I ordered a chicken yakisoba for take out. Their food is made to order so it took about 10 minutes for my food to come out. I noticed there were a lot of people eating here which is a good sign to me. The yakisoba had a good flavor albeit a tad on the salty side. But they do not skimp on the meat and veggies. One of my favorite places to eat in the Ventura area. Their tempura udon is absolutely delicious and they never skimp when I ask for extra shitake. The price is very affordable. They have never given me any reason to question their restaurant and I have taken quite a few people there. The wait staff is friendly and attentive. Depending on the time of day you visit it can be extremely packed or empty so I make sure to avoid lunch hours. I have ordered via pickup but the food is by far better when fresh from the kitchen. Its not a high end restaurant, and could easily get mistaken for a chain like pick up sticks a few doors down, but for the price and the quality of food I give it five stars, easily. read more

Ate here for lunch - lunch specials include a bento box or a mix and match noodle bowl with rice bowl. I had the beef noodle bowl (hot) and my dining partner had the shrimp and noodle dish. All in all very good. Cost less than $25 before tip which included two sodas. The noodle bowl was ok, without adding hot sauce the flavor would have been bland. I took my daughter out for a special night out and she loved it. She ordered the Udon noodles with the California roll. She loved that it also included an ice cream scoop. She ordered the green tea ice cream and it was super yummy. I order the beef bowl and it was truly filling. I also tried their dynamite roll and it had a little kick to it but was still good. I usually don't like spicy but it was just enough spice. Now the service was great. They kept coming over to fill our water cups and asking if we needed anything else. I went to Ozeki Noodle for the first time Monday, December 23 and was not sure if I could find something I could like on the menu because I usually like American food. Boy was I surprised! I asked the waitress what they have that was beef or chicken breast that was not very spicy. She suggested the barbecue beef bowl. This bowl was huge, with lots of meat that was very tender. I really appreciate that recommendation. To top it off, when the waitress came over after we were finished, I thought she was going to bring us our check, but to our surprise, some anonymous lady paid for our check! I asked the waitress if we could thank the lady, but the waitress said that she wanted to be anonymous. I hope that lady reads this review, I am in a wheelchair, and me and my companion want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts! We hope you have the best holiday season ever! Maybe there's some significance in the fact that I chose to eat HERE because I was craving a fresh salad. Ozeki's isn't amazing but it's not bad! Before the owners specified that it's ONLY for children 10 and under (or something to that effect), my go-to menu item was the Kid's Combo with either Teriyaki chicken or bulgogi (Korean BBQ'd beef). It comes with four pieces of California Roll, a scoop of ice cream, and (if memory serves me correctly) a small bowl of hot udon noodles and soup. Recently, I ordered the Bento Box dinner with Teriyaki salmon. For $11.95 (the dinner price) it comes with a substantial side salad with their signature light dressing, two pieces of gyoza (fried dumpling), four pieces of California Roll, miso soup, and a scoop of rice. The salmon deffffinitely hit the spot and the salad was exactly what I wanted. Even with the help of a friend who had ordered the soba, I had to save the leftovers. Most menu items, with the exception of the dinner bento box options, are under $10. The food is yummy and the service is on point, although one of the older waitresses is hearing-impaired and may have a little difficulty getting your order down (she's still super sweet!). The restaurant is well-lit, yet cozy. It's a nice place for some food and conversation, maybe a date;) And yes, you should order dessert :) read more

Amazing flavors, perfectly proportioned rolls. I love the veggie rolls. They are the best ones I've had, with soft and well-cooked rice, which is such a vital component in sushi. And I am not even a rice person however, these chefs are experienced and this is our go-to sushi location. Miso soup is tasty, rich and flavorful. Customer service is always high, they know how to serve you. I am happy to have found this tasty hidden gem. My spouse truly enjoys this restaurant as well. The Nabiyaku Udon did not have the depth of the normal udon soups, and that made it great. Soup was very refine. Husband and son ate the Beef Bowl... they loved it. I suppose when one is hungry, just go for the meats. The beef is marinated beautifully, almost as if they used coriander. ... maybe. ... peppered ever so lightly. Fabulous. Love the food here, it was so good went back the very next day for take out! We had the dinner box (chicken and salmon) . I'm not a fan of sushi but they had cooked sushi options available on their menu (fried roll, dynamite roll, and the California roll) California rolls were my favorite. Francis was our server super sweet and remembered that I loved a ton of siracha from the day before so she gave me plenty of it. I See her walk pass our table back & forth Without looking our direction Totally IGNORING US. I was Fuming!! I Raised my arm up Snapped my fingers to get her attention. My family wanted more tea. I was So angry I did Not want to look at her. I lost my appetite to eat & left Most of my food in its bowl. Of Course, NO TIP FOR HER!!!! She didn't bring my order to me. I was the Last to get my order & it took longer. OZEKI this is My LAST time eating here. There are other Japanese restaurants in Oxnard that hire employees who are glad to be working. I gave this a Generous 1 Star rating because of Alex who was very kind to me before when I ate here alone. If I didn't meet Alex I would give this experience 0 Stars. The bill was $56.03 total for 4 people. NOT WORTH IT!!!! My mother & brother said the chicken was dry, the sauce didn't help & the salad dressing was watery Not much flavor. I found this place over 6 years ago, back when the esplanade was first turned into a strip mall. The first thing I tried was... Yakisoba! They've changed it slightly a few times but I eat it up it all the same, right down to the pickled ginger on the side. I've never tried the sushi here, there's too many options to choose from, and it is a noodle house after all. This is my favorite hole in the wall restaurant in Oxnard! We found this place a year ago when we went to the Seaside Highland Games. It was a chilly evening and noodles sounded great to warm up. Tonight we're here again. I ordered the sansai rice bowl and it was delicious! Japanese mountain vegetables tasted fabulous and my boyfriend ordered the tori udon noodle soup with California rolls as an "add more". Everything tasted really good.
