My wife and I were staying near Pacifico, so it was easy to get there, so we thought we would try it. We were very disappointed. We were seated relatively quickly, and it was mildly busy on Saturday night. Our server was not very attentive. It took a while ( ten minutes) for him to come to our table once we were seated. We ordered drinks & chips with four different dips. All were not very good, and the chips were poor as well. The server told us he would give us five minutes to decide what we wanted to order and would come back. He vanished! 20 minutes later, we were looking for anyone to help with the bill. The menu was odd for a Mexican. Only two enchiladas dishes, one burrito dish & fajitas ( Shrimp, Chicken, beef & veg) were on the menu. No Mexican dishes or rice & beans. You other selection was four different hamburgs ( plain, with cheese, upgraded meat and Veg) with fries. Very limited options and odd offerings for Mexican. We had a reservation (made online) for 6:00 pm. We arrived at 6:00 and were promptly seated and the waitress took our drink order. While waiting for our drinks the waitress came back for our food order. We ordered the Ribs and Chicken Fajitas. Less than five minutes later, our food was brought out but still no drinks. We asked that they return the food to the kitchen as we had not received our drinks yet. I don't know about you but when I go out to eat if I order a cocktail, I would like to enjoy it before my food arrives or at least been served it before my food arrives. Once the cocktails were served, the food came out immediately. And it was cold. No sizzling fajitas here. Cold sticky ribs are not very appetizing either. The staff knew we were displeased and sent a manager to our table. I explained the situation and expressed my disappointment. The manager said "we are known for fast service". I was surprised because before the online reservation was accepted you had to click a box stating you would vacate the table in two hours. If a restaurant is "known for fast service" why even have that statement of a two-hour limit in order to make the reservation? The manager also told me that his staff told him we did have drinks. Simply not true! He offered to comp our food and I said I was not looking for a free meal, but I did want him to know how disappointed I was. He said he would comp the drinks, which I accepted. He wanted to bring my fajitas back but at that point I was so angry I wasn't even interested in eating. He continued to come back to the table, and I finally let him bring me a new fajita meal. But he didn't bring fresh warm tortillas so what had been sitting there was a pile a tortillas, cold and stuck together. The new fajita meal was not sizzling in the least, so I think he just warmed up what was originally served. The table next to us also had fajitas and they were sizzling, and you could see the smoke coming off of them. The meal was terrible. To top it off, no drinks were comped. There was not one good thing about this experience from the food, service, and management response to a valid complaint. This was on 5/10/25 at 6:00 pm. The restaurant was maybe 1/3 full. read more

We are staying nearby and decided to pop in. The decor and the music had a cheerful vibe- but it wasn't overwhelming. The staff was courteous and speedy! We waited 20 minutes for the server to come and bring menus. The table was not prepared and it took another 10 minutes to bring drinks. When the guy finally returned to take our orders, he was interrupted by a phone call. We waited another 20 minutes or more for our food. The nachos appetizer was dry and stale. The food we received was average but EXTREMELY expensive. The waiters couldn't follow a simple request for more napkins or a side order of jalapeños. I go here every time I'm in Lucerne for business - mainly because I love Mexican food and this is one of the few places open in Switzerland after 5pm (okay, a bit harsh yes.....sorry). If you don't want to wait awkwardly by the doorway between the dining room and the bar- make reservations! A Mexican place in Switzerland...but the portions were quite large and was pleasantly surprised that when you ask for hot sauce- you get authentic Mexican habanero hot sauce in green and orange! The chicken enchiladas had smaller pieces of chicken rather than the traditional shredded chicken and came in a cast iron skillet, served with a side salad and a corn on the cob. Waaaay overpriced for the quality, even in Switzerland. Had the ribs, they were barely warm and I kept hitting cool spots. The sauce is extremely sweet and not in a natural maple syrup or brown sugar way...definitely cheap store bought sauce. We shared nachos...portion sized was okay for a small but still way overpriced. Cheese is awful...super melty white cheese. You may like it unless you are looking for cheddar. None of the dips for the nachos are made in house. Canned guac, I think they accidentally? gave us mayonnaise instead of sour cream and the salsa? was basically tomato paste with big chunks of strange peppers possibly...not easy to dip anything at all. Service was polite but not very attentive. We each received only one tiny wet wipe pack with our ribs! Who only uses one wet wipe pack after ribs?!! Oh and the music is super loud. Definitely more of a bar with bar food than a restaurant. Will try The Mexican here in Luzern next time. Unfortunately didnt see the reviews there compared to here until after we finished. read more

About what you would expect for mexican in Switzerland. Awkward waiting for a table (always a little weird in Switzerland). Picante salsa was a little weak. Not very flavorful but still did the trick. Margaritas were really good but like all cocktails in Switzerland, overpriced. Food was pretty good. This not about service but more of awareness post. our family went to eat Mexican food last week and ended up with a horrible experience. Both my kids have nut allergies and we never had to check at a Mexican restaurant to see if anything has nuts besides desserts. Both kids ordered chicken burrito, it came with side of guacamole and beans and salad. As soon as my son tried Guacamole he immediately had reaction and told our daughter to not eat it. He took Benadryl but that did not quite work and an hour later had a severe reaction and had to give him epipen. I want to add that I had asked the server immediately after my son showed signs of reaction and she said there were no nuts in anything and was not sure about Guacamole. This post is to make restaurant and other people aware who have nut allergies so they don't end up with an unpleasant experience like we did. read more

We ate at another restaurant so I cant comment on the food but my husband and I were on vacation, feeling frisky and looking for somewhere to have a few drinks where we wouldn't feel like the old man and woman of the hills. The huge pink chandeliers at Pacifico looked so pretty from the street and the crowd was predominantly late twenty and thirty-somethings with a generous smattering of people in their forties so we decided to pop in. There were quite a few people there but we got a table in the bar area right away. After about an hour the crowd picked up even more and people were increasingly merry. Despite the language barrier we made friends, received our share of high fives and were soon on our feet dancing by our table. There isn't a dance floor and not everyone was dancing as it is a restaurant not a club but that made it all the more fun. The action in the bar area didn't seem to disturb the folks in the restaurant so everyone was happy. It was a nice lively vibe, which was exactly what we were looking for. read more

I don't often feel the need to review a place, and I should say that this is not about the service. The service was excellent. The food, though, was overpriced and the worst of a three week trip all around Europe. To the chef, stop using cheddar cheese today. Use jack, pepper jack, cotija, and queso fresco. Also, use fresh avocados in your guacamole along with tomatoes, onions, Fresh cilantro, lime, and salt--other spices like cumin, white pepper, and a touch of cayenne are a good idea but not necessary. I've been eating and cooking Mexican food all my life. I've worked at several Mexican restaurants. Your guacamole came from a bag, or, worse, you're trying to make it fresh and failing. Make your own tortillas. It's not that hard, and for your prices, it should be expected. When you make your sauces, blacken the chiles, tomatoes, and onions. This will add some much-needed flavor. If you serve roasted corn please put some Mexican flavors on it. I suggest the adobo sauce from a can of chipotle peppers and some cotija cheese. Do these things, research these flavors, and your food will start to taste like Mexican food. Also, you can't charge 6chf for a bottle of water. That's uncivilized. Bottom line: the restaurant charges like it has a Michelin star, the food tastes like a Michelin tire, and there's no view of the water in a city on a lake. read more
