You have access to your board through the rest of the day, and an umbrella courtesy of Mario Surf School. We learned just how vital our instructors were, as we still are not fully capable of catching a wave on our own. Jose was so patient with us and spent two hours in the water getting us on every wave possible -- exhausting work. Our lessons were initially booked for three consecutive days, but after two consecutive days of surfing, we were fried. The supervisor was flexible and allowed us to rebook our final day for another time, allowing us to recuperate and stretch our tired muscles. I definitely recommend taking some time in between lessons if you are a first-time surfer.

We would have stuck around and done the full 5-day clinic if we had had the time. We were picked up at our airbnb in TS but our driver Chebo at 5am. He is the nicest person ever, and even returned to our house once we realized we had left our 6-year-old's prescription glasses behind in our rush to be ready so early. The van was spacious and comfortable, and after a quick stop to pick up the rest of our group, we were on our way. Frist stop was in La Paz to pick up our guide, Mariel. She is a wealth of knowledge and her love for all things aquatic is infectious. After leaving La Paz, we drove for about another hour before stopping for breakfast (included in the tour price), coffee (THANK GOODNESS), and a bathroom break. After scarfing down our breakfast burritos, we were back on the road to Mag Bay. It was around 4 hours all in, including La Paz traffic. Here we parked outside the preserve and walked to get our lifejackets and find our captain. NOTE: We brought a life jacket for our daughter because we weren't sure if they would have kid-sized life jacket and , reader, they did. They have everything. Save the space in your suitcase! Once we were all suited up we got on our boat with our captain, Kiko. We headed out of the mangroves into the bay and there we met the whales. We were in 3 or 4 locations, each time Kiko maneuvering us to the exact spot where the whales were waiting to greet us. There is nothing in the world like meeting and touching these majestic, gentle giants. This was my second time meeting the whales (first time was in Guerro Negro), but my daughter's first time. Safe to say it is a day that none of us will ever forget. After a few hours out on the water, we stopped for lunch (also included) before stating the drive home, where we were dropped back at our airbnb. The day of the adventure: The van came to our air BNB at 6am (sharp!) to pick us up, and there we went! We boarded our boat at the harbor, then we joined a bunch of other tour boats on the quest of finding whale sharks! After a short boat ride, the guide spotted some and commended us to join him in the water! It was intimidating at first, but soon the excitement over-ruled the fear and we found ourselves swimming among the whale sharks! The water was warm and the visibility was great. We got to see those giants feeding on shrimps and admired them swimming so gracefully up closed! After that, we were taken to a sea-lion rock to swim with fishes, corals and sea lions. It was pretty awesome to see all creatures up close, and I didn't realized they sleep in the water with their fins up! I got too closed to the sea lions and I accidentally swallowed tiny amount of sea water when I was panically swimming away. All I could think of was: "oh damn, I just drank their poo and pee and who knows what else!". Rest assured thoI was perfectly fine after that! After all the actions, we were taken to this beautiful beach that has sugary fine white sand. Our tour guides quickly set up shades and lunch, and we got to enjoy the food, relax at the beach and played some more in the water. Now looking back, I really appreciate the friendly tour guides and their tour planning. Our van/boat/activities were on time and on schedule. There wasn't much of waiting around, but yet we didn't feel pressured. Overall, I'd recommend Baja Adventure to ppl who wants to explore the part of Baja which is harder to access!

Not only did they take us surfing and teach us quickly how to get up and ride- and they did that with so much patience. They showed us the best parts of Mexico- we went to Cerritos to surf. We went to Todos Santos to see the Hotel California and had an AMAZING lunch with the locals - delicious fish tacos. With plenty of shade, comfortable seating, bathrooms, beverages and parking, it really doesn't get better! Their location was about 9 minutes drive from my Airbnb and was super easy to find. Francisco is patient, positive, and encouraging! Prior to going to line up, I was not able to stand up on a surfboard. I was able to stand up on my board several times during our lesson. I would recommend going to line up over the other surf schools the hotels advertise that cost more and are less authentic. Sandra provides photos at an extra cost which are well worth it. My husband and I had a great time!

All around terrible experience…read more We booked 2 days in advance. Went to the (non bilingual) shop paid 75 each for board rentals and transportation to the spot. We showed up today, the children running the "surf school" if that's what you want to call it.. are very very un helpful. After we picked our boards, which were full of pressure dents. My fiancé as well as 4 other people jumped into a small suv. There was absolutely no social distancing aspect. As well as all of the widows being broken and unable to roll down. I mind you the child driving is no older than 15. We finally get to the surf spot, which was covered in trash. We Have to unload gear our selfs. Finally make it out to the water. We both catch a couple waves and decide to come in for a break. Un announced to me this "locals spot" is full of rocks and coral. My fiancé and I both were scratched up trying to come in. After coming in and realizing the tide was going out, exposing rocks everywhere. This was never announced and we were never informed. At that point ( about 30 mins in) we told the child I'd be wanting my money back and he called his papa. In which I spoke too and communicated everything above. The other group that crammed into the suv with us was a son and mother. The son Also Went in and came directly back to shore. I paid 75$ usd each for both of us but the owner tried offering us the full school, for 150$ each.. Come to find out the other son and mother We're only quoted and paid 125$ for the full lessons. 25$ differnece?? Odd. They were Hispanic though I'm just a gringo. ‍ I'm sure the owner will come on here and try to say I am a inefficient surfer. That's not the case. This place is dangerous and the company needs some Management and or parental figures. The only reason they even got one star is solely because they refunded us the money. But the time is lost. I would have gone Literally anywhere else. To spend my day instead of wasting it with "Cabo Surf School Lineup"

Stacey was amazingly comforting and accommodating over the phone Their van felt safe and clean. No time with Casey was wasted. He pointed out cool landmarks, some really cool history about the buildings we passed on the way and gave us a really lesson on the different kinds of sea turtles that existed. Highly recommend Cabo Outfitters! My family had a blast and we will definitely be using their services when we are back in Cabo. Thank you again !!
