From the incredible ICU team who cared for him -- just to name a few, Leah, Vivienne, Ish, and Maria -- thank you for treating him like family. They lovingly call him "Papa" and have taken such amazing care of him during this difficult time. From the bottom of my heart , thank you for all that you do. Nurses truly are extraordinary, and your compassion, dedication, and kindness do not go unnoticed. From Patient Superman with love!

My mother was scheduled to have surgery here, which is already a stressful and vulnerable time for any family. Unfortunately, our entire experience was made completely negative due ONLY to this one individual. She was wildly unprofessional, immature, and loud. Throughout our interaction, she laughing, smirking, and acting with a condescending patronizing attitude while treating my family with utter disrespect. To make matters worse, she showed zero self-awareness and only offered a defensive apology after I directly confronted her about her behavior. The treatment we received from her was so distressing that we ultimately decided to cancel my mom's surgery at this facility. It is incredibly frustrating because the rest of the employees and the doctor were absolutely wonderful, respectful, and professional. It is a shame that one immature staff member's atrocious attitude completely reflects poorly on the rest of a good team. If you are coming here for care, hopefully you do not get assigned to her. Management seriously needs to address her behavior and customer service training.

The woman checking in patients at the front needs HR to step in and provide customer service training. She is unresponsive, cold, and arrogant. She couldn't be more bothered with patients and patient questions. I typically give every excuse for people - it's just a bad day, trouble at home, lack of sleep, etc...however, I've experienced this EVERY SINGLE TIME with her and it was apparent that this is simply her everyday way of living. Unfortunate. This morning I called and inquired about a specific service I had received in the past. I was asked to come in. The doctors have always been kind here, and they were kind today. It's unfortunate that they have to work with some incompetent and insufferable staff ( see above! ). I waited for about an hour to be told that they cannot provide the services that they have provided to me multiple times in the past. They explained why, and it was no problem. Then they went ahead and asked me to pay a consultation fee. I was taken aback that they would even ask me considering they should have caught it when I called that morning asking for this specific service. This is what happens when you hire incompetent and careless staff that lack the fundamentals of professional communication and service.

I have always been happy with the care provided by our physician Dr. Naqvi and like that they use MyChart. Dr. Naqvi is very attentive and always is there for us. The problem I have is with the office staff and how the office is run. Unfortunately, this can make or break a practice. When you are dealing with kids and more specifically babies you would think there would be compassion. I have seen other mothers been turned away from their appointments due to being late past the 15 minute grace period and I experienced it yesterday. The first time I saw it happen a mom of 4 was turned away because she forgot her son's medication and had to make an extra stop. She had driven from south county for the appointment. I felt so bad for her but wanted to mind my own business. The office staff is very cold and should not be working at a pediatrician office. I will say a majority of the nurses here are really sweet and caring. Yesterday I drove from our new home 45 minutes for my appointment. I wanted to keep coming to this office because I have been happy with their care. We arrived right at the 15 minute grace period and were turned away in a very rude manner. My daughter was scheduled for her 4 month well visit and vaccinations. I feel they put her at risk by turning her away and was very upset. I understand having policies and procedures but there needs role a level of care/understanding when dealing with children. Whoever runs this office needs to reconsider their approach. They wanted to rebook me for the next day and I told them I will be switching my daughter to a new provider. I refuse to be treated this way when motherhood is already hard enough. I want the best for my babies and this environment is very sterile. I have been a big Hoag advocate but I see why others are not happy with their care.
