I have been a member of P1FCU for over 10 years. This Credit Union use to follow a model of members first. It had the home town feel, and you could actually go into a branch and get something done. In the last 3 years, they have moved to a large banking model. I find no difference between P1FCU, and large cooperate banks I have banked with in the past. No one in a branch can't actually make a decision about anything, they have to get on their little messenger and ask someone else, who can't make a decision at the time, and you can expect a call later. I've had at lease 5 different auto loans through them, and until the last 3 years didn't have problems. They worked with you if there was an issues, and actually tried to help. This is not the case anymore. P1FCU, built it self on giving people a chance to a part of a credit union, who weren't ideal for other credit unions. Now you are nothing more than apart of their bottom line. You are nothing more than a member number. When you call now, you get a call center from some contract company, where the employees don't even know how to say the name of the company. Extremely disappointed in where this credit union has gone. I will be moving on soon, because I don't see this ever turning around. The only Pro, is the wonder ladies who work in my local branch, are friendly, and kind, they know who I am, and can call me by name when I walk through the door. I wish I could say it was because of their cooperate culture, but it has more to do with being a small town. read more

Horrible..made a payment on 12/19 for my loan, was short $35 didn't realize it. Called me once today, didn't answer because I was in appointment. Took out the funds even though I'm paying them next week. Happy holidays, guess the bank needs that $30 more than me, a broke college student. read more

Bad overdraft policies. Can't get cashier's check through the window (they told me they no longer do that when I tried one time and never got a notice, then waited almost 25min in the lobby for someone who was endlessly complaining to the banker). The lobby is always full with a bunch of old people who want to bicker for 10-20+min about something dumb with their bank. Months later after I was told I couldn't withdraw a money order I saw someone else do it in the drive-through (they said to please use the lobby next time but didn't make them go and wait 20min in the lobby like I did (it's hilarious when it happened to me cause no one else was in drive-through and the girl didn't seem busy at all). In addition my card will suddenly stop working for some reason and I have to go in to the bank to get it fixed (prepare for another 20min wait, and its not that their understaffed it's just their market is abunch of old ladies who need a crazy amount of help doing basic app functions (which sympathetically with them it's terribly designed, can't even save your user name correctly). To add to the icing you know how most credit unions will waive 6ish NSF fees every half year? here it's like 1 (and they are 35 a piece, so if your gone away a weekend and your check doesn't clear in time but a merchant tries to do multiple draws you could be doen over $200 in a weekend), which seems predatory since they are potlatched based which is mostly low income people, so it seems they have alot of practices to milk their client based dry. Out of the 4 credit unions I've been with this is probably the worst. read more

Because of an unintentional error on my part, my checking account was closed by a single teller supervisor at the Warner Ave Branch on 21 March who has had a very negative attitude towards me since October 2024, when I tried to withdraw money from my account. This time I was going to deposit check into my account, the issue is that I'm in a relationship with a woman in the Israeli Defense Forces and had to go into the Gaza Strip on short notice. Unfortunately, she didn't get a chance to deposit funds into my account; yes I allowed her and her only access to my account because she will going to be relocating to Idaho soon and my account will be a joint one. Anyway, due to the global situation she couldn't deposit funds, plus the checks were created on request of the IDF and sent to me. Well the funds didn't make it to my account and the check I wrote on was deemed fraudulent. No way were these bogus and the financial people in Israel were shocked this happened. If Potlatch took a few minutes to listen to me, they would have realized it was an error and allow me to correct it. The people at P1FCU didn't even want to listen to me. The more I think of it, after explaining this, their racism against Jews stands out. my girlfriend, Sgt Major Orin Julie is still in Gaza, and will get here when that is over. As far as that teller supervisor at the Warner branch is concerned, she is NOT an example of quality customer service and has demonstrated any lack of customer service skills or compassion, her issues with me have gone on for six months. read more

loved that they opened drive thru at 8:30 now it's 9?!!?! like okay but the atm claims I reached my max limit of withdraws for the day so I couldn't pull the money for my bill and mind you I haven't used my card yet today so very disappointin. dont like that I have to wait tell 9 now either like I can now just walk into the branch I dont need the drive thru. go back to your 8:30 drive thru it was more nicer for those of us who have to be to work and can't wait tell 9 and can't even access our money. read more

I have been a member since 1988. After getting on line to check interest rates on used auto loan, I went in to refinance my car at the Warner branch. I had a screen shot saved showing an interest rate of 4.14 for excellent credit for 60 months. My credit rating is 826 and the car is a 2022 subaru, which qualified for their best rate. They would not honor their advertised rate and told me it was an error. I talked to a manager and was told they would not do the loan. I'm looking for a new bank. This is the second time they have made an error on a loan of mine and have not made it right. Elaine Casteel read more

During the course of paying the loan on my truck I never once received a payment receipt. Recently I paid off my loan after talking to someone who never once mentioned any delinquency in my account. 2 weeks after paying my loan off, they reported the account delinquent to the credit reporting agencies. When I called, I was told the delinquency was some time ago, but they could not notify me, due to legal reasons. Their website portal where I paid my bill every month never showed me as behind on any payments and nobody ever contacted me. So now they screwed my credit report on a paid loan. I would never do business with them again, nor recommend anyone to do business here. read more

This bank refused my business because I owed them money but wouldn't let me pay it back to make it right

This is the most unprofessional credit union I have ever worked with! I applied for an auto loan and had to follow up with them. They wanted more information and proceeded to be very vague as to what this was. They were asking for documentation that is only required for non-citizens. I was told 3 times that I would receive a call back and never did. I again followed up and was forced to speak with someone other than the loan officer while she instant messaged her back and forth. I once again did not receive a return call as promised to determine what information was being requested. I called the following day to speak with a supervisor, finally got a response and submitted requested information within minutes. I received a follow up call and was told they did not want to process the loan citing inaccurate information and reasons that were not valid such as length of credit history. I am middle aged with probably 30 previous car loans (some for 80k plus) and 4 previous mortgages. Because they were called to the carpet on their incompetence early in the process, they decided NOT to process the loan. After further research on this credit union, that is probably for the best as no one seems to know what the other is doing. read more

I have been a member of P1FCU for a long time. With a basic checking account, it was fine. If you want to pay bills like, say your home mortgage, I do not recommend them. I have a home mortgage through them and they still cannot manage to conduct a basic transfer from a checking account to a loan. This has been going on for three years. It is human error and typically takes 3-5 phone calls and multiple messages. They claim to have it fixed, then it happens again. We've had this happen more times than I can count and I'm seriously considering changing credit unions. I do not recommend them, for flawless banking transactions read more

P1FCU almost cost me my house. I've been a member of this credit union for over 8 years. In that time I have secured and paid in full, 3 vehicle loans and a signature loan and currently have 2 open auto loans and 1 signature loan. I have never defaulted on a loan. Recently we hit a rough patch financially and got behind in our mortgage(through a different lender). Only owing $1,500 on my truck(NADA valued at $16,000) I tried to secure an extra $3,000 to catch up on my mortgage and keep from losing my home. I was decline with the excuse, "We cannot refinance your vehicle at this time." So, to keep from losing the house we had to do some "creative" budgeting and P1FCU loan payments were sacraficed. P1FCU does not take kindly to missed payments. Thier policy is to take away services they provide i.e. debit card usage if you miss a payment. Needless to say this once again jepordized my mortgage, having the money in my account to pay it but P1FCU not giving me access unless I catch up on thier loans, but then I dont have enough to pay my mortgage. Yes, I understand it's my responsability to make my payments on time but life happens. Im sure glad P1FCU understands this and is willing to work with their members. read more

Been a member there since 1982, usually have good service, but Potlatch is getting too big and forgetting about the little people. We did a construction loan last year, and it was a horrible experience. The loan officer treated us like we were idiots. They said one thing before we started the loan, and changed it afterward, set us with the highest interest rate, even though our credit score was over 800, said we had to have flood insurance, even though our house is up on a hill, nowhere close to water. We are in the process of moving to another credit union. read more
