Shipping containers at Savannah's port tour.

Spent the weekend in Savannah and took a port tour with Mickey! It was a great experience. He cracked a few jokes and was extremely knowledgeable about Savannah's ports! If you're looking for something fun to do during the day in Savannah, this is definitely a great activity!

The tour of the Port was fantastic, even on a cool January day. CJ was a wealth of information and a great guide. I'd do it again on our next trip.

I cannot recommend the Port Tour with Outside Savannah enough! I not only learned so much about the ports, but it was amazing seeing River Street from the river along with being able to see the container ships up so close! The tour was so informative and fun! A great activity for locals and anyone visiting Savannah. I can't wait to go on another Outside Savannah Tour!

Daufuskie & Page Islands boat tour at sunset.

My group of 7 women took the Daufuskie & Page Island 5-hour tour led by Captain Ryan and we absolutely loved it ! He was very knowledgeable about the habitat and history of the islands. Our trip included a golf cart ride around Daufuskie Island ending at the marina where I learned what a "scrap iron" was. Sweet tea & corn whiskey! I would highly recommend this tour and request Ryan. We had a blast!

Savannah Riverboat Lunch Cruise: Great Experience, But Skip the Included Lunch…read more My husband and I took the Savannah Riverboat Cruise with the lunch option, and overall, it was a memorable outing we'd happily repeat--with one change. The service was fantastic: friendly, attentive, and professional throughout. The boat itself is beautiful, with lovely views of the Savannah River and historic sites. The captain's narration was a highlight. He provided fascinating facts, interesting historical tidbits, and maritime knowledge about the area the entire time--only pausing briefly for questions, which he answered thoroughly. My husband was particularly impressed by his expertise on the local maritime history. A fun moment came when we passed Old Fort Jackson--they fired a cannon at us! It was thrilling to hear the boom and imagine what it must have felt like in the past. Unfortunately, the included lunch was the one disappointment. The food was lackluster and completely lacking in flavor--it tasted bland and unseasoned, almost like institutional or nursing home fare. Everything was just overall "blah." We'd definitely do the riverboat tour again. Next time, though, we'd skip the lunch package and either grab something from the grill on the top deck or eat before or after the cruise. Highly recommend the experience for the boat, views, and narration--just plan your own meal!

Overrated. Upon…read morearrival, the ticket-taker did not greet us. He simply said, "Tickets." No, "Welcome aboard!", no "Glad you're cruising with us." and no "We're happy to see you. Where are you traveling from?" Nothing. No welcome or warm greeting. The next person wanted us to take a picture. For money, no doubt. No way. We're already not wanted, why would you want a picture? I've already decided I'm not spending any more money after being greeted in that fashion. No drinks, no snacks, and no souvenirs. The narrator was knowledgeable, had a few jokes, and was tipped appropriately. The paddlers do not run. Two stars for a knowledgeable narrator and clean restrooms. Otherwise, this riverboat cruise is a big pass.

Needless to say, the topic of slavery is an emotionally difficult subject, but a necessary topic. Sistah Patt made it interesting and educational. Take this tour. You will be happy that you did. I also took the Bonaventure Cemetery and Wormsloe tour with Dan. I enjoyed that tour as well. It was very interesting and it ends with cookies (a stop at the Byrd's Cookies store)- always a good thing.

We loaded up and left promptly. She gave us some knowledge of the area on our way. She talked the entire way of lots of things we passed! We had a disabled person with a walker and she was very considerate and helped her get her walker on and off the trolley and made sure she was first on things and ahead of the group. She also had a cooler of free waters that I thought was very considerate! The itinerary was a bit different than the website I booked from. We went from their office to the boat ride, then lunch, then the lighthouse/beach area then dropped off people at their hotels and then back to their office. She said that the ticket was good for a couple days and that if you called them they would be there within 15 minutes and drop you off where you wanted within an area. We would use this service again!

We chose to do the full loop first so we could hear Jared's complete narration before hopping off to explore. It was the perfect decision! He shared fascinating details about Savannah's rich history, along with some lesser-known fun facts that really brought the city to life. The tour sparked our excitement to visit spots we might have overlooked otherwise. The hop-on hop-off format worked brilliantly for us. Buses arrived quickly at each stop--we rarely waited long--and the stops are conveniently located near all the main tourist attractions. It got a bit crowded toward the end of the day (around 5 p.m.), and we occasionally had to wait for the next bus, but overall, it was seamless and stress-free. One small suggestion: I wish the tours ran a little later than 5 p.m. It would be ideal for avoiding parking hassles and enjoying dinner downtown--there are so many delicious restaurants to try! We highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting an easy, informative, and enjoyable way to see Savannah. Thanks to Jared for making it memorable!
