I recommend this restaurant for many reasons. The minute we walked in we got a warm welcome by Gina the hostess. We love the atmosphere here, the food, and Michelle always makes the perfect drinks. Terrible food. No gluten Free options and the staff has no idea what gluten free is. For a restaurant that is in a Hilton Hotel I am shocked that they are still in business. Potatoes are so fried and over cooked you wouldn't know it was a potato. The chef was rude and arrogant. It's a disappointment as we are here in an extended stay. My salad was 41.00 dollars and it was lettuce and strawberries. Do not recommend. read more

Called to make a reservation and when we got there, after we were seated they took our menus and said, "my bad we have a shift change and we will have a limited menu." VERY limited. Perhaps this spot would be better suited for dinner. We ordered drinks which were fine. ‍ We ordered some chips and guacamole and that about wrapped it. Service was pretty slow. Sadly, I have been here twice and find the food mediocre. I was excited to have such a nice place in town and great ambiance. However, both times, the food just doesn't live up to the portrayal. They need a larger and more interesting menu and better preparation. The beet are okay but WAAYY too much sauce that ruins the beet flavor. The swordfish was bad, like almost tasted rotting the first time I went and the crab croquettes are really gross. There is barely any crab and the middle is like a liquid. read more

Way worse rip-off than any high-priced venue in Malibu, but without the scenery. Very loud and cramped seating, they pack you in like sardines, inches away from a drunken table for six so you can't hear anything but the obnoxious roar of the table inches from you. Then, to make matters worse, they tell you after the check comes that they added on an 18% service charge. Get real folks! Food was just average, ordinary, nothing special or memorable. Brunch 7-30-23. The ambiance is relaxing. The food is gourmet like. It's very good. Our waiter Jr. was great and attentive. The hostess was rude and unprofessional. My husband and I walked into the dining area. It was our first time there. I saw a waiter and asked him if we seat out selves or wait to be seated. The hostess comes out waving her hands then motioning a push back. So we walked back to the front. She told us we can't be in there unless we are checked in. Her demeanor was cold and rude. She did not greet us or express any type of customer service formality. For the record there was no sign anywhere stating to wait to be seated. There wasn't anyone at the desk to help us. The hostess stepped away from her post. How were we to know what their protocol is? She needs a course on how to greet and be respectful to guests. If this happens again, I will immediately ask to speak to her supervisor. Money is not an issue. We spent $150 brunch for two. I expect better treatment. Even McDonalds treats their customers better than this so called hostess. read more

An absolutely delightful experience. Great ambiance, fantastic food, and the best service I've ever experienced. Our server Aga was exceptional and regularly went around the restaurant taking care of her customers and providing updates and suggestions. We ordered the oxtail baos and steak tartar as appetizers and the cauliflower risotto and roasted duck breast for the entrees. Both appetizers were fantastic, as was the duck breast. The cauliflower risotto was just ok, but for a vegan dish it was pretty tasty. I guess I'm used to the more classic creamy risotto. Don't expect a quick meal. We were there close to 2 hours. Be mindful of this if you are coming from outside and parking in the garage. The rate is $5 per hour. However, Aga really knows how to take care of her customers so the time just flew by. Aga made our dinner fabulous. She made sure we were comfortable by turning on the heater, checking in on us, and providing recommendations. The restaurant had my favorites: steak tartare and crudo. Tartare had great flavor though the crudo had multiple sharp competing flavors. I washed it down with their sunset cocktail. I like how there's the sound of waterfalls in the background. Even better would be a sunset but that's not possible given the physical restaurant location. Overall, great! read more

I've been meaning to try Ox & Ocean after reading about it a magazine and the opportunity finally presented it self as my friend was visiting from out of state. We both had our kids--3 of them-- all 6 years and under so it was slightly hectic (due to our own kids)-- but the food was fantastic. Aga was welcoming, warm and so accommodating. The kids all had salmon with fruit and a side of probably the best fries we've ever had. The adults shared Crab Croquettes and Beet salad both were exquisitely presented and very tasty. The Harry's Berries hand pie was such a mouth-watering treat. I'll be back! Next time I'm looking forward to coming with just adult friends or my husband for the "without kids" experience.
