My experience with Joan M. Hodges has unfortunately been misleading & very costly due to her…read moremistakes and her gross lack of professionalism. I paid her last year, as I have every year since 2009 to do my taxes. I recently received a notice from the IRS, she made a mistake. I went to her office two weeks ago & brought her the letter. She said she would call me in a couple of days. I called her again yesterday, she was very rude over the phone saying she did not have time to look over my paperwork. She also said she had not done a thing regarding this mistake she made. There was no remorse or empathy in her voice or anything she said. She did not say when or even if she would care to help me with a problem she caused. This mistake she made is easy for her to fix and she is leaving me in the dark to figure her mistake out on my own. As a result, thousands of dollars owed to the IRS due to her carelessness. Do not let her Southern "charm" fool you. She is not kind, she is just looking out for herself and she will not fix the problems she causes. Please do not trust her with something as precious as your finances. I wish someone would have warned me. There are plenty of reputable CPA's that back their work up and care enough to fix the mistakes they may make. Caring for her clients is not the work ethic of Joan M. Hodges.
