It's intriguing to walk into different countries and see how the same convenience stores (7-11, Circle K and probably Family Mart being the best examples) carry vastly different products. Mexico City has dozens of locations and they really come in handy for picking up snacks and drinks. This location is in the Juarez/Zone Rosa neighborhood and close to a number of hotels and restaurants. Pretty small, only a couple mini aisles of merchandise, a lot of spicy chips and snacks, a wall of chilled drinks, bottled water, some canned and packaged foods, a cooler for ice cream bars. There is a credit card minimum though I didn't catch how much this was. They definitely don't take card for a $16 peso purchase, which I learned the hard way. That being said the lady at the register was kind enough to wait for me get cash as she was closing up the store. Good to note: the sign outside says "open 24 hours" but as I mentioned this location does close at night, I think around 9pm or 9:30pm.

Walmart is one of the anchor stores In this immense shopping plaza along with Sam's Club, Cinemex, and numerous restaurants like VIP's, Toks, El Porton, La Casa del Toño, Burger King, McD's, Starbucks, and many many more shops and eateries. There is secure validated parking. This Walmart has about everything you'd expect to see at a Super Walmart. I went for some bottled water and snacks. Brands offered feature mostly national brands. I wanted some coffee to prepare and could not find my usual American brand, but they had quite a few Mexican brands of coffee that looked great and even some Juan Valdez from Colombia. The car tires were in the middle of the store. Perhaps they don't have an auto service center. I did not notice. Be prepared to take your own grocery bags or pay for some reusable ones. Plastic bags are prohibited in many stores including this one. The variety is good, the store is clean, spacious, and well laid out. The clerks at the cash register were efficient and friendly. Next time I go I will remember to take some pictures.

My favorite section is their Asian one on the second floor where they have international items from sauces to snacks. What surprises me the most is that there is also an electronics section! This is the one stop and shop for your groceries, pharmacy, and even electronics! How awesome is that! I really look forward to La Comer whenever I need groceries in the neighborhood. They haven't failed me yet!
