P&M Paving was in the area doing other jobs and stopped to offer services for our driveway, which was in poor condition and different widths along the length. After comparing similar jobs and pricing, we opted for the one day service and they went to work that evening, prepping for the widening and extension of areas, grading for identified low areas and staging for the following day. The job was delivered as quoted and turned out looking great. We did opt for one addition to the job but it was relatively inexpensive. Joey followed up throughout the job to ensure that expectations were being met and that we were pleased with the progress. I wish I would have read more reviews prior to hiring them. The only good experience with this company was Cameron coming to do the estimate. He answered all my questions and assured me it would be done right. They came to do my driveway and parking pad on August 19th. The project manager Joey tried to tell me I needed a drain and my sub-base was not sturdy. He tried to charge me TWICE AS MUCH as what I was quoted. I explained the drain was included in the estimate and the down spout was to be tied into the drain. I still paid more than the estimate was. They did not tie the down spout into the drain and the drain they installed is way smaller than it should actually be. They also did not seal the curb (which looks like they threw it together and is not cleaned up) or where the asphalt meets the parking pad. When I asked about the down spout when they were done I was told they could not do that. I reached out about the curb and was told someone would come back out. I heard nothing.... I also noticed the one side of the driveway is crooked and the asphalt is not even. They basically covered the cap that would need to access the gas line and dug into the one side and it is very close to the gas meter/line. They also abandoned their machine in front of my neighbor's house and the company they rented it from had to come pick it up several days later. Fast forward to August 23rd... we had sewage back up into our basement and garage (we have lived here 5 years and NEVER had this happen). I immediately sent and email with pictures and got no response. I had to have a plumber come out ON A SUNDAY. He discovered there was something blocking the fresh air pipe not allowing sewage to drain out to the outside line. I was informed the area would need to be excavated to access the pipe. I reached out to P&M immediately. I spoke to Corey who was very disrespectful to me )not only Sunday but also Monday morning). When I mentioned I would reach out to my attorney Corey said "You can do what you want to do. We will have this tied up in court for several years." I connected him to my plumber and his tone completely changed. The project manager or somone told my plumber that they inserted a 3 inch pipe into the 4 inch pipe which in fact was blocking the sewage from coming out of the house. Somone else was sent out Monday to remove the 3 inch pipe. And no surprise the line drained. I have reached out multiple times about getting reimbursed what was paid to the plumber, the hotel room we had to pay for Sunday night, as well as getting it scheduled for someone to come patch what had to be dug back up and have not received a response. At this point I would like to be refunded what I paid for this horrible job. I would not recommend this company for any service! They do not take accountability for the work they do and do not want to make things right when they are called out on their wrongdoing. read more

"I hesitated to send this email but it appears that, after 2 months and at least 4 different promises by one of your employees that the proverbial "check is in the mail", your company has no genuine interest in resolving 2 minor issues/requests with us. Joe agreed to send us a check for $100 for work requested and included in our original estimate, but not completed on 8/20/25. We also requested a copy of our final invoice for our records since it was several thousand dollars more than the original quoted price. Why your company and its employees would negate the glowing reviews we have submitted online over such minor issues escapes me. I do know that if we owed you $100, you most assuredly would not be as patient as we have been over the past 2 months. I am relieved that our difficulties with your company occurred after the completion of our driveway paving project on 8/20/25. Your crew did an outstanding job and we continue to praise them and their fine work. Sadly, it is the failure of your company to honor the promises that Joe made on 8/21/25, 8/22/25, 10/2/25 & 10/17/25 to send us a $100 check and email or mail us a copy of our final bill that has caused us to reconsider our high praise. P&M fast talked me and told me they'd give me a deal, because they were doing my neighbor's driveway. They charged me more than my neighbor. Then the upsold me on some seam sealer for $500 for 19 feet, they said it was better than the seam sealer I had purchased, but it wasn't. The cost should have been $100 max. I complained to the owner Corey, and he said that he would send me $200 back for the sealer because he didn't want a bad reputation. Corey ghosted me after the check went through and never sent me the money, even though I called five times. I was very congenial to Corey. They have no integrity, so don't use them!!! Run away!!! I received a quote from this company in Feb. Never heard anything for 2 months. So I call. Never received a reply. On my second call I received a specific day and time for my driveway sealing. Call that Saturday to double check everything & I was reassured that my job would be done that day and was given a time of noon. So guess what happened- no show & no telephone call from them. Company owner and supervisors promised services and never showed up to complete what they offered

After the driveway sat for a few days waves or ripples appeared in the driveway. There is also a low spot. I had excess gravel in my driveway that had to be removed. My guess is these guys were in a hurry because they could have used my own gravel to fill in the low spot, but that would have required more time to compact that area. As such water sits for days in the middle of the driveway after rainfall. While I didn't overpay for the job, I expected it to be adequate for what I did pay. The owner said told me the job would be great because his reputation was on the line. I'll let you decide if he honored his. I would not recommend this company. I was quoted an estimate of @10,000. The estimate ran over by @5000.00 I knew there could be additions but not at this level. The foreman called me while i was at a family funeral and I was not engaged at the time and he did not offer any other solution. When speaking with the foreman , he threatened me with legal action. The guys were still finishing up the job. He told me that the "judge would laugh at me" That was no way to treat a client. I wanted to meet in person to talk about the situation but it was easier for the owner and foreman to berate me over the phone. Very disappointing. They gave me an estimate for $15000 which I agreed to. On the day the work was done, I was told that additional "base stabilization" was needed because of an area where my driveway had been washing and that they would have to order $5000 more asphalt to fill that in, or else the results would be bad. This washed area was clearly visible when the original estimate was made and should have been included in the initial price. The truth is that they had plenty of asphalt initially, but they sold some of my asphalt to my next-door neighbor to pave his driveway because they told him they brought too much asphalt to my job. Then they put on a hard sell to me, telling me that I needed to buy more asphalt to get a reasonable job done. Effectively they charged two different people for the same asphalt. While the work was pretty good and the workers seemed courteous, I think their business practices are definitely shady. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone, and I don't think much of Angi for recommending them. read more

Run the other way. Like many others (see HomeAdvisor and Angie's List), I've been burned by this company. My check is cashed, but my project isn't finished. Text messages were no longer being returned. Calls were being sent to voicemail mid-ring. Then I discovered my number had been blocked. Only after I sent a message from another number, disclosing my intent to take action against the company, did I get a further response from the owner. He returned my stolen property (more on this later), claimed blocking my number was an accident (said his child did it), and left behind equipment to "finish" the job (which ended up causing even more damage). The owner promised the job would be finished the next day, then the next, then the next, and so on. In five solid weeks of daily calls and texts because the owner kept ghosting me, it was never completed. I had two areas paved: a front driveway and a rear parking pad. The whole project is uneven throughout. No leveling was done. There are places where the asphalt is too thick, and places where it is too thin. Much of my lawn (and the neighbor's, too) is destroyed. The rear pad was put in carelessly, and it is sub-par quality. Roots and yard waste were pulled, piled, and then asphalted right over. Asphalt was spilled into my yard. A stump was paved over and then cut out, and a child could have done a better repair. Excavated pea gravel was dumped into my garden and left behind. After weeks of complaining about it, they brought their BobCat back, and removed about half. I later noticed that they just found a different place on my property to dump the pea gravel instead of just taking it. The sloped front driveway is atrocious and unusable. Rough surface, rough edges, poor quality. There is so little asphalt laid on the six feet where it meets the street, that weeds are breaking through, and the asphalt is crumbling away after just a few weeks. There was no excavation done or stone laid, just less than an inch of asphalt spread over dirt. Conversely, on the upper part, there is a 6" lip all along the edge that is cracked and crumbling because the land was not excavated before the asphalt was poured. Despite reassurances that the driveway would be flush with the yard, 6" of asphalt was laid right on top of the land. I risk personal injury, vehicle damage, and further damage to the asphalt using it. As a very poor stop-gap to this disaster, and to cover up the fact that his foreman did an inexcusable, grossly negligent job that was not even remotely what was promised, I was assured that several tons of stone would be delivered and laid to mitigate the drop off. That didn't happen. The crew showed up unannounced, did a nominal amount of work, and then just left without talking to me or finishing. I received a message from the owner right after, saying they were "all done." I have no more fight left in me. Now it's on me to spend more money and days of my time spreading stone by hand, plus the time it will take to shovel the remaining pea gravel from my garden, and replant grass on half my lawn. And I still have to pay another contractor to redo it when it falls apart. This is on top of the other unbelievable struggles I encountered: a broken sewer cap that was "repaired" by putting a new cap in the ground over top of a broken pipe, a 30% project cost increase mid-job for excavation that never happened, the crew abandoning my project in the middle of the day, without warning, to do a neighbor's driveway (which created unsightly creases where they stopped and started), and most astoundingly, theft of personal property. Yes, his employees will use your tools without asking, and then take that property with them if not closely supervised (by YOU). Took 3+ weeks to get everything returned, and I had to threaten filing a police report. Simply put, P&M will grift you at the first opportunity they get. The owner lacks any professionalism, customer service, or attention to detail. His "word" is worthless. I cannot count the number of broken promises. When you express dissatisfaction, he will turn it around on you. Direct quote: "I'm sorry we did not satisfy your needs But you also gotta remember there was nothing there. Now you have a driveway." He basically hands you a s*** sandwich, and then says you ought to be grateful you got a sandwich at all. The owner and the foreman are never on site together, and they slander one another to avoid blame entirely. This smarmy, disingenuous approach to doing business is unconscionable. Everything is everyone's fault except P&M's, as they laugh all the way to the bank. In summary, be prepared to advocate for yourself beyond what any sane person would consider reasonable. Be vigilant, attentive, and assertive, with undaunted diligence. But after all of that advocating, be prepared to still come up feeling like you were robbed of your money, your belongings, and your dignity. Or just don't hire them. I wish I hadn't. read more

I wanted a 35' by 70' sports court over in my back yard. They came out and quoted me $7000 to get it done. After they showed up (several weeks later with no communication) and started the job, I was told they need an additional $2000 due to the ground condition. This was an absolute scam. They threatened me that they would not warranty the work and that they would do a sub par job unless I agreed to pay more. They then ended up pouring a slab that was 33' at one end and 40' at the other. It was completely off and not what I was looking for. Not to mention the surface is not graded correctly and has high spots in it. The worst part is they ended up burying most of the asphalt debris with a thin layer of top soil over it after they told me they would clean it up. After the first rain, a ton of waste was exposed and caused me 2 full days of cleanup. They even left a mess in my front yard and on the road when they picked up their equipment. Overall a very unprofessional company that I am now going to be filing complaints about to the PA Department of Environmental Protection and the Better Business Bureau. I hired this company to install my driveway, and the price I paid includes a sealer. In the contract, it is stated that the sealing should be finished within one year after the pavement. Since April, I have been trying to contact the owner, but text messages were rarely returned, and calls were sent to voicemail mid-ring. The owner's name is Corey Mitchell, but he often goes by Tony. He has postponed the sealing so many times, and now it has already been 14 months. There was only one time when the owner scheduled a day to come, but he intentionally chose a rainy day according to the weather forecast and then found an excuse not to come. He doesn't keep his word again and again. His purpose is to skip the work he should do. This company should not be trusted. read more

VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. This company did paving in my neighborhood. There was an issue that was not a big deal - until their dump truck driver decided to park directly in front of my driveway. The issue that set this off was not a big deal - they rang my doorbell for a reason that was not necessary, and I was annoyed as I (and much of America) work from home and it's common courtesy to not ring someone's doorbell unless it is necessary as one never knows what is going on in that house i.e. someone sleeping, sick, working, etc. A note to promote their company explaining that they are working in the neighborhood and parking on the public roads would have sufficed. After talking at my door (and I was identifiably annoyed, which I will own), I looked out a few minutes later, and a very large dump truck was parked directly in front of my driveway, making it inaccessible. There was absolutely no need to park directly in front of my driveway on an empty road. After several minutes of his blocking my driveway, I walked out and asked him to move so that my driveway was accessible. His response was rude and aggressive. He initially refused. I asked several times. He kept asking me "are you leaving?" I was called several inappropriate names in a very, very loud tone (he was yelling - literally screaming). After initially refusing to move, and being verbally berated by this man, he finally pulled forward, and honked the horn in one long blow (sounds like a semi horn) for an extended period of time. This driver's demeanor was downright frightening and intimidating - I would hate to see someone elderly or demure have to deal with this display of aggression. I'm fairly bold and confident, but even I locked my doors, called my Husband to come home, and gave instructions to my kids (still homeschooling from COVID) and my elderly Mom (who was helping with my kids while I was working) to not open the door if anyone knocked, and to just call 911 as I had to go back to work and am unavailable when in meetings. A person I am assuming was the foreman did come over to ask about the issue and did apologize directly to me and my Husband when he saw me on the side of my house. My Husband was on the phone with me to check in and tell me he was leaving work, so the foreman walked up at a good moment. It is his apology that saved them from my posting video and audio of the altercation across the local social media pages. I hesitate posting negatively about a company as we all have bad days, and shouldn't be judged across the board by a bad decision or bad moment. However, the driver's behavior was so flagrantly aggressive and rude that I felt that this review was warranted. read more
