What is the cherry on top is the terrific, professional service I am shown each and every time. Very disappointing experience. I have been to Outback many times and always enjoyed it until I came to this location. My friend & myself both ordered ribeye steaks, med rare. Hers was very good & she was happy but mine came out well done & was tough as leather. I couldn't even cut it. I told my server, who acknowledged this & told me she would bring me a fresh one. My friend was just about done when the replacement came, only to have the same thing. Again, I could barely cut it, and it was way over cooked. She told me she would bring yet another and I said forget it. Take it off the bill I'll eat somewhere else. When she came with the bill she mentioned they removed my meal, like she did me a big favor. Of course I'm not paying for something I never received. Totally ridiculous! I then spoke with the manager, Betsy, who was very pleasant and apologetic. As we were getting up to leave, Betsy approached me, apologized again and insisted I take a $20 gift card. She asked me to please come back & give them another chance, but I will probably use it at a location I know I can trust. Thank you, Betsy for being a great manager who was genuinely sorry. Along with the Wedge Salad I ordered and never got. :-( Our party of three were planning on a light dinner: a Wedge Salad for myself, another one with a side of salmon for a second dining friend, and an appetizer of shrimp for a third friend. They were served their shrimp, even though they said they wanted it served along with the salads. Having finished the shrimp, and waiting about 40 minutes, I said, "What's taking so long? Most of us have been to Outback at one time or another. This one turned out to be one of my favorite. A nice peaceful ambiance with excellent service (thanks Mary), beautiful decor, impeccable timing and delicious food. The new Expresso Ribeye had great marbling and flavor. The Onion Soup was particularly scrumptious with the aid of the bread and cheese which added depth of flavor. Even the salad hit the spot and I like the roll as well. For example, I don't think I've ever once even touched the door before being greeted with a warm welcome. And boy do they get you seated in no time! Always on their A game, extremely friendly, polite as can be, and will do whatever is necessary to accommodate your party. In my case, my family and I prefer to take a spot at the bar where we can get a good look at their beautiful TV's to watch our Tampa Bay Sports teams all year long. You'll have a great view of the vast beer selection they have on tap as well as their expansive liquor and wine selections. They boast a large variety of your domestic beers and imports, as well as your craft beers and IPA's.. if that suits your fancy. I'm more of a top shelf margarita guy ;) The service behind the bar is second to none in the Tampa Bay Area. This group truly feels like family every time we step into the restaurant. They notice the small things before you even think of them. Highly effective communicators, they make sure you are comfortable, and most importantly taken care of. It's not just any other chain where you'll sit and wait 20 minutes for a drink to be poured. No way. You can leave a comment on here if that ever happens and I'll go buy you a beer. And I mean that, I've been coming to this Outback for years upon years and I've never had the dreaded thought- "what is taking them so long?". That just does not happen. Special shout-out to Ridge, one of the best bartenders in town, and also one of the best people I've ever met. Keep up the hard work back there. These people are driven by the best management in the business. Every good team is spearheaded by a great leader. Our very own proprietor Tim does a remarkable job with this establishment and that is why it has been a staple in our lives for many years now. He does everything the right way and steers the ship in the direction it needs to go day in and day out. It's no walk in the park to do what he does but he makes it look EASY! We are extremely grateful he has given us a home away from home in this Outback. Will all that being said... you go to a restaurant to eat food!!! I would be absolutely remiss to not mention the kitchen staff. On time and on target. This outback is special because it's not a restaurant where you go, "Oh this is really good there but don't get this". No. EVERYTHING is good and they do a great job of keeping it that way. I will list some of my personal favorites for you to try and let me know what you think. Appetizers: THE BEST CHEESE FRIES IN TOWN. I mean that, I'm not blowing smoke. Dip those bad boys in some ranch and thank me later. Kookaburra Wings? Yes please. Try them medium for a good kick. Soup: Potato soup. Potato soup. Potato soup. I hate to be redundant but also... best in town. If that doesn't seem to be your cup of tea, go with the French Onion. But seriously, try that potato soup. Salad: Fresh and crisp house salad to pair with your favorite entree. I love their honey mustard dressing to top it off. Entrees: Can't go wrong with the juicy Center Cut Sirloin but if you're looking to spice it up a bit don't be afraid to try the Filet or the Ribeye. Well worth it. (The Burgers are also sneakily mouth watering) Sides: Amazing broccoli if you're looking to add a healthy side. I also really enjoy their sweet potato with the brown sugar cinnamon butter! Last but not least: Dessert Thunder and Lightning. Chocolate Thunder from Down Under?! AND Butter Cake?! Sign me up. Truthfully, this Outback is the perfect blend of elegance and affordability. Where else can you get a perfectly cooked to order steak, a soup or salad and a side for under 15 dollars? Not to mention the unlimited loads of the world famous Outback pumpernickel bread and butter. (Though I recommend saving some room for other items I'll get to on the menu.) I am a longtime Bloomin Brands customer. Have been a member of their dine-rewards program since inception. With that in mind I have eaten at many OB's and the other brands in their system . But what happened on the last Saturday evening of February this year at this location has turned me off to this particular store. We took two other guests for dinner, it was a busy night but were seated after a short wait but to get waited on 10-15 minutes later. My wife ordered with her entree a house sales plain with blue cheese on the side and twin lobster tails. She received a USED salad ( lettuce sitting on a bed of other dressing you could see) blue cheese was on the side. Lobster tails were the size of large shrimp and do dry could eat them (over cooked). Sent back the salad untouched no apology , no visit from a manger to discuss and tails just didn't eat them. Again no acknowledgement from management. FINAL COMMENT- 1) don't go on a busy night, there is no attention to service or detail , 2) don't expect a manager will get involved if you have an issue, the one I saw stood at the checkin station telling the hostesses what to do but they were doing fine without him, 3) even after writing a review to a questionnaire sent by dine-rewards don't expect a response, I guess they don't care even they are the ones that requested it. REMEMBER- spend your money where you feel appreciated and enjoy the atmosphere. As for this OB I am choosing not to. read more

Um, this is weird, but I have to give this Outback five stars. The door was opened cheerily for us upon arrival, we were seated immediately, and our waiter, Michael, was incredibly attentive and personable. The decor in this restaurant makes it more upscale than a typical Outback. It's open and visually interesting. Perfect for a date night. It wasn't too crowded or too loud, despite all the tables in our area holding multiple families. Michael gave us plenty of time to order, checked on us at ideal intervals, and was very helpful when we were looking for a specific drink on the menu. My fiancé and I ordered a bloomin' onion to start, and it was the best one we've ever had. Usually, they come out golden brown but are a little soggy in some spots. This one was a healthy brown, crispy, and delicious. We both ordered the Victoria's filet mignon, I with the garlic butter topping and he with the bbq bacon. My steak came out perfectly cooked. Spot-on medium rare. Each bite melted in my mouth. The side of broccoli was steamed to perfection, easily cut with a fork but still firm. The side of mac & cheese was out of this world! It comes in a cute little skillet, and it was steaming hot. Just how I like it! I didn't even have to salt and pepper it. It was perfect! So much cheese, the right amount of panko on top, perfectly cooked pasta... I nearly died of happiness. My fiancé's steak smelled DIVINE, and the bbq sauce with bacon was delicious. I was a little jealous! It was a hair undercooked (came out medium instead of medium well), but he loved the taste. The side of fries with his steak were cooked exactly how we like them: completely crispy with not a single soggy fry to be seen! To top off our great experience, Michael doubled our $5 off coupon for the filet mignon, since we had both ordered one. He said it just made sense, and we agree! We had been debating whether or not to both order one, since coupons are usually only one per table... but we both love filet and couldn't resist. I'm so glad Michael went the extra step for us. Another chain restaurant that has good chef in the kitchen. You can feel it when the food comes out. They also has Wednesday night special for limited time. They are running a $9.95 6 oz sirlion with fried and beer. Such a good deal. I got special of the night. The selection of the meat has good quality. I have ask for medium rare. The outside is completely cook but the inside still see red less pink. This is very good skill from the chef. The middle of the did not feel cool too which make this well prepared over the grille. I also got sheared Ahi tuna. This is favorite from this restaurant. I like that overlay over Asian dressing slaw. It has every good thing with about the appetizer. My family and I have been going to this Outback Steakhouse whenever I am in town. It always has a table readily available for us no matter the time of day we go in. Complimentary warm and soft bread paired with smooth butter always preceding our delicious meal. This time around I ended up ordering a seafood special where I could get some lobster, fried shrimp, and mac and cheese! We had a family of 5 and it was during dinner rush hour, so our food came out all together perhaps after 30 minutes of waiting. The lobster was deliciously fried and easy to peel from its shell. It didn't have as much flavor as the shrimp did, but nonetheless still tasty. The mac and cheese was the highlight of the whole meal! it was very rich and cheesy, but not to the point of feeling too heavy after eating. Although treated as a side dish, it could be enough for a small meal. I am not sure if I would go to Outback be it not for my family, but when we do go, I have had great experiences so far at this Outback. I am glad we continue to eat here! read more

We have been happy at this restaurant a hundred times prior to last night. A couple years ago we noticed the steaks were different. Still our favorite date night spot however. Last night I went to dinner with my sisters and ordered a bone in ribeye. Why do you order a bone in ribeye? Because the bone gives the meat more flavor. My steak had no bone. I took the whole thing apart looking for the bone. It was a good steak so I didn't complain until I got the bill for the bone in. What was infuriating was that the server first went to my plate digging for a bone. Then called his manager over. She took the plate in the back, came back to my table and literally told me "we were able to find the bone. It was tiny but it was there." So, I paid all that extra money for the bone in flavor for what she herself called a "tiny bone "? And then, to go into the back and scour through the steak to try and "find it". I am a grown executive woman, Who has a great job, my husband has a great job, and we are blessed with all the money that we need. It wasn't that it was the money that mattered, it was the principle of paying for bone in, when I didn't have a bone in ribeye. I don't think I will ever forget how that manager tried to ridicule me at the table. I do hope your general manager will be able to talk to this manager and the server and explain the picking apart food in front of a person to "search for a tiny bone" is completely ridiculous. The issue is that you guys are buying bone in ribeyes with no bone, or in your words, a tiny bone. That's not why people buy a bone in ribeye, and you're a steakhouse and you should know that. To ridicule a grown adult is uncalled for, and I'm not sure I'll be able to come back to your restaurant. She should be ashamed of herself, and I hope that she is disciplined appropriately. read more

To add some variety I got the Drover's Ribs and Chicken platter. The chicken was surprisingly excellent, it was very tender and juicy, I actually liked it better than the steak. 5/5 stars for the food, but 3/5 for the service since our waitress was gone most of the time and never refilled our water and tea drinks.
