At the end of my last indoor season I decided to reward myself after our league meet with a massage at Greek Isles. I kid you not, it REJUVENATED my broken body. I think the service runs about $70 for an hour of deep tissue massage, which is definitely not cheap, but it's a great way to treat yo'self. Michelle is super-professional and absolutely knows what she's doing. During the massage, ambient piano music plays, and the walls are covered in tulle and twinkly lights, so the room is dimly lit and relaxing as soon as you walk in. Just being in that vicinity made me feel more serene. Beyond the life-changing massage, the rest of the Greek Isles ~experience~ isn't half bad. The salon is adorable, the receptionists are friendly, and they offer tons of different services. It can be kind of difficult to get ahold of them, but once you do, it's super-easy to book an appointment.

And on Monday, preferably. I get a lot of massages. It's my pain relief and my stress relief especially as my primary job is physically taxing. I love it though, almost as much as I enjoy keeping my massages regular. This is why... I was pleasantly delighted how Venus can fit me in today on a Monday and honor my request of having Jose. His massages coupled with his professionalism and competency are incredibly relaxing. So intensely relaxing... that...ha ha! I left without the water bottle I came in with and had to go back! Jose helped the absolute brutal pinched nerve that I walked in with, coupled with his competency and professionalism. The rest of the facility is very nice too, professional and like a day spa experience. The coffee and herbal tea bar is also a nice touch. I've had a pedicure before here and it was lovely as well. The owners put some money into this place. Everything is new, rooms are quiet and AC just right. The usual language barrier, but it all works out. A good massage, starts with towel, then goes to skin. Being it was the second time, I ended up with a different woman. Both different techniques but delivered a good result. No offerings of "extras" or hanky panky which made me less nervous about a new place. There was only one person there, so my guess was I would have had to wait if someone else was there before me.
