A few weeks ago, I went to the police department to submit a public records request for some (BWC)…read moreBody Worn Camera footage which is considered a public record under the CA Public Records Act and was given extremely poor service by Officer Mora. .1 By law, you can request public records anonymously and at first she was trying to say that it's not true and was shaking her head back-and-forth. .2 by law, you can request a copy signed and dated of the public record request as a receipt to show that you submitted it and they literally had a giant stamp that they can date it right in front of her on the counter and she refused at first to give me the copy/receipt of my request and made a big issue about it until I requested a supervisor and then finally after 15 to 20 minutes minimum of waiting she finally came out with a copy for my record. go through all the hassle and make their department look bad and shine in a negative light. All she had to do was make me a single copy and stamp it??? If you're going to work for the public and get paid by tax dollars and be the point of contact at the department when a citizen goes in and seek services we expect a little more! Moving forward, they also denied me the public records. I was asking even though it's not part of an investigation. I mean the transparency, what are they hiding or ashamed of that they were saying behind closed doors??? The people are watching and expect you to do better and hold the PD to higher standards!!!

I know there are some negative reviews on here about them but I'm sure they are just trouble makers and who didn't get their way. All in all, I can safely say that this department in particular made me feel safe and welcomed in their beautiful, elegant, and historical city.

I had no idea that this department kept files on all the homes in PG. It was so interesting and exciting to look at the old documents and files dating back almost 70 years ago. The grounds are impeccable, and the exhibits within the lighthouse are a slice of living history. The setting is stunning, right at Asilomar Beach. You'll want to leave time to walk along the water after you explore the lighthouse. Even if you are not into history or the military or lighthouses, you should definitely drop in to visit this space. You will walk away having digested a bit of unique beauty. Check the hours online -- they are very specific and limited, and it's easy to get shut out. Many people don't know that women often worked the lighthouses back in older times. This is just one fact that stayed with me after my visit. A candle on the water helps lost sailors find their way home.

never thought i'd leave a yelp review for a post office but i felt the need to say this is the best…read moreone i've ever had out out of anywhere i've ever lived. everyone i've ever interacted with (mail carriers, in the post office itself, on the phone, etc.) have been a total joy. john our mail carrier is just amazing- so kind, generous, & i always look forward to seeing him. and jennifer at the post office is so incredibly helpful (when i had a mail hold and a package had been scanned but not delivered (FYI i now know that it'll be scanned even with a mail hold on & delivered later), she helped me track it down and got in touch with john who even got it & delivered it that same day after the normal delivery. the team here really does seem to care & always seems to go above and beyond. will really miss them when i move out of pacific grove!

What is wrong with this place???…read more They did not process my change of address for weeks until I went in person so weeks of mail was returned to sender or destroyed. The delivery workers drop mail in the gutter! I have to fish out my mail in the street because it somehow does not all get placed into my standard mailbox. I would expect better service and competency. Very frustrated.
