I've been coming to this location for years. I remember when it first opened. They are consistent. It's a clean restaurant, service is usually pretty fast depending on what time you go and what day. The food/desserts are excellent. Again consistency is key and they have that. My favorite ticket is the cheesecakes, especially when it's white chocolate raspberry and also their banana pudding. Was a huge fan of paderia bakehouse. I stayed here some time as it's a good place to do work and in that time I tried two drinks and one of their seasonal cookies. Let's just say the location is in a perfect spot and based on my time there, traffic can easily get busy, but why wouldn't you love this shop it was fantastic. First let's just say the flavors are modern drinks meet diversity. There's a mix of Hispanic and asian flavors in your coffee that really make this coffee spot standout. Mazapan latte: The Mazapan latte was amazing and for those who do not know, Mazapan is a peanut based candy that is crumbly and slightly powdered. This drink stuck to its taste with bits of Mazapan and possibly a dash of syrup. It was a settle taste that was not at all overwhelming while complimenting the cafecito well. Matcha Horchata: This drink was surreal and I absolutely loved it. I was a first timer and it was a fusion drink where two authentic tastes meet. I am likely impartial since I am an horchata fanatic and matcha fanatic so needless to say I enjoy them separately. In the words of Remy "each flavor is totally unique, but combine one flavor with another and something new is created." Needless to say, the combination was something I didn't realize I needed to discover in my life. Triple chocolate cookie: Paderia offered multiple desserts, but I decided to try the cookie and I was not disappointed. It was hard on the outside, crunchy on the edges, and absolutely gooey, soft, and chewy on the inside. That said, the chocolate itself is definitely great quality and was very rich. Once I had a taste of Paderia's cookies, I had to come back! I have to admit when I heard about how much these cookies cost and how thick they were, it put me off. I dislike dense cookies, but they were a hit for me. Very buttery and thick, but the flavor is addicting. My favorite is the classic chocolate chip but they have other fun flavors. But seeing plump, dense mounds of sweet cake behind the glass case made it very hard to resist. Temptation won and I was well rewarded. We picked out three of these innocent-looking yet devilish morsels, totalling $18. One sea salt chocolate chip, one chocolate chip with walnuts, and after tasting their sample-of-the-day, one pistachio and white chocolate. By far, the pistachio turned out to be my favorite, an unexpected surprise. While none of the cookies had the distinctive browned butter taste I crave, they were all wonderful. My only wish would be that the chocolate chips were more bittersweet than they actually were. But there is no denying their ingredients were high quality. I placed an order a day in advance for pickup for dessert for my sister's birthday dinner. When I arrived to pick up my order, I was told that two of the items could not be fulfilled because they were out of stock. I was never contacted by email or phone ahead of time, which was especially frustrating given that this was for a special occasion and I could have made other arrangements. What's still confusing to me is how items could be sold out when the order was placed a day in advance; either the online inventory is inaccurate or the items were not set aside. Overall, the lack of communication and clarity made for a disappointing experience. I do want to say that I appreciated the two evening employees who helped me at pickup and genuinely tried to remedy the situation the best they could by offering cookies in place of the missing items. The menu has a little something for everyone. Banana pudding ($7): The star of the show and truly an experience. The banana slices taste better than normal bananas somehow and it's layered in a shortcake style with light whipped frosting or cream that doesn't blast you with sugar. That being said, it's still a decadent dessert for one's sweet tooth. It's not really a jelly-like pudding as one might imagine. Five stars for quality and taste. It's a nicely-sized cup and you could probably eat it in two servings or share. I would love to return to try their other baked goods and I think Paderia is a standout for its banana pudding alone. Some of the best cookies I've ever had. I got the toffee pretzel, triple chocolate, sea salt chocolate chip, an egg tart, and the biscoff latte. I was worried that because the cookies were so thick that they would be cakey but they were wonderfully dense. The egg tart was also amazing with a super flakey crust and smooth custard but wouldn't go back solely for the egg tart as I can get some amazing ones in San Gabriel for much cheaper. The biscoff latte was a skip for me though due to the little to no biscoff flavor. It was a nice and creamy coffee but I wouldn't get it again.
