This guy is the biggest scammer out there. He will keep your boat forever and then will charge you double what he originally quoted you. He tries to act like a nice guy in the beginning but if you challenge him he completely goes off the rails. His place looks like a boat junkyard what hasn't been cleaned in about 20 years. Outboard Barn Jim Roy 631-669-6060 Unfortunately, these days, it seems it is almost impossible to find a boat mechanic that knows what he's doing and even harder to find an honest mechanic. Jim Roy from Outboard Barn, Inc. falls into the same category. You need some work to be done on your boat, you agree on the price, pay ( of course in cash, none of these guys want to pay taxes), you come back to pick up your boat and the boat still has the same problems and on top of that, the owner of Outboard Barn argues with you and wants more money. Now the job is twice the amount of money originally agreed on and, of course, you were never provided you with any written contract or estimate prior to working on the boat. This is always the way with this kind of people, no respect or common courtesy- take it or leave it.
