I waited a couple weeks before leaving this comment as part of my testing theory. Like the Oxi Fresh web site says "unlike those traditional cleaners" you know with the long 6" diameter hose and steam cleaner vacuum that leaves your carpets soaked for days, this machine is better. Yes the carpet gets wet but not soaked through to the foam pad, dries super fast. I wanted to wait and see if my puppy pee stains would re-appear at a later time as did with the previous traditional method and they haven't. This tells me Oxi Fresh is better than the traditional methods. I definitely recommend Oxi Fresh and Larry. Larry was extremely professional, punctual and informative. Use him. I have used Oxi Fresh many times. Very quiet system, I think even more quiet than my vacuum cleaner. Deep cleans foot traffic and pet stains and dries quickly as carpets are not left soaking like the traditional cleaning systems. If I could give zero stars for Oxi Fresh, I would. Everything looks great following the service, and then the problems begin, fatigue, headache, skin and eye irritation. Since the temperature and humidity levels have gone up with the onset of Summer, I have been unable to live at one end of my home due to the outgassing, and smell. The company is Oxi Fresh Franchising Co., Inc, Denver Colorado. The local franchise owner (Larry Killian), central held desk, and cutomer service department, did a duck and cover for 20 days before responding to me. The help desk lead, Alex, told me that my sickness is `unsubstantiated`, their products are Green, and could not possibly be the source of my fatique, headache, eye and skin irritation, even though the SDS for Oxi Fresh and the EPA/NIH health warnings for the chemicals in their product say otherwise. Oxi Fresh as a company doesn't appear to care that their service causes problems for their customers. I found them to be insensitive to my troubles, appearing only concerned for their liability. Today, I hired Sutherland Carpet and Upholstery to use their high powered steam cleaning process to remove all traces of the Oxi Fresh and the dirt that Oxi Fresh process leaves behind. We had used this service a few times over the years. Somehow it became the clients (our) fault that they did a rushed and incomplete job on our stairs, in December 2023, leaving the center of the stairs only clean, and the sides near the walls dirtier than before. When my husband called simply to have them come back and fix/redo properly, they said they were too busy to return as it was the holidays and insisted on giving us a full refund. We had guests coming and too late to book another cleaner at the holidays- and we declined a refund and simply wanted the stairs cleaned properly. They didn't return our call. We moved on, took the busy time reasoning, and tried to book with them just now May 2024- and they had flagged our account to not serve us! This has zero to do with the age of the carpets as all other rooms & center of stairs was perfect- just not the sloppy job on stairs. I asked him to go over 2 of the couch cushions and bed again bc they still smelled like urine after he finished (my little one has accidents). Even now they still smell like urine. The fact that he couldn't get the odor or stains out wasn't really a big deal to me; it was the dirt I still see on my couch after the cleaning. Apparently they don't clean the entire couch, just the cushions. The back, sides, and armrests were all neglected. Honestly when I sat on my cleaned, dried, and deodorized couch this morning I wanted to cry from happiness haha. Our two puppies have unfortunately regressed in their potty training and had several accidents on our ivory couch (we had blankets protecting the couch but it was that bad). The little machine used seemed to be cheap, like something anyone could buy on Amazon. I didn't feel like I was getting a service that I could have done a better job on myself. The employee Aaron was very kind, but the equipment was laughable; this is most likely way it took a while to dry and caused odor. The quality of work is not great. I appreciate that they were prompt and worked quickly to steam clean (sorry, I stand corrected "the enzyme and encapsulating technique with dual rotating brushes") my sofa and area rug for a reasonable price. However, my sofa didn't really seem clean afterwards, the cleaning solvent they used smelled slightly like vinegar, and it took so long to dry in my damp home that my carpet eventually got moldy. I have just sent the rug out for a full cleaning but it might not be salvageable. I guess steam cleaning was not a good choice for my area rug and I wish they would have told me before doing it. We were dogsitting and our little visitor had a major accident... so we desperately needed someone who was available the same day. Not only were they able to squeeze us in the same day, the guy showed up early! Did a great job cleaning not only our carpet, but also cleaned our living room rug and our entry rug! My former carpet guy could not be found, and so I searched on Yelp for someone new. While Oxi Fresh's technican was nice, on time, and the price was as I was told up front ($331 for three rooms, a stairway, an area rug, and a couch), I can't say that they did a great job. The carpets were only somewhat cleaner. Maybe like 50%-ish. As an experiment I got out my Hoover PowerScrub (I always thought my old carpet guy did a much better job than my own machine could) and went over several areas that Oxi Fresh had cleaned a few hours earlier (and we have not been walking over it) that did not look very clean. The water from the PowerScrub was filthy (see photo). After I cleaned it, it also looked visibly cleaner. Another thing was that the tech said his process uses 80% less water but my carpets still seem pretty damp. Also he said his equipment could not clean my shag area rug effectively; it looked minimally better, so that was a disappointment even though I paid and was charged for it. My Hoover PowerScrub did a much better job on it, and the water was even dirtier than the other areas. At least he did warn me about it first but he could have reduced the price. Overall, the job was "meh" and I would not use these people again. The job was not done well. Also be on the lookout for who you actually get. I called the listed number and got the Tustin franchise. The good reviews listed here are for the Beach Cities. Nothing like a little deceptive advertising. This is the second time in two weeks that I've had this kind of problem on Yelp.
