I needed to rent a snake because I had a backup in my main line. Decided to rent a 100 foot snake to do the job. My plumber met me there and one of the employees produced the contract. $150 for the deposit and $62 for a four hour rental, they also offered $6.18 for insurance. I declined. Backed my car up to the service area and a young fellow loaded it into my car. Even offered a cover to lay it on. Got to my house and snaked the pipe out. But during the job we noticed that the auto switch was broken so I had to use my keys to leverage the switch on. And then halfway through reeling the snake back into the coil the drive belt started slipping. So the plumber had to manually pull the snake back out. So when I returned it we informed the sales associate. He then offered a %15 discount, but my plumber wanted more. So I settled with and the rental ended up being $9 dollars less at $55. Overall wasn't too bad an experience. Good customer service! And they have a wide variety of rental needs on site. read more

I was having a party and needed a few items to set it off. I decided to check this place out. This place looks and feels like a family operated business. The staff there is very friendly. Event though I could have done so, the guy that helped me ended up carrying the stuff to my car. They even told me that I did not have to clean the fountain when I brought it back. They would take care of it. They have just about everything. If you need a U-Haul...they got you. You need propane...they got you. You need a ladder, bobcat, of lawn equipment.....they got you. How about a fountain, a cotton candy machine, raffle machine, chairs or tables. Yep, they got that too. The place's customer service sets it apart from other rental joints. It has a small parking lot and a small customer lobby. They had 3 people working the counter when I was there, so there was not a long wait, if any, to check out. If you are ever in need of renting some equipment, I highly recommend checking this place out. They have competitive prices, nice equipment, and the best staff. read more

Oxon Hill Rentals cannot be beat in terms of pricing, quality, and service. I definitely recommend this family owned business over other rental companies in the area. I was first introduced to them about five years ago when they did all of the tenting and lighting for my sister's wedding (see Kat V's review below). Other fancier, big name companies refused to assist her since her outdoor location was on a slight incline. Oxon Hill Rentals took the project on with gutso, installed it within a day, provided amazing customer service, and did the entire job in less time/money than every other quote we received. That's service! Since then, I have turned to Oxon Hill Rentals for many of my Yelp Elite Events. All of the team members are super friendly and easy to speak to. Billing, pickup and delivery is a breeze. As mentioned earlier, very competitive pricing. I hosted an event a few days ago when they delivered a broken coffee maker which was the entire focal point of my event. I called them up and within an hour, they had personally delivered TWO coffee makers for us to use. While this was a small hiccup in my event planning, I really appreciate the gutso they had to make it work. Now THAT'S customer service! In desperate need of last minute tents for an outdoor wedding (yeah, I know- I'm totally that last minute type of gal) I was referred to Oxon Hill Rentals. Oxon Hill was excellent as they offer VERY competitive pricing, were able to assist me in a frantic hurry and drove to Virginia to set up the tents I ordered. They surprisingly have many different items in stock so they seem to be the go-to place for backyard party essentials. The staff was very attentive and friendly. The location where I wanted my tents is on a hill, and where I had been turned down by other companies, Oxon HIll went out of their way to provide superior service and did what they could to get it done...and get it done they did! I've worked with Oxon Hill Rentals for a number of my events and I've only had one mishap. My order was forgotten and delivery was two hours late. I spoke with the manager and he apologized and removed the delivery charge. Then next time I had an event, I reminded them of the incident and asked them to be sure to have the tabled be delivered on time. The delivery was early and correct! The service and quality products I get are great. I needed to rent some cocktail tables and picked them up in my car. While I was waiting, an employee noticed my tire needed air. Very friendly and helpful. I rented a 24' Uhaul truck from them. The pickup and drop off went smoothly. I also had a general question regarding their rental equipment...specifically a root grinder. Don't rent the generators. Everything else is great. I was looking to get a refund on the generators but they declined my request. I thought that would have been the more than fair thing to do. I rented 2 7000watt Honda generators and those 2 generators together couldn't do what ONE 1800 watt ryobi generator I was able to get last minute did. read more

This is the absolute worst company I have ever dealt with. Worst customer service, worst products that were delivered VERY VERY rusty chairs and dirty and I had pay someone to power wash the chairs for my event. I have rented from many rental companies in the past but have never had such a terrible experience in my life. I clearly emailed them the address to my event and they came late because they had the wrong address in their system. This place is so convenient. I've always passed by this place, but decided to check it out to rent done tables and chairs. The prices are extremely reasonable, the the service is very efficient. I called ahead to reserve my tables and chairs, and decided to pick them up on Saturday. They loaded my car up quickly and I was on my way. The easy access to additional chairs so close to home transformed my event from a small gathering to a smash hit of at least twenty people. I'll definitely be coming back for the Super Bowl to rent more chairs and tables. read more

Poor customer service! Returned a rental truck. The associate I was working with grabbed my keys and a clipboard, hopped in the truck, and pulled it to the back of the lot. 5 minutes later, I find myself standing outside with other customers attempting to return their uhauls and the door to the facility locked. Several folks banged on the door and window, but the 3 people inside behind the desk did not respond. One employee, a young female walking a dog around the property, told me that they were closed. I asked her if it was their policy to charge someone's card without them being present, which made no sense because I was in the process of closing out the rental with the 1st associate who seemed to disappear inside. The young lady let me enter thru the back entrance, and upon entering, the guy helping me (Orion?) asked "can I help you with something?" Shocked, as I was the last customer he had helped just minutes before, I explained to him that I was expecting to close out my reservation. He told me that he was going to process the return of the vehicle on Monday since they were now closed. So you get the full picture....This dude was literally in the process of helping me with my return!!! We walked outside together to check the truck!!! And then disappears and reappears with fucking amnesia!!! I will NEVER be back to this uhaul facility! I work too damn hard to pay for a service through a business that doesn't respect its customers. Not once did any of the associates offer an apology to any of the customers that they locked outside with no notice or explanation! Very Unprofessional!!! I wish you WOULD charge my card without telling me the total or without my authorization! WTF do yall think yall are? read more

My husband and I rented all our party equipment (tables, chairs, tent, moon bounce, even barbeque grill, etc.) from Oxon Hill Rental for our daughter's 1st birthday party and we were very pleased!!
