It's a supersized color magazine, that's larger than most standard magazines or newspapers. The magazine has beautiful full color, full page depictions of works of art that are nice enough to frame on their own. It's a beautifully designed and laid out magazine that's almost a work of art on its own. The covers are always solid works of art, unencumbered by ads or excessive headlines. The mag interviews local artists, and talks about what they're up to, and shows examples of their work and where to catch them around NM. It isn't exactly hard-hitting journalism, but that's not what they're going for. They do a great job of promoting local artists and giving NM a glimpse into all the cool, creative things going on, and where the hippest galleries are. I had no idea that there were so many galleries around town! If you're a collector, or just interested in NM art, you gotta check this publication out. I wasn't sure if it's "The Magazine" or "The Slash Magazine" or "The/Magazine." I think the slash is not spoken, like in "AC/DC."
