NO! This office appears to be intimate and more customer focused which is the opposite! The doctor created a prescription that was way lower then what other doctors have gave me in the past and that is the worst thing to happen. It took TWO MONTHS to receive my order considering I had to go back down to the office and they had to call to even see where my order is(most take 5 weeks max). This raises a lot of red flags in the ordering and payment department. Feels very unprofessional with lack of communication. This H street location is terrible. I wanted to get glasses and not contacts, however I was still charged for contacts by the guy charging me. They won't do anything to cancel the order after I called and spoke with them. The guy confirmed with me the price would be 194 but continued on the charge me 494. I called to correct the mistake, but was denied and told it's my problem because I signed a paper. Terrible business practice. Don't go here. read more

The gals that works the front desk (Leticia) seems to be inconvenienced with new patients. The other one couldn't help the other patient that walked in locate his appointment. I also find it odd that I filled out new patient info online then had to fill it out again while in the office. She asked for my medical insurance card more than once and even made a copy. All of this without my appointment coming to fruition. Even though I am covered with a yearly exam, I got turned away. Clean office though! So I'm going back to them even do I have to pay cash for my contacts I am going back and Bianes vision. They are great their courteous very professional and are treated with respect. I am truly frustrated as I've given this business 3 months to make things "right" ... my glasses took 2 months instead of 2 weeks to arrive. They told me to come pick up my glasses and instead of the beautiful frames I picked out they had a loner pair of glasses. I was already frustrated from the wait and now I wasted time to pick up glasses that were not the quality I paid for. They could have told me this over the phone. I cancelled my order, then I got a call persuading me to keep the order and they would give me discounts. I agreed. I picked up my glasses a week later and was told I would receive a check in a week for my discounts. 2 weeks later... no check, I called and was told someone would call me back. It's been over a week and there's been no call, no check. A week later I'm still trying to get a hold of someone. I feel like I've been scammed and I wish I never came here. I've been coming here for years and when I tried to make an appt recently they said she has no availability and tried to get me to make an appt with the current optometrist there. I told them that I didn't want to see their current optometrist. Fast forward, I find out she no longer works at this office. I find that the staff was not upfront and I had to 'pry' it out of them instead of just letting me know she is at the Eastlake Office. The name should come off the window of the office because it is really misleading. I haven't posted in ages and I have been going to Pack and Bianes for my eye care needs for years, but time to part ways with the Terra Nova location. I had an eye exam the latter part of December and the doctor was great. The optician billed me for a retinal exam $40 which I declined at the start of my visit since I get that through my health provider. No communication between staff. Good thing I caught that error. Make sure to break down the invoice because they added stuff I didn't want and that's been going on the last 2 years of visits. Tactics are sketch. read more

I called to see if I can come in and they had me fill out forms and verified insurance and coverage. Got me in and out very thorough and I didn't feel rushed or pressured. I called Tuesday and they said the receptionist stepped out for lunch and they would call me back. Never got a call back. I called Wednesday and left a message with no call back. In November 2021, my son was seen by Dr. Judy Perez. She recommended that my son have a test done called the Optomap. At first I was hesitant because he just needed glasses and I felt like this was something extra he didn't need. But I ended up saying yes. The test revealed my son had a slight lump in his eye, and Dr. Perez referred me to a specialist. We later found out my son had an retinal detachment. And he was very close to losing his complete vision. He recently had surgery to reattach his retinal. Though he has lost some of his vision in this eye, he is still able to see. I am forever grateful for Dr. Perez for her persistence on how important this test is. I personally got to thank her today, and let her know she saved my son from fully losing his sight. read more

She made sure everything was Covid safe and that I felt comfortable filling out forms. Then I was taken in to visit with Doctor Perez who meticulously explained my eye parts like a college professor (It was fascinating) and she ran some eye exams. In my reviews I usually give no-star (1-star) or full 5-stars, but I couldn't do in this case. The eye doctor was very good, the personnel were kind too, so I had to consider those. When I got my prescription glasses, I noticed that the lenses (that I had ordered the darkest grade C) were exactly like my existing eyewear with grade A lenses, so it can't be used at beaches; still I don't have much problem here as I can use a pair of sunglasses at the seaside. What really bothered me was, that for over a $400 eyewear, I did not get a case! How embarrassing! If you buy a pair of $10 glasses from zennioptical or any eye doctor office in this world you get a case. I had never been in such a cheap optical office before and I will certainly never go back there. After about 6 months I reduced the stars to 1 only; now I realize those people do not deserve even one star. Just bunch of thieves!! The reason for my update: Few days ago for some eye problem, I visited an eye doctor at some other office. He wanted to see my prescription glasses. I showed him the glasses that I had paid over $400 (I had ordered the highest quality polarized lenses). The doctor checked the glasses and asked where I got it; I asked why he was interested. He said that my prescription polarized glasses had the lowest quality polarized lenses and he had never seen such bad polarized lenses; they were actually fully defective lenses. Then he showed me so many light blotches while he was testing the lenses. This is just a warning to all who order glasses at this place. Order your glasses from anywhere else but not from this place. read more

Wasn't wowed from entering from customer service and etc buttt I will say the lady eye doctor was superb and the best type of doctor ever for my son who usually ALWAYS hates doctors. The service I received was fast and friendly...the optician took my glasses to be adjusted as soon as I signed in. What a TOTAL shiz show. Do NOT go here. Yikes. Super rude and totally scammy. Had an appointment for 8:30, got there at 8:15, doors were locked, unlocked and opened finally at 8:32 when their staff decided to show up and then got told to sign at the desk on a crappy clipboard that had completely filled papers - which then I had to tell her she needed new sheets out since there was no empty line to fill in my info on. Then got yelled at by the manager that I didn't have an appt. which I had scheduled over a week ago. Accusing me, the customer, that I don't have my shiz together when it's clearly them??? As if I showed up at 8:15am in the morning the day after LASIK just cause I felt like it??? Horrible service. They know nothing about eye health or eye care. Gossipy and laughy staff that is super immature and aggressive. The old staff was way better. Not sure why they cleaned house. It SUCKS. The staff is very rude and seem bothered to do their job. They have no patience with children and seem annoyed. I waited almost 2 months for contact lenses prescription for my son..I called a month in and they were behind so I called again a month later asking why is it taking 2 months. They informed me they called the wrong number... ridiculous. When I ordered the lens they told me it would be 100 for the exam and 40 for the training... but when I asked for a refund for the training that we never did because I no longer wanted to go through them(I don't want to wait 2 months everytime he needs more contacts), they changed it and said 140 was for the exam. Then when I said okay just give me the prescription she said she couldn't because it was never finalized. The manager Leticia would not help me even though it was their mistake. I asked for her supervisors info and she said she couldn't give it to me. Now I'm waiting to see if her boss "Herbert" will ever call me back. read more

Very nice selection of beautiful frames! The prices seem to be average for what they are valued for. It's a small shop, but they do carry a variety as well as Tiffany's! The staff is friendly and really do try to help give an opinion if you ask for it. They never pressured to make me buy frames or lenses at this site or the one at Eastlake. They are honest and up to date with lenses technology, which you do not see at some other corporate stores employees. Their knowledge makes me feel comfortable and able to trust this store for future purchases. Parking has never been a pain, there is plenty all around. People seem to come and go at this little Plaza, which makes it super convenient. There were a few miscommunication errors, but I understand it is the Holiday season and keeping track of all clients can be tough. I did not have reason to deduct stars. read more

My new favorite optometrist! Dr. Perez is awesome! She is thorough, friendly and professional. As we were going through the exams, she explained what the procedure was for. She also wiped down the equipment before using it and washed her hands before continuing with an exam that required her to pull up my eye lid. Front desk assistants were also very friendly and helpful. When going over my insurance coverage the gentleman was very patient and answered all my questions. Great prices as well. I had my heart set on some frames I saw at a different location which I chose not to go to since the optometrist had bad reviews. Luckily, I found the same frames here $35 cheaper! :) FYI: Location is a bit hidden. It's in between Subway and Cold Stone. I will definitely be going back! read more

She has so much energy, informative, I felt like I was treated like a valuable client, friendly, and so passionate about her job. Best optimotrist I've ever been to! I went here today after my husband informed me he couldn't watch our 5 month old daughter due to work piling up. She's cholicy and cries all the time so I was dreading the experience. I was pleasantly surprised that it all went very well! The staff was so nice, they let me hold her through the whole thing and tried to entertain her. I was in an out within an hour. They even gave her a cute bib!
