first steak I ordered medium and i got it basically well done, the manager cooked my second and I think I wouldve rather had my first, it was raw and chewy but appeared good enough to eat when he brought it out so I said it was okay, but that guy should be fired for that steak and at a steakhouse id be ashamed to be the owner of that place and to have that as my cook, I wish I could've cooked my own then it would have been good atleast read more

I have really got to compliment The Outback here in Niles, Ohio. They have really improved their service over the past year - so much in fact that we not only dined in weekend before last - but my husband brought home take away this past Friday for us. Both experiences were absolutely wonderful and our family is very pleased. Let me start with our dine in experience. We used call ahead seating around 7:30pm on a Saturday night and only had to wait about 20 minutes for a table. Our waitress arrived promptly for drink and appetizer orders and they were out to us in no time. I was impressed! Our meal was also quick to arrive and each of us had a different cut of steak. My husband had the Porterhouse, I had a Victoria's Filet (9.oz) and my daughter chose a 9oz Sirloin. All of them were cooked just perfectly. We all love rare and mid rare so for them to be perfect is sometimes not as easy as you would think. My daughter tried the new Bacon Bourbon add on to her steak and it was delicious! I tasted it and wish I had chose it as well. We all agreed the dinner was one of the best we have had in ages. The atmosphere is a bit loud BUT it was a Saturday night so I am not complaining at all. We took my sister home a Side Ceaser Salad that was big enough to be a whole meal and she said it was also one of the best salads she had tasted in a long time! This past weekend as I mentioned my husband brought home dinner for our family. he and my daughter got burgers while my sister had another Ceaser Salad and a baked potato. I tried the Chicken and Shrimp Alfredo. We all ate for less than 50! It's $30 to go to Mcdonald's or Taco Bell so Ill gladly pay the extra $20 for a quality meal! They had everything packaged perfectly. Really great service once again! We will be coming back more often for sure! read more

Have gone to the Niles location several times over several years because we know that we will have a delicious meal with high quality service every time. We always start with a bloomin onion and the ahi tuna and I almost always get a steak, but this time I got the bloomin burger and my dinner guests got the ribs and the prime rib. This really is our favorite Steakhouse! The food has been consistently great along with the service. They are fast AND they have real butter!!! Some of the "good " restaurants I've been to don't have REAL BUTTER! I won't eat anywhere that doesn't have real butter; that's what makes everything taste so good! We love Outback! read more

I cannot begin to say enough about Ben Roads and the entire Outback staff. Being confined to home during this pandemic has been a huge ordeal for all of us. I placed on online order through Outback in Niles, and scheduled it to arrive at my home at 7:20 pm. I received a text message stating my food was on the way and it arrived ten minutes earlier than it was scheduled and above all it was hot and very tasty. The delivery driver was not just an employee but also a member of Management. His name was Marc. He made sure our order was checked for accuracy and he delivered it with the most upbeat attitude. This establishment for those of you who do not know, gives back to its community more than you can even imagine. I am glad too see that Outback has increased its delivery area so we can be supportive of this restaurant during its time of need. Thank you to all of you for taking a very rough situation and showing us that their is light at the end of the tunnel. The service here is terrible. I went here with my boyfriend for a nice dinner and we went later in the afternoon and the place was almost empty besides us and about 4 other tables in the entire restaurant. It took us about 2 hours to complete our visit because the service was incredibly slow and uninvolved. After we finished our meal it took (no joke) 30 minutes until someone took our plates and another 10 until they gave us the bill. Not a waiter was insight for us to even flag down to get someone to notice us. Very upsetting and the food was nothing to ride home about. Texas Roadhouse is cheaper and better and right down the road. Take your business there instead. read more

The salmon was prepared just right. The mixed veggies we also tender. The chopped pecan salad was excellent. I sat at the bar and the service was good. Probably not as much attention from the server as you get at a table but it was fine. I normally eat at an Outback when I'm traveling as the quality is consistent. Service was solid, food compared to previous was below average, our shrimp had its batter falling off, some were crunchy some were soft, just so inconsistent. Places need to hire cooks that have a clue what they are doing. Our steaks compared to previous weeks were also off. This area suffers a severe deficit in people who understand food and how to cook. Prices are going up, service is spotty. Why would I take a chance to spend 50 plus dollars on a meal when you can go anywhere and get a meal of this quality. read more

I have to be honest, Outback in Niles has really improved their food, service and ambiance. I never used to like going here because the food wasn't great for the money but in the last couple of years they have improved everything. The food is great, the staff are friendly and the service is excellent. I don't eat steak but I come for the grilled salmon. Hands down some of the best grilled salmon around. The bread has always been a classic favorite of mine, I can eat 2 loaves by myself it is so good. The waiters are attentive and when you ask for more bread or extra condiments they bring them quickly and keep the coffee fresh and full. My mom's favorite chain restaurant steak is Outback's bone-in ribeye. I've never eaten it but it sure looks and smells fantastic. read more

My take out experience was horrific. I had ordered a 9 oz sirloin "medium" with baked potato and coconut shrimp. My girlfriend had ordered the Alice spring chicken/ baby back rib combo with chicken bite appetizer.Although the carry out staff was friendly, when I got home my steak was over cooked--not slightly but burnt and tough. The coconut shrimp was not crispy but soggy ( the sogginess could be attributed to the steam and in the carry out container so I let that slide) my girlfriends alice springs chicken was great but her famous baby back ribs where so tough that they tasted like day old ribs heated in a microwave and were thrown away. I called right away to have the manger address this problem but I was told he was busy and would call me back. About an hr later he had called. I told him the problem. he didn't sound too concerned, in fact, he sounded annoyed with my complaint. Although the end result was rectified, the customer service left a lot to be desired. I will probably Repatronize this establishment again because the food here usually is good with exceptional customer service but this experience was probably the worst I've had. read more

I used to love Outback, but haven't been in awhile. The food was ok, but the salads don't taste fresh. The bread was good, but they give you practically no butter. Ask for more and it finally comes when the bread is cold. The place is a bit dumpy. The ladies room has 3 stalls. in one the toilet seat is held on by one screw, so is hanging off the toilet. In The handicapped one the sanitary napkin disposal is also hanging by one screw also. Both easy fixes, but perhaps they don't care. The worst part of our visit was our waitress. Her name was Dua D. In the beginning I made a joke telling her to make sure she put my water on my bill. (We had 2 bills) She rolled her eyes, and had a very nasty look on her face. My daughter and I were stunned by her behavior. So fine, you don't think I'm funny, just smile and let it go! well none of us were impressed with this outback and we will Never go back. read more

We will be back. My hubs and I stopped in last Monday night when there was little else open in the area. This was a well-made decision. We sat at the bar and ordered food, which was delivered promptly. The entire staff were not only polite, but very friendly, regardless of the fact that it was VERY close to closing time! My salad was dreamy, and my hubby's steak was cooked perfectly (we live in the city of Chicago, so trust me when I tell you that we don't mess around). Went to Outback Steakhouse in Niles Christmas Eve at 6PM. Come 11PM at night, my son started feeling queasy after his dinner of Parmesan Crusted Chicken. He vomited and had diarrhea the entire night from 2AM onwards. It's 10AM Christmas Day and he is miserable. It certainly appears as though safety short-cuts were taken by someone not wanting to be there on Christmas Eve. Sadly, my son paid the price. read more

We went to Outback steak house in Niles Ohio on Christmas Eve for dinner. My sister and I ordered filet 6 oz. medium temp. They came out over well done and half the thickness of a normal filet and my daughter ordered salmon and it came out raw. We did get our meal for free and they cooked us new ones. However our steaks were way too peppery and still super thin. I could not eat it. We usually like to go to Outback for our traditional Christmas Eve dinner but we will never go there again. read more

I really want to like this place but, man, they need to get their act together cooking steak. Went there today for late lunch. Not busy at all. I had a bad feeling when our server didn't write down our order. I ordered my steak medium. I got very well done. Told the server, then the manager comes. They replace it. The manager watches me cut into it. It's bright red rare. I said I couldn't eat that. She asked me if I wanted a box to take it home. So my lunch was bread and broccoli. They took it off the bill but I'd rather have had a nice steak. I gave 3 stars because my partner liked his meal. I have a suggestion: how about investing in an instant read thermometer? read more

I ordered online tonight, after being sick for 4 days I finally was excited to eat !! Well, that was all ruined !! I ordered a hamburger well done with a side salad. When I got home and began to eat it all came to a halt, the burger was dam near rare ( I took a picture), I called to store and spoke to Kim the manager, she said to come back down and they will make a new one - about 20 minutes. I had to get in my car and drive back down there which didn't make me very happy. Back home yet again I go to eat and yep you guessed it, it was burnt ( I also took a picture) I eat here often and always get my burger well done and its awesome but not tonight. So it doesn't end there, I get notifications when I use my debit card and a charge for 26.97 shows up... hmmm. So I go onto my online account and there are 3 charges, 1 for 26.97 which did then show a credit and 2 charges for 15.98 (that's how much mine was) I called the store again and asked why my card had all these charges??? She had some reason about being busy and when they remade the food it got charged again???? Hell, it should have been free in my opinion and I got charged twice. UGH She NEVER asked how my new burger was, pretty sad that the manager didn't even ask. I went on to explain to her that this burger was burnt, she was rather annoyed which didn't set well with me, I AM THE ONE WHO SHOULD BE ANNOYED NOT HER, she apologized for the overcharges on my card but not one word about my burnt burger. So to sum it all up I didn't eat either burger and I paid for it twice - WOW - something is definitely wrong with this picture. I own several QSR restaurants and if any of my managers treated my customers like this they would definitely have some disciplinary action taken or be retrained in customer service. we came in on saturday 7/22/17 at 913pm. we sat at a hightop table and got a really nice waitress wendi s. the blue moon and cokes were icy cold. we had bread and butter within seconds and before you know it the aussie sampler was done . best looking sampler i mean it was fresh fries, with cheese and bacon pieces cut well ,the cook cared, the onion petal pieces, and mac and cheese balls were not all blown up, burnt or double dipped , it was fresh. next the salads were out again really decent looking blue cheese bacon wedge ,then we got some breaded shrimp , steak and was cooked medium well inside perfect but he actually got a nice sear to the outside that is what i love . they hooked us up w refills .waitress was right on the money,cooks that cared, even the manager asked us if we liked everything.
