We dropped off 2 good vent trims for the jeep on Feb 5th to get them done in satin black and got quoted for $40~ and was told it would be done in a couple days. Called back a week later to see if they were ready to be picked up & they were apparently misplaced but were found & had just been left on a bench and forgotten. Called back a few days later and were still not done. Maybe the job wasn't big enough or significant enough to be looked at? But there were a lot more pieces that were going to need work that might be taken to a different shop at this point read more

This shop is great!!! These guys are a powder coating company that will do any job you request!!! My friend just got an old mini bike frame that needed sand blasting done, but looking around, most companies were wanting to charge an outrageous amount for a small frame.... We took it down here and they were soo affordable. It was half the price of what other companies in the area were offering. Even though they seemed busy the owners and the staff were friendly and very eager to help out. Brandon the owners son was the one who was helping us out. Awesome service!!! We just asked for a sandblast but when we picked it up they primered the frame for free. WOW!!! Most places would've charged extra but these guys didn't seem to mind. I had an item I needed powder coated. They quoted a price higher than another company I used to use but I needed it done right away so I agreed. They said it would be done right away. But when I picked it up I noticed there were several spots that were missed. They said to leave it and they would take care of it. I paid them, trusting that they would do as promised. A few days later I stopped in to pick it up and was told "I don't have the time to do it". I knew I should not have paid him in advance. Lesson learned. They do not stand behind their work. Sure they got big deals from other big customers which they more worry about than your regular customer. I brought some rims to get fix. They didn't do anything to them for the first week. Or second week. Kevin stated he had to pay his guy extra for stripping the wheels bc the last powder coating was thick. Well the purpose of taking everything to get a quote is to know what they gonna deal with. Well he kindah try to charge me that extra labor which was not my problem. So after that. Wheels took about another week to get powder coating and ready to go. I learned that the powder coating and curing process doesn't take no more than 2 hours. The excuse they gave me is that they won't turn the oven on for only wheels. They need it more crap to go with my wheel. That's why they take so long. So why even get a time frame if it's something that they won't accomplish. They take forever for big pieces like my wheels. But for small pieces of crap they are fast. But that's about it. read more

Several years ago Kevin the owner came to my house to discuss powder coating my grill for my vehicle. While we were speaking we began to talk about my horse trailer. I told Kevin I would like to paint it as well as put a ramp on it for my older horses to make it easier fort them to get in. Kevin told me he could paint my horse trailer and that the paint would last longer than the trailer did itself. I questioned how could that be. He said he would paint the trailer with the same paint that he had painted the water towers with which will stand up to anything and last as he said longer than the trailer. So I again questioned him so your saying I will never have to paint my trailer again he said yes. I was very excited with this news because I didn't relize there was such a durable paint that could be used. We talked out a price and then went on to the next subject which was the ramp. Kevin seemed to think it was not a big deal to build a ramp for the horses. I told him to leave the original door on and he built and he would built the ramp. We agreed on a price and I delivered the trailer later that week. When I went to see what was happening with the trailer weeks later nothing had really been done. finally he started to dismantel the trailer to prep it. We had only spoke about the outside of the trailer being painted but Kevin decided not only to paint the outside but also the inside he took off the front alunimun rock guard and all the moldings. Kevin decided to power coat the moldings as well as the ramp. Again this was Kevins idea the only problem was he threw away the original steel door and the rock shield without my knowledge. I informed Kevin that I didnt have extra money to put diamond plate on where he had removed the rock guard. Again not my idea. Meanwhile Kevin was wanting more money which I paid him because the ramp was going to cost him more than anticipated. Once the trailer had been painted I was concerned in fact I asked him about the orange peel texture on the paint and concerned about peeling since I had this happen to my truck some years ago. Kevin once again assured me that it was just because the paint was so thick that was how the texture was with this type of paint would not have any problems. Once the ramp was started all hell broke loose.Mind you that we were going on 2 months time frame as well. Kevin built the ramp and installed it only to find out that the ramp was to heavy so it Kevin never finished the ramp. He said to me I needed to take it somewhere else to remedy the problem. Not only did I not have the back door anymore which was very important but an non functional ramp but a trailer for my horses that isn non usable as well as a no rock guard and the inside of the trailer dismanteled O and I need to replace all of the hardware that was on the back door because that was tossed . Basically a basket case. Kevin then told me once the ramp was fixed ( by someone else which would cost me more money which I didnt have) he would put the trailer back together for me but I still would needed to buy the rock guard have it fabricated then he would put it back on. Now remember I no longer have a backdoor anymore only a non functional ramp now and a non functional trailer and no money to now finish this mess. Mean wile my trailer tires are rotting over the years and now I have to buy new ones once I try to figure out how to fix this mess. I had called Kevin when the trailer started to peel but never was contacted back which didnt surprise me.So my trailer has sat because I couldnt find anyone who could fix the trailer ramp for more than I had paid already to Kevin. The paint started to peel after 2 years on the top and has slowly worked its way down on one side with the other side showing some problems as well. The powder coated ramp is peeling as well and I still have nothing that is able to be used. I finally had some extra money and took it to a trailer place in Valencia and they told me that the ramp had to be taken off and started over again that would be $3800.00 and still no door either. And the paint well the trailer place doesnt do that. Frustrated I decided to go back to Kevin to see if he would make this right because he told me the paint would last longer than the trailer would. So after leaving Valencia I took the trailer back to Kevin and he basically told me I am SOL . He claims that I must of done something to it since it is mostly on one side and has no idea how this could of happened are you fricken kidding me? The paint started peeling on the top and is working its way down both sides one more than the other. So Kevin is not going to stand behind his work period and I am out my money and the paint is still peeling and I have to find someone else to strip it down and re-paint it. So far I have not found anyone who paints horse trailers and wants to deal with this mess. My trailer isnt worth more than $3800.00 and I still have a non functional trailer. read more

Upsell scamers or incompetent . Agreed to a price, dropped off my engine for sand blasting on saturday, and was told I'd get a call on Monday, didn't happen. Call them on tuesday, they haven't even looked at it. They said they'd call me on thursday, nothing. Call them saturday, they tell me if they decide to do it, it's gonna cost more than double. I lost a week, when I could've had it ready for paint. A friend took his transmission in and got a quote over the phone and a different quote when he brought it in, should've listened to him. read more

Went to Pacific Coast Powder Coating about two and a half weeks ago wanting a very large bird cage stripped and powder coated, was promised the works and was told it'd be done late the following week, which was fine considering the detail I knew that had to go into it. That weekend passed without a word as to the finished product or the progress thereof so I waited until Monday to inquire about it. Kevin couldn't give me a straight answer as to the progress, said it wasn't ready yet but it'd be finished by the end of the week. I stopped by today to see my finished or at least nearly finished product and pay in full the amount agreed to when Brandon told me they were only about halfway done with the stripping... At this point I was done dealing with the false promises, after nearly three weeks in this shop I needed this done as soon as possible and asked him to bring my cage out so I could take my business elsewhere.. After about 10 mins Brandon came out to me asking if I'd be able to pick it up in the morning because it was "buried in the back".. I assured him that I needed it right then and after another 10-15 mins another fellow brought my cage out on a forklift in the exact condition I had brought it to the shop in. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WAS DONE. I asked the fellow if he could point out the "half finished" stripping and he told me they hadn't started it yet.... I had an estimate done at another shop directly thereafter and was told it'd be done by mid next week at less than half the price quoted by Kevin. I am very disappointed in Pacific Coast Powder Coating.. lying to customers is bad business any way you look at it, I trusted them to deliver on their word to which they failed miserably. read more

I had some bar-stool bases sand blasted and powdered coated by Pacific Coast. It was a smaller job, and I checked in with several shops before I found Pacific Coast through a recommendation from someone else. Every other shop told me the job was too small to bother with OR they had prices that made re-newing the bar-stool bases ridiculous in comparison to what new bar-stools would cost. Pacific Coast did a fantastic job at an affordable price. The bar stools look amazing. The powder coating looks original to the them; the job is clean, and their staff is friendly and very helpful. read more

They told me they could do the job and then they called back and said they couldn't. So when i go to pick the part up it wasn't there, I guess that they decided keeping for themselves was fine. Their prices were overpriced, theres no such thing as 2 coats of powdercaoting thats their way of squeezing an extra 150 bucks out of you. I do not recomend this place.
