The outdoor mall was very clean, family friendly, and the location is right next to the beach so that's a plus. However, it's fairly small so the food and shopping options were limited compared to other shopping centers. The main reason why I'm giving this place a low rating is because their parking machine needs some recalibrating. What I mean by that is, we entered the parking garage at 10:41am and tried to pay for our ticket exactly 4 hours later at 2:41 pm. The machine even said we were there for 4 hours, yet, we were charged for 5 hours? So after 2 hours free from a restaurant validation, we had to pay for 3 hours instead of 2... That is an additional $8. We told the parking attendant, Mookie, but he was rather unhelpful. There's nothing in this mall that I can't get elsewhere, so I'd say pass on this place and find somewhere else to meet with your friends. read more

This time of the year brings a lot of holiday festivities. If you want that holiday season/Christmas joy feeling, you should check Pacific City out. They have a lot of free events going on all of the time, but my most favorites are the ones around Christmas time. Went to their tree lighting event and it was super fun. Holiday decor all around! There were stations with various activities for kids and some for adults as well. It was planned well. They always do such a great job. Got to make some s'mores and try Bailey's horchata alcoholic drink-- tasty and creamy dessert! Santa and a few of his crew made an appearance, performances of cutest kiddos singing holiday songs. Pacific City is a decent open-air mall that's right across from the Huntington Beach State Park/Pacific Ocean. History tidbit: Its name comes from what HB was originally called, until a name change in 1903. PC sorta reminds me of a cross between Anaheim's GardenWalk, and Fashion Island. The open-air design is great, paired with the near-emptiness of GardenWalk. This place was pretty empty on the weekday that I spent a few hours here. The busier end of the mall was where the Philz Coffee, and Equinox was. There is seating throughout the mall - both on the first and second levels. Lots of nooks and crannies where you can bring your food to eat and have an oceanview. The other end of the mall was where the food hall, Lot 579 was. It was pretty empty. There were a few shops, a salon, and a bar - but it was mostly empty. There is a nifty, retro-style unisex restroom here that was pretty neat - well, the sink/handwashing area was unisex, while the restrooms were Men/Women. Other neat stops here is a children's play area, as well as The Reading Reef - a neat little covered spot connected to a lending library featuring an assortment of children's books - that your kids can take a minute to browse through. There's also a flower/rose vending machine here - first time I've seen any of these. I actually watched the vendor reload the machine while I was sipping Philz Coffee nearby. It probably took me a little over an hour to check out the two levels of the mall, stopping at various points to browse/shop/eat. It was hard not to notice how empty the place was. Overall, a clean and well-maintained property, offering gorgeous views of the Pacific Ocean. Value tip: Any of the food places can validate your parking garage ticket for 2 hours - otherwise, expect to pay $8/hr. for parking. Parking is costly, but it's reasonable considering how close you are to the beach. I imagine on busier days, people might opt to park here and walk over, then park at the beach - especially if that lot is full. If you still cannot swallow the parking cost here, park at the Main St. parking structure and walk the few blocks over here. read more

A nice oceanfront shopping mall that isn't too busy, with validated parking available in the nearby lot. We came to the area for dinner and walked around afterward. It was pretty empty, but the ocean views were nice and the lighting around dinner time made it a pleasant walk. read more

Pacific City will always have a special place in our hearts. It's a beautiful mall along PCH overlooking the pier. Sadly, COVID took a toll on this mall. What was once a bustling mall with so much life is now a ghost town during weekdays. Weekends are a little bit better. However, this is still one of our favorite spots to walk our dogs and enjoy the view of the pier. We recently attended Pacific City's 10th birthday celebration event. It was $20 to attend with free parking, live music, and unlimited food samples from the onsite restaurants and eateries. They even had birthday cake and sugar cookies to celebrate! The event was SO much fun. Hoping it'll make a return in 2026! read more

+ The Bungalow. My MeetUp friends been hyping up Bungalow for years. Finally I find the occasion to visit. This cocktail lounge is the most popular thing at Pacific City mall, with the line out the door down to the parking lot if you arrive by around 11pm. - Extortionate parking! $8/hr?! I stayed for 4 hr. Even with validated parking (2 free hr) from Bungalow, I still had to pay $16. - Many attractions and stops here, such as pilates, ice cream, and restaurants, can be found anywhere. Almost nothing at this mall justifies the $8/hr parking. + Still, not a bad ambience to hang out with friends. It's just, there's many other cheaper-parking malls to do that. . Tip: If you must visit Pacific City, better just stick to street parking. Less than $1/hr. holy moly read more

Sandy toes, sun-kissed style and shopping bliss right by the beach! This shopping center located right across the Huntington Beach Pier is one of my favorite stops whenever I'm in Surf City. Home to some great shops and restaurants; there is truly a spot for everything one could need. It is definitely has some of my favorite stores and eateries. For beauty products; there is M.A.C cosmetics, Lush and Sephora. For fun fashion, they've got an Urban Outfitters Francesca's and Free People. For food; they've got Lemonade, LSXO, Simmzy's and The Brant Kitchen and Bar. From bikinis to brunch; this shopping center has it covered! Parking is free for the first three hours on week days and then free for first two hours on weekends with validation. read more

It's times like this that I wish we lived in Huntington Beach! This new shopping area is absolutely gorgeous. I love how there is plenty of easy self parking and validation for a free 2 hours if you visit one of the shops or restaurants. I didn't have a chance to do any dining but there were so many options that all sounded amazing. Some of the restaurants overlook the ocean so I'll definitely have to check those out! The only shop I was able to visit was Morning Lavender for their Tea 4 Tots event (I highly recommend, see my ML review) but it was worth the trip just to walk around and window shop! Hands down, the winning moment for this location was the kids zone! I've never seen anything like it! At best, I've seen other locations with a little play area but it's never anything special. This kids zone takes it to a whole new level with giant building blocks for the kids! You can build a track and then watch the foam ball roll down the track you built! My daughter would have spent all day there lol. I would love to visit this location again soon! read more

This is a higher end spot and it feels like it. A really nice place to spend the day strolling. Everyone was chill and the shop owners were wonderful. Pacific City in Huntington Beach was a total surprise to me. I went with someone and did not realize how trendy and fun the place would be. It is a beachfrontmall with shops art restaurants and even miniature golf. I saw tons of teenagers there shopping eating and taking pictures with the cool art installations. The atmosphere was energetic and stylish with upbeatmusic and colorful decor. Teens would love the creative and fashionable vibe. The service in the shops and restaurants was friendly and welcoming and staff seemed happy to help. The value varies depending on where you go but there are plenty of affordable options. The quality of the space is topnotch because everything is clean modern and visually appealing. The selection is huge with trendy clothes desserts and fun activities. I highly recommend it to teenagers who want a place to shop take photos and feel inspired. read more

They have every type of store you could want including hair and nail salons, a gym and such beautiful Christmas decor. The vibe is just buzzing with holiday cheer and everywhere you're going to get service with a smile along with a lot of sales going on. From Mac to lash to Sephora to H&M to free people, and beyond all of the employees are so friendly and helpful and ready to please you and direct you to exactly what you're looking for. The restaurants are pretty damn good but the mall management seems to keep sabotaging the venue with poorly planned activities and lacking tenant business coordination. Many of their top restaurants have gone out of business. Luckily, the place is beautiful and you can't beat the location, so the whole space survives. This would be a top Orange County destination with a better management team. Case-in-point - Pacific City hosts a Father's Day event with fire trucks, police, raffles, beer garden, and there is no time posted for the event. We show up with kids assuming things will be going on maybe around noon and nothing is happening. Asking around, even the staff, security guards, and valets don't know when the event will start. This mismanagement is a recurring theme at Pacific City. read more

BF's sis recommended this spot for us to check out and we loved it. It was a great place to explore on a date night. They still had holiday decor up when we went. We got a lot of steps in and walked all the way to the pier too. I can't wait to return and see how much more beautiful the beach views are during the day. read more

1 star based on the pacific city Santa. Literally the worst experience and waste of money to pre book. Santa was 25 minutes late and not kind. The staff was also not personable or caring for anyone that was there. At least hire people to seem to enjoy their job and children. Not to mention the horrible blurry pictures that are taken. Do yourself a favor and don't book your children's Santa pictures here unless you want to be annoyed. We were there 12/20/25. Don't waste your time. The shopping center is nice though! read more

It's the ocean front shopping mall in Huntington Beach, merchants validate parking for two or three hours and it depends on weekday or weekend, though the attached lot gets full easily. The view is stunning, but the restaurants and coffee shop could get packed in rush hours. read more

I've explored every inch of this local outdoor mall and I'll share my faves: - Bear Flag: might be the greatest food spot in existence! Order the speciality burrito with salmon. - Peet's Coffee: do I need to say more? Love the mint mojito! - Ola Mexican Food: Fantastic margaritas and even better food! Heads up, this place is a little pricey. - Phans55: great Vietnamese rice bowls and spring rolls. - Bungalow: I have a love/hate relationship with this spot.. but even I can admit that it's a vibe.
