Service was slow drinks were alright. Waited about 20 minutes for every drink. Female bartenders here are horrible except for Liz. Don't forget to tip or the'll run out out the bar and threaten to assault you. 20% on the check would've been 20$ and they outside jumping around like little hyenas, making threats and trying to assault people. Definitely a townie bar. They're smoking on the inside and smoking on the outside. Stopped here to watch a football game recently and it's interesting for a Irish pub. The only thing they have Irish is Guinness not a lot of selections on tap, but the reports of how you're gonna get ignored by the waitresses because you're not Local is not true. The service was good. There just was not a lot to really bring me in though. read more

I was here about a year ago. Cool crowd not sure what the other person was talking about with they don't like other folks coming in. I was cool with the bouncer and the bartender. Folks might have been a little clicky like any other spot but I can make friends with a fire hydrant so I was trading tops with some random gal at the end of the night, at the bar. so... I had been there a few times before so pretty cool with the folks there. I'm Latin so I didn't expect any warmth from strangers either. I might go over tonight. Cool watering hole in Bradenton - pool table if you are into that. Only one so difficult to play on busy nights unless you're a shark! Be forewarned: bar does not serve food so smoking allowed and atmosphere is very smoky. You will be washing that out of your skin / hair / clothes. read more

Paddy wagons on Cortez has a bartender named "Gabby" started off a n appreciative then turn into a complete bitch!!! I asked politely for a drink and she ignoreD it! Then I asked another bartender for the same drink 15 minutes later and was told i was out of line and that I could not not be served!!! And I asked the question so the customer is never right and they say yes the customer is not right! Complete disrespect for a customer that tops over 20 percent and took my drinK I paid for away without me finishing it!!! This bunch of worthless bartenders should never have a job in the public sector. I was trying to buy a drink for an 83 year old lady on her birthday and was ignored twice and then brought it to their attention and they turned on me like I was at fault for being customer Shame the hell on you paddy wagon for employing people like them. Actually, this place gets 5 stars Monday thru Saturday. It's a really warm, friendly, clean and fun place to hang out with all my pals. Sunday used to also get 5 stars. Now, it only gets 1. For a smoking bar, it is clean and well decorated. The bar tenders are very nice and the older crowd is nice. However, don't go to this bar after working hours unless you want to be treated like an outcast by the regulars and locals. The younger crowd does not like new people having fun in THEIR bar. I stopped in for my first visit to shoot pool and was treated very badly by the locals. I was trying to be nice, respectful, positive, and sociable but no matter what I did or didn't do, I was made out to be an outcast and at one point I was threatened by the regulars. Good luck trying to meet new people in this bar or trying to play music. The juke box is outdated and god forbid you try and play country music. read more

I am writing this for the Paddy wagon on Cortez RD. Not a place for 50+ or older. My wife and I went to celebrate her birthday. As we were having fun standing to play pool these young people ran in to us several times as they rushed back and forth from friend to friend. As I asked the lady to quit running in to us I noticed her friends giggling, laughing and video tapping us. I noticed we were the oldest people in the bar and I think we were the brunt of the joke! If your not a smoker wear a gas mask!!! read more

If you're a smoker and a Michigan State fan, this is your place. Bartenders seem a little aloof sometimes, but once they notice you, great service. Been there several times. If you don't smoke, there is a very nice outdoor terrace with several tv's. It's my favorite neighborhood bar. Go Green!!! read more

This is for the Cortez Road location. Our next review will be to the Better Business Bureau. The bar on Cortez road charged our credit card twice for one visit. After 2 phone calls and 2 visits we are still unable to get our money back. The bartender originally told us that it happens frequently. Someone needs to stop this place from stealing from their patrons. Visit at your own risk. read more
