (they both offered to fix it). Then they still gave me a free slice of cake at the end. The steak was still a 4/5 even with it not being fully done, the customer service really made this a 5/5. Probably the worst dining experience in my life they had these two idiot waiters with little pony tails on the top of their heads who clearly weren't taking their job seriously. Our waitress made some awkward comment to us because we were looking at their pony tails and then I think they messed with our food a booger like substance was in my beer. The food that did come out wasn't even good my friends chicken looked like vomit neither of us finished our meal we ended up eating somewhere else shortly after. Do not eat at this place. Outback is normally good but this one is far below the standard poor food and even poorer service by management and employees who clearly don't care. NONE of the staff greeted us when we came in to sit down. It was almost a hassle trying to find seats because no one bothered to attend us right away, but can't say the same about the food. The food was superb, an exceptional dish made by a great chef. The steak was carefully cut, and I ordered a medium rare steak. The sides were greens and mashed potato. The automatic appetizers that they serve us was garlic bread with light, creamy butter and a small glass of red wine. The shape of the steak was great, almost artistic and obviously, well cooked. The feeling of eating this particular dish made me feel well again, and actually made up for the rudeness and nonchalant behavior of the hosts. They do need to be more attentive as they can't keep the customers waiting! Otherwise, fantastic. read more

Outback Steakhouse has changed the recipe for its prime rib -- the same recipe that we have all known and loved for the past thirty years is now just an expensive cow salt lick. I haven't been to an Outback Steakhouse for years, since I moved, but I ALWAYS remembered how much I loved their prime rib. Imagine how jazzed I was to be staying at the Hyatt right across the street from this Outback Steakhouse. I dragged a friend along praising the prime rib. When it was served I noticed it had all this seasoning on it. MOSTLY salt and it made the prime rib inedible. I was very embarrassed that I had given Outback such high praises. The problem wasn't just how salty it was, the meat had tendons in the normally tender parts of the prime rib. I mean, I've had better meat from Sam's club. I tried to scrape off this horribly salty rub or whatever it was off but to know avail. It had permeated the meat. I ended up throwing away an expensive prime rib because Outback had ruined it. The salad was good and the steamed vegetables cooked just right. The prime rib was awful. I will NOT be back for prime rib, maybe a blooming onion and hot wings. Whomever thought adding all this salt to the prime rib would be a good thing needs to rethink that? Have you heard about hypertension??? Nov 4, 2014 - Update Changing rating from 2 stars to 4 stars. Ordered the filet mignon and lobster. I asked them to not rub all of that salt on the steak, and grill the lobster. The steak was awesome and the lobster very flavorful.
