Dr. Wells is one of the GREATEST doctors I have ever had!!! He cares deeply for each and every one…read moreof his patients. He offers support endlessly when needed to discuss any questions or issues you have or have had from the gastric bypass! I have seen him for the last 11 years since I had the surgery and he makes sure to supply knowledge and offer counseling through their office if needed. I have had many health issues over the years and have seen many doctors and he is by far the best. He has practiced for over 40 years. The office staff are friendly and nice to interact with.

I would like to take the time to recognize a wonderful person on the Summa Bariatric Care team-Dr…read more Kenneth Wells. I have known Dr. Wells since his residency days at Summa. He rotated periodically through the physicians office that I worked in. I came to not only like him personally, but to also respect his professionally. The physicians that I worked for regarded him so highly that they wanted him to change his specialty from internal medicine to cardiology and then join their practice. I think that speaks volumes about Dr. Wells and his abilities. Dr. Wells did choose to remain with internal medicine and opened his own private practice with Dr. Uhall. I immediately became a patient of his and had both of my parents switch their care over to him because of my faith in him. He took care of both of my parents until their passing, He was a tremendous source of strength to me in helping me with their care. I was deeply saddened when he chose to leave private practice because it is almost impossible to find a physician of his caliber anymore. When I was trying to make a decision on which local bariatric program to choose for my care, I discovered that Dr. Wells had recently accepted the position as the Medical Director of the Summa program. I knew immediately that my search was over. I knew I would receive no finer care in any other program than I would by Dr. Wells. Dr. Wells never let me down on his care in the bariatric program. I will always highly recommend Dr. Wells to everyone. He is a good and decent man and an excellent physician. My only concern for Dr. Wells is, that I noticed over time, that they were making his schedule increasingly busy and difficult for him to be able to spend the kind of time that he wanted to with each patient. Dr. Wells knows that each patient requires individual care and time and he wants to be able to give that to each patient. This is not his fault, but I have no doubt that he continues to do the best possible job he can given what he has to work with. I will always be one of Dr. Wells' biggest fans!

I have went to this practice for 10 years. I will never go back. I started with Dr.Almendras and…read moreshe always had an attitude and seemed to be in a hurry. I switched to a Nurse Practitioner Lyndsey Foradis. Well things seemed OK with her for a number of years but each yearly visit it seemed to get a little worse. My last visit topped them all. You call the place and have to wait months for an appointment. So I called them and left a message to get a blood order for me and I would pick it up so I could have it all done for my appointment. Well I never received a call back. I tried again about a week later and no return call. I tried again and no return call. I decided the heck with it. I tried and that is all I could do. So I go to my appointment for my yearly check up and was treated like it was the first time I was there. Then Lyndsey comes in and acts very strange and also acts like I am a new patient. She brings up the blood work and I tell her what happened and then she tells me that I never left any messages. I pull out my phone and read off the dates and times. She then somehow finds my one message that clearly asked for blood work order. She then tells me she can't give any refills on my asthma meds I've been on till she gets the blood work. So I go and get the blood work and the lab didn't take enough blood and only sent results for Vitamin D level. So the Doctors office calls me and asked what is going on. Like I would know as they took the blood and I left. She states once again that Lyndsey will not write a refill till she gets the blood work. I said I needed a month or two as I don't drive anymore to get it. Nope she would not write it even though the drug does not require any blood work. I have never seen a doctors office run more poorly. Every time I go in they have different staff it is terrible. If you are looking for a Doctor avoid this place

I have been coming to S. A. M. for 30 years. Every shot that's been offered, I take, unless I got it @ a pharmacy already. Dr. Oyakawa is the best there is. He doesn't make mistakes. If there's something wrong with you, he'll find out what it is, or, he refer you to a Specialist who will find out. The Staff is fantastic. When I read a review like the other one posted here, I realize it's not about A. A. M., it's a post about someone who is p i s s e d about a decision their spouse made. Sorry, you weren't seeing a Doctor, your Husband was. Silly and unwarranted post. You can trust Summit Adult medicine.

Let me start off by saying I missed my initial appt due to friend passing away and i forgot all…read moreabout the appt. I called today to reschedule and the office manager tells me I can't reschedule because I had two no shows 1 in 2017 and one this year. I let her know that I never applied for this office, I was Dr. Masselall patient for over 30 years prior to me applying for this office. she said we have rule when you no show two times we refuse to be your provider. Well Never appled to be his patient in 2017. I was happy with my current doctor who was in the same office as Dr. Eckman at the time. You said when you miss 2 appts. I never made an appt in 2017 so I Only missed 1 appt. She said well really it's one appt. Then why did you accept my application if I had one already according to you. she had no answer. I did miss my appointment. I told her I would like to speak with Dr. Eckman. She said he is with patients and can't speak. I said I will come and wait and I am on my way. She calls me back and threatens me with calling the police. I called back after I though about it and said don't worry I am not coming out. I dont want to be associated with office manager that's lies to me and the sad part is the doctor will never know this happened. I always here about office managers having all power to do anything. Today, I witnessed it, she label me a bad client off of one appt, and the appt was with a nurse practitioner at that. So I would not recommend this office for anything. Never spoke to the doctor only the office manager with an attitude. so he is good but service is everything to me.
