We tried this restaurant while on a road trip. The place was clean, the service was good, and overall the food tasted good. My children especially enjoyed their meals, which is always a plus. However, I did have an issue with my order. My meal came with fried rice for an additional $4, and I asked for chicken fried rice. The waitress ended up charging me for a full chicken fried rice entrée instead of a side. There was no clarification that the included fried rice could be white, fried, or brown, or that adding chicken would turn it into a separate, much more expensive item. As a result, my meal ended up costing nearly double just for adding chicken to the fried rice. When I brought it up, the response was simply "sorry," with no real resolution. Clear communication about menu options and pricing would have made a big difference in this experience. read more

For appetizers we had Calamari, and Dinner We had the Miso Glazed Salmon and the Spicy Eggplant. Went in for lunch and not busy on a Monday. Server was friendly and attentive. She brought us a refill on our drinks before we had to ask. The food came out quickly. The egg drop soup was good but not authentic. I haven't seen carrots added before. Egg drop soup usually consists of egg, scallions, and chicken broth. The beef was fresh but they drenched the lo mein (noodles) in sauce so it overpowered it. The lo mein noodles came plain too. I thought it was going to have vegetables with it but it didn't state on the menu, oh well. The atmosphere is nice with high ceilings and murals painted on the walls. There is a bar area as well. My problem is the corporate cooking instructions they have to follow to make below average Chinese food. Dinner for 2! My Wife ordered her favorite the New Spicy Orange Chicken? A spicy take on a classic! Lightly battered, sweet and spicy citrus chili sauce, fresh orange slices I guess their New meant you had to tell them you wanted spicy because although it had the orange chicken flavor and a slice (as in 1 slice) of orange it wasn't spicy at all. I ordered the Chang's Spicy Chicken w/White Rice Signature sweet-spicy chili sauce, green onion I ordered it mild! Here's the kicker I had to ask my wife to taste it because I thought they mixed up the order! Mine was way more spicier than hers and I told her that it had a sweet orange taste to it. I've had Spicy Chili glaze before but this left both of us a bit confused! Modern Day Restaurant setting with Wood & Metal Tables Dark accents and Dimmer lighting but nothing that hinders your view. I get it; it's late at night and you want some Asian food and this place seems to be the only one open, in all of Lancaster, but heed my warnings; don't do it. What happened to PF Changs? Back in the day, they used to be SO good. Weren't they the first restaurant to have those lettuce wraps, to scoop up that perfectly seasoned ground chicken? Pork dumplings with savory chili sauce, as written on the menu. Pork dumplings arrived and waitress, pours the "savory chili sauce" on top. I'm gasping for water; my throat is burning. HELP! Thinking about this experience now, I'm laughing - but back then, this was No laughing matter. I scour the menu to see if it mentions anything about the sauce being poured onto the dumplings. It does not. I asked our waitress about this and she says, that's how we always do it and did she just roll her eyes at me? On the bright side of things, PFC's wonton soup, loved it. A subtle broth that warms the soul (almost made me forget about the eye roll), steamed shrimp, wontons and slivered mushrooms. read more

If you're serving the equivalent of Sysco meals at least make sure you're covering the hospitality part of the business. Our reservation was for 7:00 specifically for a "Birthday" as selected on the reservation website. I confirmed with the host after our meal that by designating this, your waitress/waiter should check to see which of the 3 desserts you like, and they will surprise you with a dessert on the house, and a bottle with sparkler. They did not, as we watched another waitress serve 3 birthday surprises to other guests. VERY disappointing especially because this dinner was specifically part of a Birthday celebration. We understand its complementary, but totally disregarding the occasion was a complete and total disappointment. We were sat a few minutes after arriving for our reservation, noodles left on table, drink order taken pretty quickly, appetizers ordered after drinks arrived, appetizer came and our waitress checked up a few mins after to make sure it was okay. Not bad.. the rest of the night not so good. Waitress checked on us about our satisfaction with our appetizers, then we ordered our entrees. After this our waitress basically checked out. We received our entrees from a different waiter (not a servers assistant) who told us to let our server know if we needed anything. I was already expecting the Birthday celebration to be forgotten leading up to this, clearly they did not care. Girlfriend flagged down waitress and ordered a dessert, I did not say anything because I still expected the Birthday surprise regardless, nothing came except the bill. This was the first time in my life I have ever tipped 5% on a dinner. The food was mediocre, the atmosphere was of a step up from fast food, the hospitality was no good, attentiveness was not there, and the overall experience will lead us to never go again. Our first experience was decent, but this experience today was disappointing to say the least. Birthdays only occur once a year, and the planned surprise was disregarded. This restaurant has a great ambience. It is upscale Chinese/Asian food. There is a bar where you can sit and order drinks. Service was a bit slower than I would like. It took about 20-25 minutes to get the food at 9PM on Saturday. By the time my entree arrived, I was starving. Vegetable spring rolls were a 6/10. I appreciated the crunchy white things on the bottom of the spring roll. The sauce tasted like some variation of honey mustard? Not sure but it was not good. Singapore rice noodles were a 7.5/10. The server recommended it because she said it was one of her favorite dishes. However, I should've just gone with my classic Honey Shrimp. The curry was tangy, I enjoyed the crispy bits on the top, the chicken was not too dry. I would recommend this dish if you are a fan of rice noodles. Of course, it is not authentic to Singapore, but this is PF Chang. We finished our dinner off with a bowl of vanilla ice cream. We stopped in for dinner around 4:30 and had to wait for about 20 minutes, they do take reservations which delayed our seating. Once seated we had a young gentleman as our server, he was great, very friendly, attentive and explained a few dishes we were considering. Our food arrived hot, well presented and extremely flavorful.... No complaints .... In our area we have the local Chinese restaurants which are way below an edible standard, this is why P.F. Chang's is our place to go ... Side note, we did notice the interior needs some attention, lights out, missing a few glass fixtures and some flooring needs repaired. We arrived around 4ish so no problem with seating - place was probably at 50% capacity. Ordered one of my faves - Lettuce Wraps w/ chicken - as an app (honestly I could have those as a main course;) . My Daughter ordered Orange Chicken & I went with Chicken Pad Thai. I'm a little surprised that with the huge courtyard in front of this restaurant, they didn't find a way to have outdoor dining. Inside, they are keeping diners distant, but that means there's waits for tables and the dining room looks empty. The service is okay. We waited for drink refills. Things came out in an oddly staggered way but it worked out and we enjoyed our meal. Get the calamari, it is fantastic. And the Korean Bulgogi Steak. I've never eaten at a P. F Changs before, but I decided to give it a try. I was in Langcaster PA and decided this was the time to sample PF Chang's entrees. Via the Take Out entrance I purchased the Beef with Broccoli with white Rice, the Seasame Chicken with Brown Rice and the Spring Roll with dipping sauce. The Spring Rolls were decent. It tasted pretty good with the dipping sauce. The Beef in the Beef with Broccoli was OK. The white rice, however, was dry. It was not moist, the texture felt like rice from the day before. There was no moisture in it. I'm afraid the Seasame Chicken suffered the same fate. The Sessame Cicken itself was not bad, it was the better tasting of the two entrees. The Brown Rice was also dry, it was not moist. Consideration should be given to the preparation of the rice in the meals. The meats were not bad, but the rice felt like it was old, not cooked the same day the meal was served. This was the first time I patronized a P. F. Chang's. I will not revisit this particular P.F. Chang's, but I get around a bit so I'm sure another opportunity will present it's self to try another iteration of .F. Changs. read more

They were apologetic and made it right - said one free appetizer and one free dessert. But, when the sever arrived he said the manager told him to comp all the appetizers. For entrees we had the eggplant, Korean steak, sea bass, Kung Pao chicken, veggie lo mein, and chicken fried rice. The eggplant dish was a little too sweet and sticky, but still ok. The steak was decent and so was the fish. The kung pao chicken was a big hit. Overall, entrees were good. For dessert we had two lava chocolate cakes and the Fire and Ice. All very good. For all the haters, yes I know this is Americanized Chinese food and is far from authentic, but it works...kids and adults had a wonderful evening. Ok first time at this P.F. Chang's restaurant. I've been to others in other states. So, the first issue was the hot and sour soup came out and was watery. No thickness at all to it. It tasted OK but even the waitress noted that it didn't look right. She took it back, but she didn't come back with a new cup of soup. My wife got the Mongolian beef and I got the crispy honey chicken bowl. The honey chicken bowl was not crispy at all, the Mongolian beef was OK. Overall, not a good experience for a P.F. Chang's in my opinion. Maybe it's just my imagination, but my stomach feels a little upset. It might be because the crispy chicken not only was not crispy, it was more breading than chicken and the chicken was mushy not a normal chicken texture. It was a disappointing experience and too bad because my wife had never been to a P.F. Chang's and now she has a bad taste in her mouth for this restaurant. read more

I will say though, it was a Saturday night and the place was jam packed. Overall it was a great place to eat but we spent about two hours there which is about an hour longer than I expected. The service here has really gone down hill in the year since this location opened. My family and I have been visiting less and less since the last few experiences have left us rather frustrated with the lack of friendly, attentive servers and hostesses. Just this week, we had a hostess who didn't speak to us -- just dropped our menus and silverware at a table and walked away, brushing right passed us without a word. When we left, one of the hostesses said "have a good evening," but the one who had seated us just stared. It was kind of creepy. Our waiter that night was watching the MMA fight on TV while we placed our orders. As a result, the pan fried dumplings we requested came steamed instead. We waited a long time for water and rice refills on a relatively dead night in the restaurant. The timing of our food was off, too, as our appetizers didn't arrive together and our entrees were delivered just a few minutes after the second app. I still enjoy the food, but you can get good food AND exceptional service at a number of places in town -- so why spend my money here? I hope they figure out the service issue soon, because the comments I'm seeing here on Yelp are pretty consistent with my own experiences. When we walked in i immediately noticed that my feet were sticking to the floor, this really grosses me out. There was also a hair rolled up in the silverware napkin. As we experienced a poor experience previously reported, Rebecca and I tried the Lancaster, PA locationon 11/11/2022 only to find the 11/11/2022 was if not a worse experience than the previous visit. the server Cameron who was working the take out center stated it was his second week and was not fully trained yet. i had to go over the order multiple times, then I had to ask for a menu for additional items. Cameron had to search around the take out desk for menus, then he said the restraurant is short staffed, thus why they had not restocked the take out stand with menus. other customers stopped by for their take out orders, one grubhub driver was given the incorrect order, another customer who had ordered an hour and half before me, her order was missing, they had to remake her order another 30 minutes they told her, another customer was waiting for 40 minutes for lomein noodles, another customer who ordered wonton soup returned stating no wontons in her soup. then hearing the kitchen staff exchange foul language between cooks and staff, watching the expediter dump white rice over the order up countrr without taking the time to clean the counter, all the while Cameron keeping on stating the kitchen was slammed, short staffed, etc. no point did a manager stop by to help out the expediter. i think the floor manager on shift had a man bun. nothing from him, again walked by . the take out area had rust on the wall near the two rickety, uncomfortable chairs, the take shelves looked they weren't cleaned in months, as well as the kitchen ceiling tiles that were very dark colored. an hour later becca and I's order was ready, Cameron handed me the two bags, I asked did the expediter double check the order, he said no. the order was incorrect but it wasn't worth waiting another hour to deal with it. the hot and sour soup was 3/4 broth, very little hot and sour typical items. the egg drop soup was more broth, one noodle at the bottom. the lettuce wraps themselves was not like it used to be. the chicken was bland as well as the miso salmon order, which the expedite had to inform the cooks 8 times it was for take out, as well as the other 7 items for Mark was for take out. as the manager of the location had assured us the next experience would be an improvment, it wasn't, i would have believed the kitchen was slammed, except there were only 12 diners inside for post lunch. other PF Changes take pride in the take out experience as well as ensuring the experience is good. this was not!! read more

Purposely waited until the hubbub died down. Folks were waiting for hours during the first opening weeks. I did call earlier in the day to make a reservation just to be safe. It looks much bigger from the outside. The "waiting" area is a logistical nightmare. Diners going, diners coming, nowhere to stand comfortably, the hostess's floating around, just awkward all around. The acoustics are terrible. Between the open kitchen, high ceilings and layout, sound bounces. You're practically yelling across the booth. The tables are very close to one another. Don't come here if you're looking for an intimate setting. All the food was very heavy on the salt. The kids portion was laughable, literally one bite of lo mein. Thankfully the white rice is unlimited. The dumplings were of the same quality that I buy at the store and the tofu had an odd flavor. Overall, I was rather disappointed. I'd take the local Chinese takeout over this place any day. To top it all off, I found a hair. One that clearly did not belong to me. I know it happens, but no one wants to find that. What I will say is that the manager was very apologetic, comped the dish and included a free dessert. The dessert was the best thing we had and that's because it's not made here. read more
