It's definitely upscale corporate, but the food is amazing I got three tacos that all were excellent a Barbacoa, and El Pastor and a chicken all three were at A+. The black beans were perfectly done. And a surprise win of the evening they have Shinner Bock beer on tap, which I've never seen in North Carolina only in bottles and even then it's hard to find and it was ice cold and delicious almost worth the tripping of itself throwing the tacos yes, 100% going back It was a Tuesday night, so it was noisy busy taco Tuesday ambiance and the service was very good. read more

First let's talk about service. We came for lunch on a Friday and our waitress was super attentive. She gave menu suggestions, drinks reviews and checked on us almost too much. The food on the other hand not the best. The ground beef taco just had a taste I would not associate with Mexican food. So maybe it's me. Thanks to the gracious feedback by the Owner, we returned here to give it another try. Well, this time, we slid right into the main restaurant (not the bar area), and even into a big, plush booth. The place definitely had a rugged Tex-Mex ambiance...topped with Country music overhead. Again, I'm not into Country music, but it fit the ambiance. Also, unlike the last time, our waitress was right on top of things...and the service was remarkably better from the start. I had my usual Paco's Tacos, with extra rice (in place of black beans) and cole slaw. I also had the crispy corn shell this time...and it was MUCH better than the soggy soft shell. My husband had this huge Chimchanga, and he seemed to like it. We also tried this Bacon-wrapped Jalapeno, and they were delish! I enjoyed the strong Pineapple Mint Margarita too. I'm so married to their Beef Brisket Tacos ("Paco's Tacos"), I can't get myself to try other things. I really need to try other items on the menu. Also, I might have said this before, from my reviews for the Southpark location, but I REALLY like their rice. Both my husband and I agreed that this is the best Mexi Rice in Charlotte. I didn't love the soggy black beans on my previous visit, so I was appreciative that they agreed to double my rice in its place. Overall, this was a massive improvement from our last experience. Okay- you've got my fifth star. Front of house, server and food runners were on point. Friendly, knowledgeable, etc The skinny margarita with Tajin rim was delicious and fresh. I've always loved Paco's at Southpark and I've had some good experiences at Paco's Kingsley. I brought 25 people to Kingsley Paco's on my birthday, so its safe to say I've been a fan in the past. On Friday 8/7 my GF and I went Kingsley Paco's. They had a 1-hour wait which was expected although they didn't have anyone in the lobby waiting. No big deal. Bar was full so the Hostess' said we could sit outside. We said ok and then started to walk outside without anyone escorting us or giving us menus or silverware. Nobody was outside so we went back in and asked if they were going to let anyone know we were outside? Hostess said it was "self serve" and we could order at the bar. Not the norm and it was a little frustrating but ok, its Friday, were excited for a Big Taco Salad and few drinks! So we went to the bar to order. Bartender offered us menus and then someone else came up and told us we would have to order food with the "To Go" person. My GF asked... so we need to serve ourselves, open two tabs? Do I need to grab my chips and salsa myself? Should I bus my table before I leave? I've never experienced such a lack of hospitality like this at one of my favorites. We left and went elsewhere for dinner. We called shortly after to speak with the manager. After sharing our experience she said "That is our policy". Such a shame they are ruining the Paco's brand. Delicious, delicious, delicious. This is a very premium Mexican restaurant overall. The food was outstanding and worth the premium Mexican food price. My wife had the enchiladas de Dennis. I had two pacos tacos. I had some of hers. Hers was really great. Great cream and cheese sauce. My tacos with the brisket had an amazing flavor. The guac we had was very fresh good mixture. Such a great experience! I brought my family to dinner and everyone loved it. The service was amazing. Our server Amanda was very attentive without being overbearing. We got a table inside overlooking the gorgeous lake. Everyone was excited to try different types of tacos! I used to live in South Park, so I frequented the original location. My favorite is the Shake Down Shrimp and the Chicken Milanesa. Oh, and the guacamole is incredible! My family was impressed to find out that they make it right at the table. My stepdad is allergic to onions, so we asked if they could hold the onions. They obviously said yes. My stepdad was ELATED to find out he could indulge in the guacamole. First off- the staff that worked with us were all very friendly. Queso was expensive but delicious. We had made a reservation for outdoor seating, which when we arrived were informed there were large parties outside, so we couldn't sit there. A little frustrating. This had to be some of the most bland food I have ever had and way overpriced. I did the two taco option- it did come with a small portion of rice and a cup of beans- but $19 for that AND it was soooo bland, I didn't even feel like I was ingesting food- just my wasted $19. Margarita was overpriced for what it was- first one was decent, second felt super watered down. I ofcourse saw the menu with prices, so I'll take ownership of that- but for the quality the prices should've been much less but I'm sure the rent is insane in this area. We had an OK visit for our first time at this location. The food was good, I had beef enchiladas and my wife's tacos looked very good. I had a bite of the first enchiladas they brought (chicken), before they corrected it, even before I noticed. Oddly, the menu seemed very limited. I see pictures of burritos and chimichanga here, but there were none on the menu. VERY small beer selection for me, though my wife's margarita was tasty. Atmosphere inside was fine. Service was very good. We go Fridays at 3:30-4 before the rush which tends to be an odd time for service, but it was good, the staff was very well trained. The hostess team needs some experienced help. They really are struggling with managing reservations (why does this place even take them is my question?), call ahead seating and walk-ins. The woman who I believe was in charge of the hostesses was quite unpleasant. If you're a walk-in, you will die on the vine waiting for a table because they haven't learned how to incorporate walk-ins with reservations/wait list. So that was super frustrating and unpleasant. When we did get seated, well over half the tables were empty. I understand not slamming a new kitchen, but the seating process has a lot of room for improvement. I didn't base my rating on this, merely stating it was a mess! However, our server was such a sweet guy and did a very good job. The manager was present and helping staff and the food came out quickly. We much prefer TexMex food to "authentic" Mexican food, so we had high hopes. For us, the food was okay. Queso was kind of bland. Chili on the cheese enchiladas tasted like Wolf brand chili and completely overwhelmed the enchiladas. I really couldn't taste anything but chili. The other enchiladas at our table were nothing special either. This place is pricy. For two waters, a queso and two enchilada entrees, our bill was close to $60. Steak fajitas are almost $40. Went there a few weeks back. Called in one dinner to go. Basic. It took me about 40 minutes to arrive so the food should have already been cooked and packed to go. Weird waitress said yes my food was ready and waiting and she would go grab it. I Waited 15 minutes for her to come back with it. She wouldn't look me in the eye. Red flags. I pulled the food container out of the bag. The rice looked like someone had taken a scoop out of it. I showed the waitress and even she admitted that it looked weird. I asked her what took so long while I was standing there waiting. She had no explanation but the supervisor who was next to where I was on the opposite side of the restaurant than the kitchen AND had her back turned to the kitchen the whole time began to treat me like I was the problem and loudly talk to me as if I had no right to ask about these very odd things. I make a really good one and being a soup girl have tried it at multiple restaurants but can honestly say while the broth was tasty I've never had a chicken tortilla soup with corn, carrots & potatoes.
