My central air conditioning is not working. I called Pacific heating and cooling to come to see what is wrong with my 2 years old air conditioner. The technician turn on the air conditioning and went to the back yard. And come back to me said the compressor is toasted. The sound for that compressor is not right bra bra bra. I know the compressor.is working. The compressor run for 30 second and shut down wait for 2 minutes will start again and it shut down after 30 seconds, and it has good pressure inside the compressor. I paid $130 for that useless system diagnosis report. I have another guy come to check. The guy went up to attic, then he find that wet sensor is dead. That is the problem, $60 fixed. After we change it. The air conditioning is good now. I would never call this company again. read more

Very poor communication and service, and extremely overpriced for what they offer. I had scheduled this with the expectation that the $200 would be for servicing the heating unit and doing air duct cleaning, and that was what I had communicated to them at booking. However, I was told that this was booked as a heating only appointment. That is not true. The guy said that I had to schedule a separate appt for air ducts, and it would be over $700, which is severely overpriced. I have had this done before along with heater servicing for half that price. Anyway I let him service the heating unit since he was there, and after he was done, he told me that everything was great. Yet $200 later, he did not even leave a sticker on my machine saying that it was serviced. He said that even though the unit works great, he can't certify it because my unit is over 20 years old. I at least need a sticker verifying that someone serviced it so the date is recorded. Will not be booking again. My air ducts will be done by a company that prices better for their services, and now I have to get my heater serviced again so I can actually get proof that it was done. Waste of money. Update: They communicated efficiently and refunded me for the service, and were able to get the sticker to me. I'm hoping that other people end up with positive results. read more

This is not my first rodeo with PHC. We have had a membership for years and the value is unmatched. I actually had a technician (Justin) come out to quote me for a new AC unit. But the discounts to do the furnace and AC was so incredibly good I did both at the same time. He came out for measurements and offered another discount to do the install the next day! Then Brent and his team came right out the next day. What I like the most is the promptness! When they tell you a time the technicians show up at that time and get straight to work. I appreciate the 3 team members working together to take equipment out, explain what they are doing and test everything for quality. The photos helped to ease my mind and not charging me for attic patching saved us an unnecessary bill. Wyatt was our technician today and I swear to you, I wish I used this company years ago when we first moved into our house. We were having troubles with our heat pump/furnace, had someone come check it out for $250 just to be told they didn't know what's wrong or how to fix it and to call them back in the winter. Well I never ended up doing that and just asked our friend in HVAC to help me out, which he kindly did. Well now we're selling our house and unfortunately ran into a problem with one of our boards, but Wyatt thoroughly did an inspection of everything, asked great questions and never made us feel stupid. I'm just glad we actually had someone working on our system that knew what they were talking about! He had a feeling it could've been one of the mother boards not working prior to finding out it was so I'm glad this company has techs who actually know what they're doing! Wyatt also saved us a ton of money by informing us about this club membership service the company offers which honestly is a killer deal. It's 29.95/month to be in the club and that's because we have AC/heating duo. If we only had one or the other, I believe he said it would've been 15.95/month. Regardless, their club membership definitely is worth it, it's saving us about $300 right now because we're having to replace this OEM board. Can't rave enough about how great Wyatt was and how patient he was with my three crazy small dogs! Disclaimer: we didn't know with the membership that there's a $179 tune up fee that's required, so that threw us for a loop but we are still very satisfied with Wyatt and the service he provided. read more

A month after having a new thermostat installed, my husband and I were still not satisfied with it. The installer came out and actually spent about an hour training us on how to better use the "smart" thermostat, in order to get the desired results. (He also tested everything to make sure it was in good working order.) We did get charged a service fee, but hopefully we will now get better results in our house's temperature. read more

I don't write bad or good reviews; I leave real reviews. My reviews always represent my true experience with companies rather it is a positive or a negative experience. I called up Pacific Heating & Cooling because our furnace blower would not cut off and ran 24-7. The house was a new build when we bought it, and our furnace was no more than 2 or 3 years old. PH&C sent out a technician that did a 30-minute diagnostic and told me I needed a part that would cost (with parts and labor) upwards of $1400. I gave him the ok to go ahead to order the part, however in the meantime my realtor had another technician come to the house and check out the system and he said the PH&C technician was wrong and there was nothing wrong with that part. PH&C contacted me a few days later about installing the part and I told them what I was told by my realtor's technicians. The agent said she would send a more experienced PH&C technician to my house free of charge, so I said OK. The "more experienced" technician came to my house and after a 1 hour plus inspection, he assured me one of the relays were bad and that would 99% fix my issue. I said OK and I gave him the ok to order that part and schedule the service. The "more experienced" technician came in about a week later, installed the new relay, and GUESS WHAT? IT STILL DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. Next, I was told by PH&C that they would send a "supervisor" to my house to check out the system free of charge. So, the "supervisor" arrived at my home, checked out my system and basically stated that my whole system from the ground up was garbage and the builder did everything incorrectly. In short, he sent me a quote for almost $4000. HAHAHA! I decided enough was enough and called up Kliemann Brothers Heating & Air Conditioning. Kliemann sent out a nice young lady (Maria) who diagnosed my system and stated the board for the blower was not working properly and would need to be replaced and the part was under warranty so all I would have to pay is the labor cost. They contacted my furnace company, got the part and Chuck came back and put the part in for me. Guess what? IT WORKED LIKE A DREAM AND FIXED THE PROBLEM INSTANTLY! Thank you, Klieman Brothers! In closing I was warned that PH&C was a rip-off company, but I gave them a chance anyway and, in the end, I should have listened to other customers. After speaking to a so called, PC&H "service manager" who seemed anything but sensitive towards my legit negative experience with his company and all the time I had wasted with his technician's, more experienced technician's, and supervisor's bogus diagnoses of my issue, they decided to refund my $131 initial diagnostic fee. Well, whoopee doo (in my Adam Sandler voice)! $131 is good principle but it can't buy back my wasted time! He asked me if there was anything PH&C could do to earn back my trust and business. I said I would never do business with this company again and will recommend to every and anyone I know to stay away from this slimy company. Yes PH&C, there is one last thing you can do for me; If I do call you, it will be a mistake and please direct my call to Klieman Brothers Heating & Air Conditioning. What a joke of a company PC&H! Throughout this ordeal, I felt completely frustrated by the lack of proper diagnosis and transparency from Pacific Heating & Cooling. The repeated visits and conflicting opinions from their staff only added unnecessary stress and confusion to an issue that, in hindsight, was straightforward for a competent technician. I genuinely appreciate Kliemann Brothers Heating and Air Conditioning for their honesty and efficient service, which saved me significant amount of time and money. Sean Riggs responded same day when I received an error code on my HVAC which had shut down. I was impressed with his knowledge of the system and diagnosis of the problem right away. He explained everything to me in terms I could understand and answered all of my questions! My regular maintenance company was not available because it was after hours. I found out getting maintenance through Pacific Cooling would be more cost efficient for me than my current plan plus they are available after hours! We hired Pacific Heating and Cooling for annual furnace maintenance around September or October, shortly after purchasing our home this summer. The technician couldn't determine the exact age of our furnace but guessed it was over 15 years old. He then pushed us toward replacing the entire system, claiming it wouldn't last much longer. Fast forward to this week, when temperatures dropped to 24°F at night, and our furnace wasn't working properly. We called Pacific Heating and Cooling again. This time, the technician was able to confirm the furnace was actually 11 years old. He spent hours under our house, told us the burners were filthy (suggesting they hadn't been cleaned during the initial maintenance), and quoted us $1,300 for a motherboard replacement--but the part had to be ordered, leaving us without heat. We decided to get a second opinion. The new company diagnosed the issue in a fraction of the time and found that the real problem was a faulty capacitor, which cost only $220 to replace. They fixed it the same day. This experience makes us question Pacific Heating and Cooling's integrity and thoroughness. We regret trusting them in the first place and won't be using their services again read more

I requested for Pacific Heating and Cooling to come to my house to install a smart thermostat as well as perform a tune up on my furnace. The technician who arrived was nice enough, but she couldn't figure out how to install the smart thermostat I had purchased (ecobee) and did not perform a tune up on my furnace. She suggested I purchase a $300 adapter that would communicate between my furnace and the smart thermostat. She said they would be able to install it as soon as I received it. Later, a different technician came out again, and attempted to install the adapter I purchased with my own money at their recommendation. He couldn't figure it out and left without performing a tune up. A few days later I received a call telling me that the $300 adapter I was told to purchase was not compatible with my furnace. They claimed they would compensate me for this price, but then called me a few days later and refused to reimburse me for the price of the device I purchased as their recommendation. Not only did I lose money paying the club price (they never tuned up my furnace) but also the device price. I would give this place 0 stars if I could. I do not recommend you have this place do installations for you, especially if they ask you to purchase the hardware yourself. read more
