The driver lied to me and said he worked for Silver Top cabs. He said he had no meter and could only give me an estimate of the fair from Williamstown to Tullmarine Airport. He told me what I paid at the end was "up to me". The cab stank of body odour. He arrived 40 minutes after the request and I would have missed my plane had I not used his "services". A few calls during the cab ride back to the hotel and then to Platinum cabs (after the hotel told me what company they used) made sure I paid a reasonable fare for the journey. Hardy and team are fantastic. They worked with us as we finalized our plans (during the Christmas…read moreholiday weekend and a pandemic!), confirmed what vehicles they would bring and when, communicated clearly in the lead up, and were out front of our hotel as we exited the building. The vehicles were spotless, and one was actually brand new. They had sanitized between customers and provided us with hand sanitizer and gloves (we had our masks of course). They loaded all our luggage (ten suitcases plus carry-on) carefully and respectfully. They were careful and courteous, excellent drivers and the whole experience for me and my family was perfect. We were a little late getting downstairs to meet him and caused the whole day to run a bit behind but he made sure we didn't miss anything. He took us to see koalas and kangaroos out in the open. He also took us somewhere we could hold and pet and feed birds. We stopped for tea and a snack at a lighthouse and it was such a beautiful day, it really turned out to be the best part of our entire Australian trip. The tour that we booked was the Great Ocean Road Drive and Fly tour. The flying part was phenomenal. I have never been in a plane that small, but we were clearly in good hands. The only thing I could possibly even think of complaining about would be that we ended up doing the aerial portion of the tour with another couple. It wasn't a big deal, but in the states, private has a very specific meaning, so we were a little surprised. All in all, I would totally recommend this group and if we ever return, I'm sure we would give them a call and see if we could book something again.
