Alas, this was the only one I chose. Personally, I know my Nepalese food! I've been to Kathmandu, and have trekked out to Nagarkot in the Himalayas, at the base of Mount Everest. The food here is rather authentic- it seems to have a heavy northern Indian influence in their cooking. I really enjoyed the decor here- psychedelic paintings of Mt Everest, stars set in the ceiling, and various shrines to the gods. The chairs were embroidered with pictures of the famous mountain, which was a nice touch. They have an extensive menu that goes on for pages. On the very back of the menu, they offer the daily specials, which are value priced with large portions. I opted for the curried lamb with naan bread, which was spicy, meaty and incredible. The naan was served with a garlic coating, along with those crisp flat breads. The service was rather aloof- it took a long period of time to get our orders in and our drinks spent most of the time empty. The place was clean and cramped, with our elbows banging into the next table over.

Located right off the main road walking distance from old town Porvoo, this Nepalese place hit the spot. Samosas we're not oily, filled with potato and cauliflower and had a nice kick. Chicken tikka masala wasn't creamy at all but had more fragrant spices and was quite hot. It was very different then what I'm use to but still very good. Entrees come with rice, salad and a huge piece of naan. Service was very attentive and prices reasonable for the amount of food you get. Skip the touristy restaurants across the road and come here instead. Recommended.
