Everything was going perfectly until a waitress came and said that there would be a 30 minute wait on the two baked potatoes that were ordered. The sandwiches came out cold and dry, the replacement sandwich for one of the baked potatoes was a bunch of chunks of tasteless something. The only good part about this place was leaving it. The table next to ours had the same waitress come and let them know that it would be some time before they could get their order due to lack of preparation. I had written about my negative first visit to Outlaws a few weeks ago and in response was sent a card for a free meal of my choice, which I thought was very kind for them to do. Yesterday, I finally got around to my 2nd visit and was in anticipation of a great BBQ. I went about 1 p.m. and ordered the 3-meat BBQ plate. My selections were, the ribs, brisket and chopped pork with fries and a side-salad. The first thing I put in my mouth was a Luke-warm French fry, followed by a bite of a large, thick rib that didn't look cooked all the way through (very fatty) and again just Luke-warm. The salad was descent, just real small. Next, I took a bite of the Brisket, which was very tender and the best tasting of the three meats. I took a couple of the limp cold fries and dipped them in the house sauce which was tasty. I then found the very small portion of the chopped pork and took a bite after I dipped them in the sauce and the pork was good just not much of it. I finished about half of the order and took the rest home in a Togo box. I went home and put the box in the refrigerator and about 6 p.m. I warmed the contents at 350 for 15 minutes and finished the meal. I was awakened about 4:45 a.m. with the urge to visit the Thrown of which I did 6 times in the next 4 hours with a very liquid case of the "Montezuma's" revenge. Note: The only thing I ate before my visit was a bowl of shredded wheat and a handful of walnuts. I am considering contacting the health department Monday morning and I still have the rib bones in my freezer for proof but just considering further action. At 73, I can't risk my health, so I will most definitely not be eating there again. read more

This is a decent no-frills establishment for good food at a reasonable price. All the food is good, especially the sausage. The chicken is cooked well and wasn't dry. The bbq beans were good. I come through the Pineville area occasionally and have often wondered about Outlaw's BBQ. Finally, tonight I decided it was time! I walked up to the counter to order and had no idea what to get. I asked a couple of questions and got half hearted responses from the girl taking my order. Finally I decided to get the 2 meat plate with brisket and pork, BBQ beans and potato casserole. I sat at the big round table and eagerly awaited my food. A different girl walked up and dropped my plate on the table, grabbed the round thingy off the table and retreated. I was completely underwhelmed by what I saw on my plate. I thought there must be some mistake! No roll? Well,I decided to dig in. It didn't look like much food for the money, but maybe it would be the best thing I've had in a while. Disappointment sat in quickly. Everything was so bland! This is an amazing spot for BBQ! I highly recommend you come try this place out, especially if you're from out of town and craving some good BBQ. I ordered the Outlaw Plate and half a pound of brisket, I was really hungry. I wasn't expecting for them to add a lot of meat to the plate like most BBQ places do, I'd say I got pound and a half of meat not including the other half I ordered. Enough to get you full until the next day. Service was really great, they come out and give you your food instead of having to pick it up yourself. Plenty of space inside the restaurant, looks small from the outside but spacious on the inside. Definitely coming back! read more

I think I would've gotten better food from McDonald's quarter pounder and a barbecue dipping sauce. If you are looking for a fancy restaurant this isn't it. It looks like a barn. I like it because you get good food in a warm environment. I would give more stars but that drive through crew was just nasty. My husband and I quit going to outlaws in pineville because the food wasn't good anymore. We usually order a pressed po boy We decided to go back today and try it again. We ordered a dressed pressed po boy. When they brought it I could not even tell what it was. Finally I figured out they stacked the 2 halves on. top of each other. Never had that before. They were so soggy and the bread was so thin I could see the meat through the bread. My husband never found the top piece of bread on his bottom half. We had little meat soggy lettuce and a little piece of tomato. And the po boys wete extremely small. We decided to eat them because we were pressed for time. And we figured they would say that's how we make them now!!! We give restaurants 2 chances and this was its second chance!!! No more!!! read more

My husband and I visit Outlaw's from time to time, but it's hit and miss. Sometimes the food is good and hot, and other times it's not. We just purchased two chop bakers, one was the regular potato with brisket and the other was a sweet potato with chicken. BOTH potatoes were burned on the bottom and the chicken was dry. We did not check the food before we left the drive through and did not feel like driving back to the restaurant to exchange them for fresh ones. Overall good experience and food. Sauces were good. Meat plate with sausage, ribs, and brisket was delicious. Not 100 percent thrilled with canned green beans. The slaw was good. Jesse James burger was really good with lots of Swiss and grilled onions and the fries were crispy and good but it was a very small portion of fries maybe like 10 fries total. Actually all sides were very small. Son got the bbq pork sandwich and daughter got the fried catfish plate. Ended up being right at 60 dollars total. PROS: The Mac n cheese was great, the cole slaw was great (creamy). I ended up putting sauce in my beef and it helped. The sauce was a good blend of vinegar and sweet. I will also have to add that the wings are amazing and might be the best ever. CONS: The brisket. I'm from TX though. It was a little Smokey and had a medium consistency. I wouldn't call it tough but it didn't melt in your mouth. The outer quarter of the slice is good though. read more

We ordered from waitr app from their online menu. There was a full color menu of their desserts which included a "slice of cake" with a picture of a large "slice" on a saucer. When the food arrived I was shocked to see that the "slice of cake" was a tiny cupcake about 1.5-2 inches in diameter. This was a TINY cupcake and they charged me for a "slice" ($3.32+tax). I contacted the manager asking for a refund as I did not get what was advertised and she told me that "we do not give refunds and that is our slice of cake now". This is false advertising and I will contact waitr app to let them know that Outlaw's is lying to their customers. Also it is completely unreasonable that they do not give refunds to unhappy customers. I do not HAVE to buy from outlaws and I will NOT buy from Outlaw's ever again. Such a greedy, rude, and unethical company. read more
