As I was patiently waiting for their employee to cut a key that would actually work, the Lady owner showed up and got mad because a line was growing. We had "The Club" lock on our steering wheel locked on the wheel - but had lost our key. The locksmith was working hard as the only locksmith on duty in the area in Pismo Beach - but he kept us posted on his arrival and then got the club cut off in record time and with no mess. We were very impressed. He was polite, professional, clean, communicated with us well and we were very happy with his work. Highly recommend them. I was driving when pink pacific locksmiths truck with a man and woman in it decided to cut me and multiple other cars off at the last second to get off the freeway, forcing people to slam on their brakes. They then proceeded to cuss at me and flip me off. This baffled me as they were driving illegally on the shoulder and had the audacity to think I did something wrong. Would give this place 0 stars if I could. Came out to give me a new key, and they couldn't figure out a way to do it. Gave me a faulty key (without testing to see if it worked) after overcharging me $150, which I had to haggle for back over the phone. The next day, my car would not start, and thinking it was a mechanical issue, I brought it into my local mechanic. After a day of testing to see what was wrong, they informed me that it was not a mechanical issue, but rather that Pacific Locksmiths had made me a faulty key that could not start my car. In addition, ridiculous customer service over the phone, and an overall terrible job. Although I understand you might need to get a key replaced quickly, TRUST ME, it is worth your time and sanity to go somewhere else. read more

A lady picks up and ask what I needed and I said can you guys open car doors because my friend locked her keys in her car. She asked what kind of keys and again I said car keys. She ask me something else but I couldn't hear her and said politely if she could repeat it again. She says in a condescending/annoyed tone which city are you in. I lost my keys at my workplace in Paso Robles and had no spare or master keys whatsoever. I called a local lock Smith in Paso and the Toyota Dealership in San Luis, however they were both quoting me at LEAST $375 for a new key because its a "chipped key" making it pricier to reprogram, not to mention how much I would have to pay to get my car towed to either of those locations. I called pacific locksmiths seeing that the reviews were saying they travel to you instead of paying for the tow. The gentleman who answered was very straight to business and gave me a quote right than and there and told me there would be someone out within a couple hours to bring me a key. The lady who arrived was there within an hour and was very sweet and quick with reprogramming and setting up the keys with a sum of a very reasonable $275. read more

I was trying to have them print me off a receipt or fax the receipt to my insurance. After days of asking they told me they finally did fax the receipt. My insurance called a week later waiting for the receipt. When I called back to have them re-fax it, they were just as rude. I was on vacation and accidentally locked my keys in the trunk of my car. With it being the 4th of July, I was pretty nervous and really just desperate for any solutions. Telling me that it would cost $200, then immediately saying that I need to call a towing service instead. I called a towing company and after working with them over the phone, we came to the conclusion that I would need to actually have a locksmith help me out and they referred me back to this company. When I called back, all I could manage to say was, "Hello, I had a couple questions. I was actually recommended to call you about the keys I locked in my...." and she cut me off saying, "yeah you already talked to me and I already told you to call a towing company!" I told her that I had and they weren't able to do anything because of the tricky situation and wanted me to call back. She said, "Fine, I already told you it's going to be $200." I told her that it's an emergency...I'm not from the area and just needed some help and would pay whatever it took. She snapped back and said, "Ugh..I will have to see who is available and call you back in a few minutes." Then hung up. And NEVER called back. I've never been talked to so disrespectfully by a merchant before. And being in customer service myself, I was and still am in absolute shock. She made me feel stupid every time I opened my mouth and made me feel like calling was such an inconvenience for her. The situation was already unfortunate enough as it was, but she made me feel a million times worse about it. After reading other reviews, it sounds like she may be the owner. If that is the case, I wish her luck at staying in business when there are plenty of other fantastic companies who actually know how to speak to not only customers, but to human beings in general. She did me a favor by not calling back because I would have been really disappointed to go through with a transaction and give her my money. I ended up receiving a call back from another company who was actually CLOSED for the holiday but listened to my voicemail and called me back in 15 minutes. That is the sum of my positive interaction with this establishment. It has been a very long time when I have been met with such rudeness. I locked my keys in the trunk and was surprised by the quote to get it addressed. I called around and inadvertently called this business again. She was incredibly rude and informed me she had already quoted the price to AAA. I apologized and said I was just checking my options. Then the price increased as quoted to AAA and the AAA agent said the dispatch knew who I was. Price increased. Twice. I found that to be vindictive and dishonest. When I expressed my frustration to AAA that they were supporting a rude business owner, she told me that the dispatch had been rude to her. The AAA agent said that the dispatch said that I could call back at 6 AM to have the quote returned to the original price. I did just that and the wait was three HOURS. Ridiculous. So I ended up being stranded- even longer- because this dispatch didn't want to pay her guys to do the job that they are in the business to do. When I called on the phone, I explained to the person who made the appointment that I would be needing a replacement doorknob and lock for my home. They sent a locksmith from a different company who charged me $40 to say that I should go buy a new knob and lock. He had spent less than 2 minutes at my home, lacked the proper equipment to provide the service that I requested when I called, and then had the nerve to suggest that I call him back to install the hardware. If the person who took my call would have suggested that I purchase equipment beforehand, I could have had it ready. She also neglected to say that they charged $40 simply to show up at your door, whether they do anything or not. Be warned -- you will be out some cash whether or not they can actually help you. read more

My boyfriend and I were making a quick trip to Morro Bay for a small vacation when we unfortunately got my keys locked in my car. Feeling stressed and lost to the area, we quickly looked up a locksmith in town. Standing right next to my boyfriend while he was on the phone, I hear him say very politely "Yeah, I'm having a hard time hearing you too, I'll call you back." He calls back seconds later and has a very neutral conversation with secretary on the phone- he asked what information he needed to give her, how much the payment would be, and if there is anyone else in town. After she tells him there is no one else in town, she informs him that the registered owner of the car needs to be there. With my mom being the registered owner of the car and two hours away from us, my boyfriend told the secretary that he would call her back when we got a hold of my mom. When my boyfriend hung up, he told me that the lady was very vague and rude from the moment she answered the phone. I could not tell that she was acting in this way, because because my boyfriend kept his composure the whole entire time and was very polite with her. My mom then calls and very nicely says "Hello, I am so-and-so, my daughter ca--" when the secretary quickly interrupts her and says, "It was a guy." My mom was taken a back, and says "Oh, yes that would be her boyfriend" and yet again, even while my mom was saying that, the secretary interrupts her again saying something along the lines of, "Yeah, he was very rude." My mom was floored and couldn't believe how unprofessional the secretary was being on the phone, so she says in a stern voice, "I am not here to discuss if her boyfriend was being rude, or not, I need to know how to get my daughter's keys out of her car." And at this point, my mom was talking to thin air. The secretary hung up on her. My mom calls back, thinking she got disconnected, and says again "Hello, I am so-and-so" when she hears a man respond with "You don't talk to the boss like that!" and then, thin air again- he hung up on her too. Absolutely unbelievable. Making a long story short, it took a third phone call to finally get them to come out. They were still very rude, but ended up coming to get the keys out of my car anyway (which we very much appreciated) however, I truly do not know what we did to the secretary to make her so mad. With my boyfriend and I stuck in a different town, and my mom not only two hours away, but also at work trying to get everything situated, the last thing we needed to deal with was the added stress of the unkind people on the phone, when we were very kindly inquiring information about how to get the keys out of my car. Pacific is the best locksmith around by far!! We needed new keys cut and programmed for our Jeep, since the car only came with one key upon purchase. Pacific was not only the most affordable, they were also the most personable. They also came out to my house not once, but twice. The first time they cut a key for us as an "insurance plan" that would at least let us into the car incase we locked out keys in, but it wasn't programmed. They did this free of charge while we waited for the four remote-key blanks to arrive in the mail. When the locksmith came the second time, he programmed all of the keys and was fast, efficient, and super personable. You really can't beat their rates. This is an honest small-town business that obviously values their customers. They can definitely teach other locksmiths in this area a thing or two about customer service and making their customers feel taken care of! read more

I had Pacific send a locksmith to my home today and the experience was great. I didn't have any problem with the dispatcher. We didn't have a long talk, but she was pleasant enough and got me scheduled the same afternoon. I called another "highly rated" locksmith and they wanted me to wait until 4:30 the next afternoon. Sooner was definitely better! The locksmith himself was extremely helpful and was able to replace a part for far less than a replacement door knob would have been. He even got to my home EARLY!!! I asked her what was going on there and why expecting her to give me a reason so that I could call a handy man and pay her for her service call instead she told me I don't know you I'm not gonna go out of my way to go to a hardware store for you. I had to call a locksmith to make keys that I lost to my 94 Chevy Suburban the dispatcher on the phone was nice and to the point she told me someone would be there in 60 to 90 minutes which for me was shorter than the time it took me to realize I had lost my keys the locksmith that showed up was really nice it look like he had to do a lot of work because apparently you can't just come up with keys for a Suburban you have to take apart the whole steering wheel so I'm really grateful to these people that they were able to come out and help me especially late at night and they were reasonably priced so awesome job guys thank you so much if I ever lose my keys again I'll definitely be calling read more
