We were looking for a spot to eat at on the way and closer to home. The online search brought us to the popular and newest location of the Korean Chinese restaurant Paik's Noodle. We arrived at the restaurant on an early Thursday evening for dinner recently. They are located in a nice shopping plaza off of Blossom Hill Road. Dicks Sporting Goods and the popular Blossom and Bourbon are located in the same shopping center. Parking is accessible in the parking lot out front. Paik's Noodle has nice cultural modern decor with a few vibrant red walls. It is clean, spacious, and inviting. There are plenty of tables for both small and large parties for dine in. One wall has a huge picture of the CEO and creator of the franchise. There is a user friendly tablet menu on your table in which you can order your food and drinks. We ordered sweet and sour pork, 4 fried dumplings, shrimp fried rice, and Jajangmyeon. The food came out pretty quickly. Everything was authentic and flavorful. The fried dumplings and shrimp fried rice were delicious traditional dishes I am use to. As for the Jajangmyeon and sweet and sour pork, I have never had dishes prepared like these before. Those dishes were unique, bold, and very tasty. Overall we enjoyed our experience at Paik's Noodle. The staff were nice and accommodating. The atmosphere was family friendly and bustling. The complementary daikon was a nice touch. I appreciated the food coming out quickly which is always nice. The price point was fair. I was glad we got to check it out but I'm not sure when we will be back again.

Everything we order was yummy. I think we over order but wanted to try everything . It was still good the next day. Everything was hot out of the kitchen fried chicken nice and crispy outside and moist inside. The noodles with black bean sauce just yummy noodles were cook perfect the way I like it. Most times noodle are over cooked. Then there's the sweet and sour pork. Again crispy outside and moist inside. Sauce is separated so it won't get soggy. TY to the owner who offered me a cup of tea to warm up as it was cold inside as ac was blasting. We definitely will be back this time with more people.

Came here on a Sunday late lunch, ~1pm and it was a full house. We didn't have to wait long before we got seated. You order directly from the tablet, which makes it quick and easy. We ordered the jajangmyeon (black bean noodle) with meat, the spicy version of it, sweet and sour pork, and a sample of their jjamppong (similar to a cioppino since it's filled with a lot of seafood and has a red broth). For two people, this was way too much food, but we were able to have leftovers for dinner. The spicy version of the jajangmyeon is similar to the regular one except they added chili oil and jalapenos on top. I think I prefer the regular one better because there was quiet a lot of chili oil, which wasn't too spicy but the jalapenos was. It just felt greasier. Everything came out quick. Service was good, as they were attentive that if we were sharing, they quickly brought out plates and bowls depending on what we got. When we left, there was a longer wait! Crazy for a Sunday afternoon. Parking is easy as there are tons in the lot by the restaurant.

This Korean- Chinese cuisine spot, we're really impressed! The noodles were absolutely delicious, and the rice was cooked to perfection. The service was friendly, and the food came out in a reasonable amount of time. I really liked the vibe of the place, and my kid loved it too--especially when the staff gave him some gummies, which was such a sweet touch. We actually came here last night for takeout and liked it so much that we came back again for lunch today--definitely a good sign! We'll for sure be coming back. Glad that it's closed to home.

We came around lunchtime on a weekend - it wasn't very crowded, so we were seated immediately. You'll order on a little tablet. Our table ordered the jajangmyeon, stir fry noodles (with no seafood), fried dumplings, and garlic soy chicken wings. The jajangmyeon was delicious! The noodle texture is springy and clung to the black bean sauce well. The sauce itself was flavorful, and we found ourselves fighting for the last spoonfuls of it. The stir fry noodles were a miss with us - we're not huge fans of the vinegar-y sauce, but the noodle texture was similarly great. Both the fried dumplings and the garlic soy wings were okay; not noteworthy, but the crispiness of them add a nice variety to the otherwise only-noodles meal.

I came here during lunch time with my family and had a good time. It wasn't packed so we were seated immediately Food (4/5): The noodles were nice and chewy and everything tasted fresh! Parking (5/5): The parking lot was huge so we were able to find parking easily Service (5/5): The service was fast and nice.

So I tried the Mr Paik Noodle on Blossom Hill and it was meh. The space is definitely bigger, brighter, and feels newer compared to the Santa Clara location, which I usually go to. It looks great inside and feels more modern overall. That said, the food just did not hit the same. If you have been to the Santa Clara spot, just know it is vastly superior and it is not even close. The noodles here were not as chewy or thick. The jajangmyeon used a different noodle and the sauce was very watery. It was so thin that it left a pool in the bowl, which is not what jajangmyeon is supposed to do. It should be rich and cling to the noodles, not run off them. The jjamppong tasted overly fishy and honestly made me question the freshness of the seafood. It just did not have that clean, balanced spice and depth I am used to. The biggest letdown was the sweet and sour pork. It was not crunchy. It was soft with a slight crisp on the outside but nowhere near the satisfying crunch you expect. If you are charging $18, the texture needs to be on point. They also charge extra for the spicy sauce option and in my opinion it is not worth it. You are better off just adding the chili powder they provide at the table. On the positive side, the wait staff were very friendly and attentive. I also really liked the digital ordering system at the table and the ability to call your server directly from the screen. That part was smooth and convenient. Overall, nice space and great service, but if you are going strictly for food quality, I would still choose the Santa Clara location every time.

Pricey!! Service is quick and fast and the parking lot is easy to find a spot which is a plus! I was a bit surprised at the prices, cause they're definitely higher than the one located in Santa Clara. The portion is quite generous though, and I'd come here if I was too lazy to go out and deal with the parking at the Santa Clara location and really craving jjajangmyun.

My wife is a regular here. She also orders this from DoorDash and raves about it. This past Friday was my first time eating here. We both shared jajangmyeon. In case you're wondering what it is, it's a thick noodle dish with a dark flavored sauce made of black beans. There's onions and you can add pork which I think is a must. Food (4 stars) + Noodles have good texture and excellent contrast to their flavorful black bean sauce + It's extra, but you have to add the pork not just for the protein but contrasting textures - I ordered extra noodles, but since they put it inside I didn't notice how much extra noodles were there (if any) Ambiance/Service (4 stars) + You order using their tablet, but there is a waiter so service does exist + Nothing special on the ambiance, but when you get your food within a few minutes I'm a happy camper So for me the downside is just the order of extra noodles. I wish they would give it as a side so we know we actually got it. Yeah we asked them and they said it's already in there, but it's like the same amount that we normally got when we DoorDash.

Solid spot for Korean food somewhere in South San Jose! The Jajangmyeon was flavorful and had a good mix of pork and veggies in the black bean sauce. Fried chicken (garlic soy) and fries came out hot and crispy; the chicken had a nice crunch while still juicy and the fries at the bottom absorbed the flavor from the sauce! I enjoyed how the sauce was on the side of the Sweet and sour pork so that the food could remain crispy as long as possible. Service was very friendly and quick. Note, you can use the tablet to call server to request for more napkins, water, to-go box, check, etc. which is a cool concept for those who don't like waving down for help! Overall, this was a nice restaurant and something to come back to.

In the Nood One of almost forty (38) restaurants that are US offshoots of famed Korean celebrity chef** Jong-Won Paik restaurants. They are currently in fourteen states, with the preponderance of the locations (16) being here in Cali, with five of which being here in The Bay. Paik's serves up a Korean-Chinese fusion (aka Sino-Korean) that is popular in the northern parts of both countries but almost unheard of globally. This cuisine is considered to be peasant food, as the shops that serve it typically cater to lower-income demographics. The Good: *Easy parking in a large shared lot *Service was very friendly and attentive without being too attentive, if you know what I'm saying. *We loved the tablet ordering system. It worked well and you can order one at a time or ask at once. We did have one minor quibble with it (see below). *Interior design and layout was more appealing to us than the Santa Clara location, which comes off as cramped in comparison. *Beer & Soju available *Complimentary Danmuji (Korean Yellow Pickled Radish) is my delicious and they'll keep it coming if you ask. *Probably the most popular dish of this type of cuisine is their Jajangmyeon, which are noodles in an earthy black bean sauce, and it really is a must here at Paik's. The noodles are amazingly silky, soft and chewy. They went down easily in the sweet but earthy black bean sauce. We were surprised to see a Jajangmyeon featuring "meat" (spoiler alert: it's pork), but it was a pleasant and tasty surprise. *Another popular dish is the Sweet & Sour Pork (aka Tangsuyuk) with its crispy rice flour coating and concomitant sweet and sour sauce that comes on the side standard, as to not sog out the pork. And yes it's supposed to be that gloopy, but just go with it because it's delicious and the perfect accompaniment to the crisp, peppery pork. *The crispy steamed buns were another delicious first for us, and they reminded us of a doughier Beignet. They do come out warm, so one might want to wait to order them until they're ready to be consumed. *Veggie Fried Rice was delicious, if that's what you want. Not going to blow your mind, but it's a solid rendition of this ubiquitous Chinese dish. The Meh: *No outdoor dining *18% gratuity on parties of 6+ The Ugly: *I'm not sure why you can order but not pay thru the tablet. While the ordering prices was smooth, for some reason when we asked for the check in the tablet it didn't seem to work. We had to physically flag down the waitress. Conclusion: Paik's offers up a unique Korean dining experience by taking a little-known rustic food and elevating it to gourmet status, thanks to quality ingredients. **Chef Paik is one of the judges on Netflix's "Culinary Class Wars," which is excellent if you like cooking competitions. I highly recommend it.

Tried the new Paik's Noodle in San Jose and loved it. Same delicious dishes as the Santa Clara location, but honestly the parking here is so much better, makes me want to come back more often. The restaurant feels new and modern, with a nice open layout and clean, simple decor. Order from a tablet right at the table, super easy and convenient. Most important part, the noodles taste fresh and really yummy. Everything we ordered hit the spot. If you already like the Santa Clara location, you will definitely like this one too.

Black bean noodles were great. Brought back a taste of Hong Kong in mind. The pillows (steamed buns)- recommend for dessert. Garlic soy wings and fries were ok. Definitely can try again to be sure. Overall, can't wait to return for more menu items.

You place your order through a QR code, which makes the process quick and easy. This visit, we ordered the salt and pepper chicken wings, Tidu Sliced Beef Pot, and Tianjin Eggplant. The wings are a must-order here. They're always perfectly fried and crispy on the outside while still staying juicy and tender inside. The Tidu Sliced Beef Pot reminded me of a dry hot pot. It had a great mala flavor with a subtle numbing sensation, and the peanuts added a nice crunch and texture to the dish. The Tianjin Eggplant was simple but delicious, with flavorful pork that paired really well with the soft eggplant. Overall, the food here is comforting and satisfying. It's a place I'll definitely keep coming back to.

We walked in right at opening to a completely empty dining room. Instead of leaving, we browsed the menu and ordered XLB, pot stickers, jelly fish, and pea sprouts (my personal fav) so glad we didn't leave! The XLB are a nice size, with each precious dumpling cradled in its own foil wrapper for maximum soup retention. The potstickers were full of flavor, packed with protein, delicately wrapped, and had the crispiest, golden bottoms! Jelly fish was fresh and the pea sprouts were a hit! The poor owner answering the phones made sure (in all languages) to inform folks calling in that there were a different May Flower than the other place-felt terrible for her but also understood the importance of differentiating right up front. I can only imagine the number of misorders they have probably dealt with. By the time we were done, the dining room was filled with a mix of what seemed like regulars, locals, large groups of families, small groups of friends... this feels like we stumbled upon a tiny hole in the wall restaurant where everyone who has been before just knows the quality and taste they are going to be getting! This is one of the handful of American Chinese restaurants that stood the test of time. As is typical of these places, there was an old lady manning the counter and also acting as the server.
