I really enjoyed dipping it with the garlic sauce. The rice was more like a coconut flavored rice rather than yellow rice. The salad was fresh. The hummus was good. However, I did not like the pita bread because it was thin and hollow... FALAFEL: 7/10 The outside was very hard and crunchy and the inside was flaky and dry. This is my first time eating at Pacific Pita. I've passed by this restaurant each time I go to Sam's Club and said one day I'll have to try it out and today's the day. I ordered the shaved chicken and beef shawarma mix plate. Presentation is good very appealing to eat. The beef was good wasn't dry did have good flavor but the chicken was a tad bit in the dry side not a lot of spice flavor more going on the bland side. The sauces did make up for the blandness and flavor but overall it was enjoyable to eat. Counter service was great and being my first time I asked the cashier if they had a mix plate and they did which was fantastic. This is always our go to Mediterranean fast food place as it never disappoints. Food is always fresh and ordering over the phone, is always helpful and friendly and accommodating. The pita so so fresh and soft, the chicken was nice and tender and moist and the sauces were great but I came back to get the same thing today and OMG such a disappointment! The pita was so dried out and falling apart. Couldn't even pick it up without it breaking apart and everything falling out. The pita was just in pieces. And the chicken was so dry and almost crunchy on the edges. We came early in the day shortly after they opened so the only thing I can figure out is that they were using up the leftovers that they had from yesterday before starting with fresh today. The loction of this place, is located in the northwest portion of the shopping center, to the rear of the Shell gas station. The interior is small (maybe can hold 30 people). I came here with my daughter because she kept speaking about this place. I purchased the lamb and chicken kabobs. They both were pretty good. If you have been to other places that sell different meat kobobs, this place tastes the same as those places. I appreciate the fact that it is made fresh, which takes approximately 15 minutes to make. I give this place three stars due to the food tasting like other mediteranian places. A solid 4 stars for Pacific Pita. I'd seen it on Yelp and driven by many times but never went in until one day, the gym crew decided to eat here for lunch. The parking lot is a bit tight but there's enough of it, just be careful getting in and out. It's on a busy corner near Sam's Club off Hot Springs so if you know the craziness at the 4-way stop sign intersection, proceed with caution! The place wasn't too busy as it was only about an hour since they opened for the day. I ordered the Beef Shawarma (Shaved) Salad with Tzatziki Sauce to dress it up. The cashier was nice and said it would be a few minutes. No problem at all, went to find a table and about another 5 minutes later it was ready. I ate about a quarter of it and it was tasting really good. The zip on that Tzatziki Sauce brought the beef to life. But then... I saw a fuzzy ball of something on the salad. It was a definite turn off, and I kind of lost my appetite tbh. I brought it up to the cashier to let her know. She was apologetic and had the kitchen crew make me a brand new one. After a few minutes, my replacement salad was ready. I inspected it carefully before packing it up. Took it home for my dinner that night. It was fine and thankfully I did not see another fuzzball, lol. I was disappointed that they didn't have gyro meat (lamb) to begin with, but the beef substituted nicely. I appreciate how my situation was handled, and that no one had to get nasty about it. I have seen and read about them happening, and I'm glad I dodged that bullet! Our family of 4 came in for dinner and placed our order at 5:01pm. There was only 1 person in the entire restaurant so wasn't too busy. We placed our order and 2 other parties came after us. They got their food first and we finally got our order at 5:33pm. Took way too long for a fast casual restaurant imo. After waiting longer than expected, we were expecting our food to be delicious and fresh. It was not. Everything was dry including the pita wrap, and chicken and beef shawarma. I'll start off by saying, that the food is amazing here. It's so good every time! My complaint is that they don't accommodate to people with allergies. I would love to share this place with my mom, but she's allergic to shrimp and they cook everything together- chicken, shrimp, veggies.... That's a major issue! People have allergies and dietary restrictions and it's very common, so for them to not even offer to cook it separately is poor service! Unfortunately my mom has never been able to eat here due to this. I know other people with allergies and they aren't able to eat here either. Recently I've noticed a decline in the amount and quality of food, despite the rise in prices. I called in my order ahead of time and when I arrived, I paid for my food and was told that it would be right out. I sat down and waited to be called back up or notified that my food was ready. I didn't realize I had been waiting for over 20 mins and I asked one of the girls in the front for an update. She checked and grabbed my order that had been placed on the counter about 15 mins prior. No one told me my order was ready and the girl who took my payment initially just stared at me blankly. Never smiles, never responds to questions. The chicken Shwarma is super dry, they are out of chata (the hot sauce) and it's literally inedible. If you have never been to the kebab shop before, it's the subway version of in n out. They don't charge for sauces at the kebab shop and the falafel is not dry. Thanks in part to seeing this place on Yelp, I've been wanting to try it. We finally did last night. Since moving to Temecula, we have been looking for a Mediterranean restaurant similar to one we love in LA. The place in LA has these great pita wraps with garlic sauce. They also have these really good spicy potatoes and spicy sauce. Well, Pacific Pita comes through with everything but the spicy potatoes and the green spicy sauce as they don't have either of those things. However, my daughter and I both got the pita wraps, and we both loved them! They come with garlic sauce, and we were able to get a couple of extra sauces. So good! I also got a side of hummus and pita. The hummus is super tasty, with a bit of a kick to it! Next time, my hubby will try it too - I'm sure he will love it! read more
