We were approved for a complete roof as well as a complete paint job due to siding damage. This job obviously did not go to Troost since they could not be bothered to provide a simple inspection. He answered all my my concerns and questions throughout the entire project. During the actual replacement of my roof, Joel Baca and his crew were amazingly quick and respectful the entire day. They worked from 8am-7pm. The next day, Joel walked my roof with me and answered my questions and quickly addressed specific areas that needed more attention- no questions asked. Overall, I was very impressed with the quality work completed. I have had the constant feeling that he and his company are always looking out for my best interest.

As a customer you should be aware how HighPoint Builders is willing to treat their vendors and their customers. We certainly cannot recommend that anyone get involved with HighPoint Builders in any way. Some background: HighPoint Builders/ Michal Neppl contracted for and received container services from Front Range Mi-Box. High Point Builders stopped making payments on 8/28/25, for a container delivered to a jobsite in Colorado Springs. However they did continue to use the container. It is important to note that if HighPoint Builders had stored the contents of their customer's home in the container they risked having the container repossessed with the customer's contents inside and potentially sold at a lien sale. We can't emphasize how reckless we believe this was. We can't imagine a contractor potentially risking their customer's possessions in this manner. Additionally HighPoint Builders put their customer at risk of having liens placed on their home to secure payment. We can only recommend that you stay as far away from HighPoint Builders/Michal Neppl as possible.

If you are in the Colorado Springs area, please avoid this contractor. This contractor performed…read moreminimal services (placing ice & water tar paper on the roof structure ) for a new structure roof, but charged more than twice the rate. After half of the estimated job quote of placing a new seamed metal roof on a structure was paid to the contractor, the contractor breached the contract 5 months later without cause and will not provide the money owed. Even after the breach of contract, the contractor sent a invoice indicating an overpayment was made - but has not yet paid this amount. The work performed had to be removed by another contractor due to being weather damaged (ie. 4 months exposed to the elements), which was additional out of pocket cost. We have had to take legal action to receive the funds owed. I would suggest not putting yourself through this level of headache and find a different roofing contractor altogether.
