I go here whenever I get in the mood for a blooming onion. Other places say they have something similar, but it's just not the same.

We went to Outback on Memorial and unfortunately had one of the worst dining experiences we've had in a long time. The bread was served cold, the mashed potatoes were bland and cold, and the asparagus was soggy. I ordered my steak medium-rare, but it was so tough I could barely chew it. The pasta on another plate tasted like it had been reheated, and the shrimp was rubbery, smelled unpleasant, and had an odd texture. To make matters worse, the area where we were seated had a strong odor that smelled like dirty, wet laundry. Our server was okay, and the manager kindly stopped by after noticing we barely touched our meals. He even offered us complimentary dessert, which we appreciated, but after such a disappointing meal, we simply weren't interested. Hubby wanted to do something nice for me tonight and I asked for Outback. It was SO good.... I had the steakhouse salad and it was absolutely great! My meat was cooked to perfection! I love a meat salad as a go to and they did not disappoint! I would definitely order this again with the yummy bread on the side... delicious! Thanks to the chef and servers at this location! I have to admit I didn't have high expectations of this restaurant, partially because of some negative reviews. But we turned out to have a great experience. Food was good (relative to this type of restaurant - mid tier/mass appeal/chain). Our server Bridget was amazing. She did have help from a couple other people too. I got the Ribeye Medium Rare with Toowomba sauce. It was cooked properly and quite tasty. While not being the best cut, it was reasonably tender and well marbled. I also had a house salad, which was as good as can be expected at this type of place. We also got the Blooming Onion which we all agreed was good, but extremely greasy. The three of us could only eat less than a quarter. We finished off sharing a huge slice of raspberry cheesecake, which was also good. We went back, Couldn't help ourselves. Walkabout Wednesday, plus two fabulous meals to go for $51 total out the door, less the tip. Kara was amazing, she was serving, bartending, seating and running the show with Grace. Our two $10 meals to go were absolutely delicious. I came to eat on a Saturday night closer 10pm it was pretty empty and I got seated immediately. Our waiter was nice and the volume was very low. I had the Kingsland shrimp pasta and asparagus ,some of the asparagus needed to be cooked a little longer at the bottom, the steak wasn't too seasoned and I needed more Alfredo sauce which was accommodated. This restaurant is great! The owner Corey Teel is top notch. He was more than happy to replace a drink I didn't like and he was very welcoming asking what brought me to the city. I told him that I was there for my husband who had just had a Spontaneous pancreas and kidney transplant. He was beyond generous wanting to help. The staff was also great and the food was delicious with your waiters making sure that you are happy with it, I can't say that for very many other places these days. You can barely get a drink refill at most places these days, but not here the staff is always near. If you're in OKC give this place a try!!! read more

Went tonight and got two of the new ribeye steaks. As soon as the plates came to the table we noticed a fishy/rotten smell. I tried my steak and it tasted fine and didn't smell strange. My husband tried his and immediately said it tasted off. I tried it and immediately spit it out because it was very obviously spoiled. We brought this to our waitress attention and she was very concerned and apologized and stated she would immediately let the manager know. She came back and said they took the steak off the ticket and that it must have been " a bad cut of steak". We never even had the manager Don (got the manager name from server) come talk to us. We ended up leaving before finishing our meals because our appetite was completely ruined after trying that steak. We got there right at 11 o'clock and was immediately seated. Brooklyn was our amazing waitress. My husband got the sirloin and the lobster mac and it came with a side, and he chose Caesar salad. The Caesar salad was amazing, dressed to perfection, crisp, and delicious. The lobster mac & cheese was good, noodles cooked al dente, but slightly dry for our liking. There was four or five pieces of lobster on the mac & cheese, The lobster was tasty. The steak had a great flavor . I got the blooming onion cheeseburger with fries. The fries were piping hot seasoned to perfection. The cheeseburger could've used a little bit more blooming onion sauce for my liking and I thought the bun was slightly stale. We also got the Tim tam brownie cake which is a brownie, peanut butter mouse and a chocolate mousse with caramel sauce, and Tim tams on top, it was great. It was not overly sweet which we enjoyed. Friday, April 7, 2023 This restaurant deserves five stars not only for the food but for the people. After suffering a disaster via a meal delivery service a call to the restaurant connected me with Jose the kitchen manager who went above and beyond to fix the issue. The delivery service should've been the one to correct this but they were too difficult to deal with. Through seeking resolution with the restaurant instead I came in contact with the most surprising and superb Customer Service I have not seen in a long time. The very next day I took my daughter to lunch and not only was the food absolutely wonderful but the service was exemplary! I ordered the Toowomba salmon and French onion soup and my daughter ordered the Barramundi. Both meals were cooked perfectly and delicious. Our waitress Taylor, gives Customer Service a personality, with her attentiveness, wit and charm. Both Jose and owner Corey Teel visited our table to assure everything had been resolved to my satisfaction. This type of exemplary customer service is not found every day. Next time you feel like a great meal and super Customer Service go to this Outback you will enjoy not only great food but wonderful people. read more

On Monday, 1/8/24, at 5:15p ordered Queensland chicken and shrimp pasta....came with almost NO Alfredo sauce. Asked for additional since it was mostly just noodles. What ever you do, don't order for delivery and expect your steak to be cooked to order. We ordered Sunday, November 10, 2019 for delivery through Door Dash. Two 8 oz sirloins, one medium and one mesium-well. We got rare steaks. (See pictures) We also ordered a chicken strip dinner and the chicken strips were hard & obviously overcooked, and a caesar salad. The salad was packed in the bottom of the bag with the other food on top, not separate, same bag. Yum...warm salad . All around a terrible dinner that over $50 was spent on. If I could give it zero stars, I would. But I do have to give the one star to our server, James. He was the only good thing about our visit. When we got there, they were not busy at all as most tables were empty. (That should have been our first clue). There was no one there to greet us. James offered some solutions in when we declined them he said he will take care of it. A manager has to make any credits on a check, and he didn't even bother to come talk to us. When I ordered a steak medium rare it came out very raw. It was the first time in my entire life that I have asked to have a steak cooked a little more. The courteous service continued throughout our meal-even when it took us forever to decide what to order. My husband had a gift card, so he decided to splurge a little and order the seafood platter. The platter came with a lobster tail, crab cakes, wood-fire grilled shrimp on the barbie plus a loaded baked potato. He enjoyed the lobster tail, which he said was small, but sweet and delicious. Had an awesome experience at this particular Outback today. I haven't been to an Outback in about 12 years and this was only my 2nd ever time eating at one. The food was phenomenal and the service was top notch! Eric was great! I hope he always gets the best section and even gets to choose which shifts he wants to work. I particularly like this Outback Steakhouse and have specifically been to this location on multiple occasions. I usually get the 10 oz ribeye with broccoli and cheese for the side for $21. They often get the steak how I want it. I think they overcooked it only once if I recall. Service is good even though really slow if you walk in. However with reservation ahead of time, everything is good. Lunch hour is good as well which is surprising and why I personally recommend this location. Do not get me wrong. I love Outback Steakhouse and eat there often. I have been using "take home" more than usual and have found a pattern at this location. When ordering online, you are given a special instructions box for each meal and another on at the end of the order before sending it through for payment and pickup. I have noticed that most often the person at this location is not bothering to read all the special instructions. On tonight's visit, I asked for "extra dressing" for both salads. When getting home there was not an extra cup of dressing or either salad. I ordered both steaks at medium rare. The six ounce was medium rare but the eight ounce was more medium than rare. When eye balling both steaks, I could not really tell which steak was the larger. I supposed the less cooked was but only by a hair. I asked for one baked potato with no chives but both cups of add ons for the baked potatoes were alike. I asked for an extra bread which I know for a fact that it is never in my sack when it comes to the car and I could tell that the person that brought it out "knew" there would be no extra bread as he told me let me g Hostin asking, "You don't think your vote counts?" and Behar bluntly wondering, "Why bother voting?"o get you one as I don't know if they put one in. He knew there was no extra bread because that happened to me one time and one loaf is not enough for two meals. So there it is. Outback Steakhouse is absolutely my favorite restaurant. It is always clean, it always has great food. The service is okay, but the food makes up for it ;). Unfortunately we recently had an experience where me and my family ( 3 people) were there on a Friday night, so of course it was busy. About an hour wait. Two men walk in skip the line and walk right up to an open table and are served. It was so rude and disrespectful. I can't believe management or staff did nothing about this. Disappointed would be the title of this review, having had outbacks regular prime rib steak and loving it I expected the sandwich to easily satisfy my lunchtime needs. Although the server was great his name Jake great service and my wife's salmon was wonderful as usual, the prime rib sandwich was horrible. The meat was tough maybe microwaved leftover prime rib. Instead of being in thin sliced as the pictured menu and as every other prime rib sandwich in town is served, mine was in chunks. As far as I could tell this might as well have been beef bottom roast meat. I will never order this again, as you can see from the picture the meat was very sparce as well. I think I was missing half the sandwich. Shame on you outback, BJ's charlestons and Texas roadhouse all do so much better. read more
