I heard this spot had an all you can eat lunch option so had to check it out. For about $12 you get a drink, salad bar, pizza, meatballs and pasta. I enjoyed the salad bar quite a bit. Fresh and plenty of toppings to choose from. Pizza was made fresh when we came in. I'd not say it was amazing but it was fresh and hot. Crust was good. Did have a little burnt spots on the bottom but that's how it's supposed to be. If anything there was too much cheese, not a bad thing necessarily but I like a balance. They do have a full menu with sandwiches, wings, pasta and all. We'll be back for lunch for sure read more

DO NOT THINK I FORGOT My review of this restaurant, yesterday 2/20/2014 while working I decided to treat several co workers to lunch/dinner. I placed my order for delivery a 16" peperoni pizza and a 2 liter cherry coke. Four people including myself consumed the pizza, my co workers were thankful and very appretiative. Fast forward 10 hours later 6 am I was awakened with stomache cramps and sharp pains. I ended up in the bathroom with diarhea several times within a half hour. I thought to myself the only thing I had eaten the day before was the pizza and cherry coke from Padrinos. Today when my co workers arrived to work they told me they became ill with the same diarhea and stomache discomfort I experienced also during that morning. I felt so bad and embarassed, I tried to do good will from the heart and made my hardworking innocent co workers sick. I can assume nasty food handling procedures and bacteria at this restaurant, thank God Jesus my body did what it was supposed to do and eliminated it from my blood and system. I called this restaurant today and told the manager what happened, he was nice and understanding and he offered a credit for more food from his restaurant, NO THANK YOU, KEEP MY MONEY,YOUR CREDIT OFFER AND CONTAMINATED FOOD. Padrino's has excellent pizza, consistent for 50 years at the same location. Typically get the pepperoni and mushroom on a thin crust. It's also a great place to go for a low key gathering after a service at Quantico National Cemetery with its modest side room next to the small bar typically unoccupied during the day. We flew into DCA to visit our son who is in the military, We were given a to go menu for Padrinos II when we checked into our hotel. They had online ordering and we were all so hungry from traveling we weren't careful about checking reviews before ordering. I ordered the Chicken & Shrimp Scampi($16.95), my husband and son ordered a cheese pizza. I opened the Scampi and realized it was plain, unseasoned angel hair pasta with 3 old shrimp (you could smell that past due seafood smell) and a slab of chicken. No garlic, no parsley, no traditional sauce... just awful. I went to take a bite of the plain pasta and smelled the stinky seafood and couldn't eat it. Absolutely inedible. The "side salad" they served was - few pieces of iceberg, 2 pieces of unripe tomato, and 2 pieces of cucumber. Smallest side salad I've ever seen, and soaked with water. Fortunately the pizza was barely edible, so we ate something after our long trip to get here. We visit Padrinnos three days a week, mainly because you can smoke at the bar. Visited on Thursday, August 17th and was told we couldn't smoke until the party that was there had gone. Other customers had the same issue. We wanted to order food but decided to go elsewhere. Other customers followed. We were told the party was to be over @ 6:00. There was still party goers there so the smoking ban stayed in effect. So, my question is........ Is this a Smoking bar, or Non smoking bar? This business just lost a lot of business. I had a meeting in Quantico with some clients and I wanted to grab something to eat off base. I stopped st the first strip mall near the base and it was a sad series of events. I yelped every restaurant and they all had 1-2 stars. I was almost prepared to starve to save my pallet from being assaulted by some Virginia off base swamp food. When I finally took a chance it was the pizza this place which looked like they could possibly be edible enough for a lunch break. I walked in and this place was packed with retired men and ex military personnel. The specials were 7.99 for the salad and pizza bar which included pizza, salad, and wings that looked like I would be risking my life for one bite. And any half sub with French fries for 7 dollars. I opted for the sandwich and fries after looking the entire salad bar over. To my surprise the sandwich was not the worst thing I've ever tasted. It was a well thought out chicken cheesesteak. Though it didn't look like much it tasted like a cheesesteak. Obviously the grill it was cooked on had been blessed with steak seasoning from previous sandwiches and the fries were kind of hit or miss. They had a funny grease taste and at one point I wished that I had ordered the salad that my guest was feasting on. Overall the service was good and the food edible, but not perfect. Love the food. It's good and has been consistently good for years as far back as I can remember. The prices on a few of their menu items are a little bit extreme (i.e., onion rings that are priced $7.25 compared to french fries at $2.69), but most items are pretty reasonable. Something I did notice was that the prices for many food items are higher on the mobile/online app than on other sites. I don't recall which ones, right off, but found it interesting. With that said, the price came out about the same - give or take a dollar - regardless of the site or coupon used. read more

We have been ordering from Padrino's II for the past six years. We noticed for the last few months that their quality, taste and especially their customer service has gone way down hill. The last pizza we received (large pepperoni, black olive and extra cheese - our normal order) barely had any cheese on it, everything was bunched in the middle, it was cold and had some fuzzy thing stuck to the bottom of it. We called them to let them know how disappointed we were ($30 for one delivered pizza), they offered a free pizza on our next order instead of crediting us our $ back. We called this past Saturday, to collect on that free pizza, and at first they couldn't find any record of a "free pizza", then they said it would be a plain cheese pizza, we asked for, and agreed to pay for our toppings, then they said it had to be picked up. This place was ok. Kinda dead for a Saturday Night. We had the Chef salad which we were able to split between two adults and two kids. (Forgot the picture). Then we got a whole pizza supreme style. Not bad tasting. I just found the price meh. We also had some garlic knots. These were also meh. We had very little dipping squad. And they were kinda flavorless. If you're tired of Dominoes', Pizza Hutt, and Papa John's look no further. Padrino's Pizza has the best pizza around. I always get a large with pepperoni, bacon, and jalapeno. The pizza is always baked just right with just the right amount of toppings. Their steak and cheese is also great. Truth is, I need to expand my pallet there. Our nearly decade long relationship with Padrinos has come to an end. They've lost their way in customer service and food quality has been sliding over time. Some of the servers at the counter are just plain unpleasant and would rather quarrel the listen to customer needs. There is one in particular that's especially unpleasant. Let's call her #1. We are a retired couple, and often joke about about who's going to pickup the food cause we're semi-afraid of the counter servers. The last straw: We were "STARVING" for lunch, so I drove over to place a carry-out order including a sub with marinara sauce in lieu of salad dressing. While waiting over 30 minutes I noticed they were giving the special order to another customer. They announced, "Hoagie with marinara sauce?" Then it gave to another gentleman, who said that's not what he ordered, but shrugged and took it. In the mean time, I spoke up and repeatedly said, "I think that's my order." Well, I got the death stare from #1. I might as well had two heads. Then after waiting more time, my order came up. I asked #1 specifically, "Is that the hoagie with marinara sauce?" She replied, yes. I drove home, my wife and I got all settled in. Opened the hoagie, and it's sopped with salad dressing. Oh gosh. I drove it back to Padrinos for a replacement. Got there and explained to #1 it was a special order for marinara. Of course, the hoagie is cold by then. Unbelievably, she takes it back and slaps some marinara on the soggy, cold sub then hands it back to me like I had offended her somehow. "Are you kidding?, I asked marinara sauce?" #1 curtly replied, "I gave you marinara sauce!" I told them that I'm there all the time. #1 exclaimed that she had never seen me before! It just went downhill from there and apologetically I was pretty hangry by then. Yes, it's a silly petty sandwich, but this is indicative of what Padrinos in Dumfries has become. The food quality is reflective of the same. However, we give their delivery drivers 5 stars. They're awesome and we love'em. We're the folks on Possum Point that gave them $20-50 tips. They've earned it and deserve it! Recommendations for Padrinos: IMO, You've become stale and lost your priorities. It's depressing in there. You need to freshen up your restaurant and serving staff. Customers should never be kind of afraid of your staff. Remember that food quality matters, and most of all be nice and considerate to your customers. We'll wait some time and maybe try again some time, but we're done for now. P.S. Our hearts and prayers go out to all the restaurants and small businesses in the area. Was recommended this place but unfortunately It didnt live up to the hype. There were many errors. Steak and cheese sandwich was too greasy and messy. We ordered 10 spicy wings and we only got 8 wings served at our table. We got 2 more and the 2 wings were undercooked. We ordered another set of Mild wings and it was all undercooked. Had their Meat Lover's pizza, and after reading a few mixed reviews I decided to order. I won't be ordering again but I will explain why very briefly. I get the box over to the table and hope to open the box with some heart eyes, however, I was slightly unimpressed with the look of the pizza. But, as my mom taught me, never judge a book by it's cover. I grab a slice, see some good cheezy gOoeyness action going on and I slightly grin like the Grinch. I set the slice down on the plate. Next, I notice a malingering piece of meat that fell off my plate back into the box, so I happily obliged to help myself of this juicy morsel of hamburger meat. I lift it to my face and dig in (insert happiness), but to my dismay, it doesn't really taste lIke hamburger, it tastes like dry philly cheesesteak meat(insert disappointment because I don't want philly meat on my meat lovers). So then, I bite into the crust first, because I ultimately judge a great pie on the texture, taste, and consistency of the dough. The dough seriously tasted as if it came from a frozen pizza or was pre made and sat out for a while, because it was chewy and not desirable at all. And the colder the pie got, the more the crust had a cracker type of consistency(not good). Crust literally was hard dust that crumbled apart. It was my fault for trusting them and not checking before I drove off. My family just moved into the area, and we wanted something easy for dinner so we ordered Padrino's online. We ordered a MeatLovers pizza, which is what we normally order from any other pizza place. Needless to say, we were not at all impressed. The pizza was very hard to eat because the crust was very hard and chewy, almost like cardboard. It reminded me a lot of a store brand freezer pizza. I chose this place based off of Google Reviews versus Yelp Reviews which was my mistake. Ive been going to Padrionos since I was a teenager and stopped going years ago because the service and quality of food sucked so bad. Today decided to give it a shot. Well, worst decision ever! Yall know if you have been that its a small dining area, not one hello, how are you or nothing! The 2 guys just stared at us like they were mad they had to work. We immediately noticed the t-stat said 85 degrees so I asked and the one guy said the air was broke and walked away. Kevin came over to the table and stood back. Barely opened his mouth, barely could hear him. It was the worst. I had to ask him to repeat him self several times. No personality, no smile, no nothing. Dry as toast! I would say it was because the air was broke but I wont give him the credit. The shrimp took forever and finally had to ask for it to go. We wont be going back again.
