Our stay at the cougar crest house was absolutely stunning and comfortable. We were first greeted by Jackie, the white dog who was so sweet and friendly, it was a great welcome considering we got there after 5pm and picked up our house key on the outside of the office since it was closed. The accommodations were just as pictures showed, the kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, wine glasses and all essentials for cooking. The beds were comfortable with plenty of extra blankets and pillows. The bathrooms were clean and had plenty of extra towels. The washer and dryer worked well as we had laundry to do, there was even pods of detergent and dryer sheets left for us which were beyond appreciated! The outside views were just incredible and we enjoyed drinking coffee in the morning and wine at night time just looking at the mountains. Jackie came by nightly and also scratched and whimpered at the door making me (animal lover) feel terrible for not letting her spend the night inside. I was told by the staff that she is indeed NOT allowed in the house but tries to trick you! Funny girl. We loved it here and will no doubt recommend to family and friends.

Even decorated our cabin for Christmas!

This place is absolutely beautiful. We stayed here for three nights in one of the cabins. It is fully furnished. All you need to bring is food. They have coffee, hot chocolate, tea...even a BBQ, briquettes and lighter fluid. The bed was a bit soft for our liking and one of the dogs at check in was a bit aggressive. They were very knowledgeable about the area and had maps for us. We highly recommend it, beautiful farm land. We will be back!!!

Awesome place to stay & what an adorable cabin !!

Heather and Brandon make you feel welcome and cozy here, like you're friends rather than customers…read more They make a good team and enjoy what they do. They have worked hard on this historic building. Aside from some decking and stair wood that needs to be replaced, this was a unique experience for a very reasonable price. You basically get an apartment, not one room, a living room, hallway, large bathroom, and bedroom. The living room and bedroom both have a TV. There's a microwave, minifridge, and bar sink with a counter. And it was CLEAN-- not half-clean like a lot of hotel rooms, but they even cleaned spots on the carpet before arrival. They are very quick to respond when you call. They have a good grasp of local history and sights to see. This is located right across the street from a great library in a quiet town, so this is the ideal introvert getaway. It's also a gateway to forests, dams, mountains, plains where elk roam, etc. If you want to check in, have a home away from home for a few days, and just chill, this is a great place to do so. Concrete is filled with history and a lot of love has gone into their historic markers and walking tour guides. It's a place that you kind of don't want others to discover because then the developers seem to follow and destroy, but if you're going to explore the area, this is the perfect place to stay and unwind.

The kitchen was fully equipped (with dishes, pots, and pans, silverware, an oven, stove, microwave, and full size refrigerator) also... Extra pillows, shampoo, cream rinse, body wash, plenty of towels. bedroom fans and two tvs. The beds were comfortable. I'm sure the owners realize that white carpet will never come clean in this quaint but dusty little town. Should we ever venture this way again, we will most definitely stay here!!!

Ahh, Whispering Firs. A tale of two sides, if there ever was one. My wife and I stayed here…read morerecently and had some very good experiences and thoughts...but also had some very negative things as well. We had originally booked two nights, but because of the negatives we ended up staying just the first night and checked-out early. Here's the tale of the tape: The Good: - Linda and Vic (the innkeepers) are very nice. Extremely friendly and easy to talk to, Linda made us feel at home straightaway and was great company and conversation during breakfast. - Speaking of, the food was really good. We had blueberry cream cheese pancakes, bacon, and scrambled eggs for breakfast. Along side juice, fruit, and coffee/tea. Linda was also very accommodating toward dietary concerns too. - The property and view is gorgeous! Located up on a mountain area, Whispering Firs overlooks the valley and you can even see the Sound and Whidbey Island. - The house itself is warm, comfortable, and inviting. There's a beautiful deck on the backside that it multi-tiered and has a walking path around little ponds. This would be great for entertaining and lounging. The Bad: - To get there, you have to drive up a half-mile gravel road that is full of potholes and bumps. It's narrow and not something that a regular car can navigate quickly. Wish we had a 4x4 vehicle. - The bed in our room (the North Suite) was way too high. It sounds weird to say that, but at roughly 3 feet high, it was a struggle for my 8 month pregnant wife to literally climb in and out of. - There were no curtains on the windows...just blinds that didn't block out all of the light and sight lines. So, there was a big lack of privacy seeing as the windows looked out onto the deck. - This room is located right next to the breakfast room, so it is extremely loud in the mornings. Breakfast is normally served at 8:30, but our morning had a group that wanted to eat at 7:00. That meant at 6:30 things got rolling on the other side of the wall and we heard it all. Neither Good nor Bad, Just Depends on You Point of View: - There is a large collection of stuffed animals (the taxidermy type) throughout the house and bedrooms. A hunter's paradise...so may not be up your alley. All in all, this could be a lovely place to stay; but it just didn't suite us and fit our needs. For someone else, it might be perfect. In this review, I'm simply wanting you to be better informed that I was. Hope it helps.

Stay here or your life won't be complete, seriously…read more Someday Farm proves to be one of the most special places on this planet. I was impressed, grateful, satisfied, relaxed and downright happy, all due to the experience they provided us. It's a priceless escape in a serene and unforgettably picturesque setting. And the food. My god, the food. Every single bite I took left me swooning with pleasure and reminiscing about it long after it had already been digesting. We'll be recounting memories of muffins, quiche, sticky buns and strawberry cake for quite some time into the future. You can burn off the calories from breakfast (which is worth every last one) by playing with the miniature farm animals and going for a long walk in the beautiful woods. I'm not exaggerating when I say that everything about Someday Farm is perfect.

However, as a dedicated Yelper, I want to share this 5+ star recommendation. The bed is so comfortable, the breakfasts delivered to your door are amazingly delicious, and the setting has walking trails, animals and gardens. It's the little things that make this experience extraordinary: board games, a selection of movies, books and cookbooks, collections of tea, wood detailing/art, natural shampoos/conditioners/shower gels, cozy blankets on the soft sectional couch. We can't wait to go back. Thank you!
