Beside manner of Doctor - 0 Gentleness of Doctor Professionalism of Doctor - 0 Office Staff - 5 As a first-time patient - he literally spent more time entering data on the computer screen with his back to me than he did with me. I just moved to this town - have gone to chiropractors for years so this is not my first rodeo. My former chiropractor used a computerized technique so I just mentioned this in case it impacted the type of care he gave me. He said he does not "go in for the gizmos", etc. basically being critical of his fellow chiropractor colleague who had invested time, energy and learning for a new technique. I felt his comments were extremely unprofessional and uncalled for. When we got to the adjustment phase - let's just say I've been treated more gently when I gave birth. Then - we won't even talk about the neck adjustment. Snap, crackle and YANK. Good news is is office staff (there was only one) was cordial and the office takes Medicare. Booking appointments and paying for services or products is easy and quick. They offer a pleasant and clean waiting area that has bottled water, reading materials, and interesting paintings and pictures. Review Area: Overall Dr. Wilson is very professional and relaxed, a great teacher, learner, and listener. He didn't just throw tests, facts, pills, or treatments in my face and hoped something worked. He listens to what I have to say, he asks questions that help clarify points or prompt me to bring up items I might have forgotten to mention. He further takes the time to thoroughly explain background information, how the body works, and other facts and ideas to then support why he would recommend a path of wellness. His knowledge of the human body, nutrition, chiropractic care, and how it's all interrelated with all other aspects of wellness is amazing. Dr. Wilson cares about my health just as much as I do and it's a relief and an honor to have him as a sort of coach along this journey towards a better quality of life. Review Area: Nutrition Improvements so far: Gut health, mood, sleep, mental function and clarity, motivation, energy levels; relief from severe depression, anxiety, digestion issues; better educated about this area of health and how it connects to all other areas of health and wellness Originally came to Dr. Wilson because he was the few nutritionists in the area. There's a bunch of information on the website, so I was feeling hopeful. Tried to cure or relieve my own health issues, some of them chronic, and though it worked some of it was coming back. Though a cleaned up diet that relied mostly on meats and vegetables went a long way, I still had issues that were persistent or returned after temporary relief. Doctors could not only figure out what was wrong with me, all of their tests showed that I was perfectly fine and healthy, with maybe being a little low in this vitamin or that mineral. Maintained diet changes combined with Dr. Wilson's nutritional guidance, supplements, knowledge, and wisdom has been a game changer. In just the first visit, he could tell what was fundamentally wrong with me and soon had me on a supplement regime that started relieving, or just out right curing, my various issues. This includes health problems that I've had since I was very young. I've been seeing Dr. Wilson for a few months now, and though I have more work to go, I have great confidence in Dr. Wilson's knowledge and abilities in the area of nutrition. Review Area: Chiropractic Improvements so far: Increased mobility and function, decrease in frequency of pain episodes and degree / amount of tenderness and inflammation, better educated about this area of health After significant success with Dr. Wilson's nutritional assistance and guidance, I switched to him as my primary chiropractic provider. I've had back issues since I was young, but only needed to really see a chiropractor every few years or so. Within the last four or five, I've had to go several times a year or even several times in a month. I'd follow the advice of the chiropractor as best I could to control my inflammation, but ultimately (even with the dietary changes discussed above) it was still a problem. Dr. Wilson has me come back regularly and I have seen significant reduction in my pain levels. I've also regained better mobility and use of my limbs that I didn't notice were even that compromised. Loved being able to get in the same day since I travel each week and only have one day a week for appointments. First impression was great. Office was spotless and sanitized and the reception from the office manager was warm and professional. Dr. Wilson was personal and professional and not afraid to take the time to ask me about my symptoms prior to beginning any adjustments. My only disappointment is that I can't get back for a follow up appointment any sooner due to my travel. I strained my back last weekend packing away Christmas decorations. Basically couldn't bend down or do basic tasks. Went to OSF, they wrote a script for muscle relaxers & OTC Tylenol, then sent me on my way. 7 days later the pain was just as bad as day 1. My wife insisted I go to a chiropractor around day 3, which I rebuffed as quackery (Charlie Harper mentality). Day 7 I finally caved in lieu of her constant badgering and made an appointment. The receptionist was warm, friendly and able to accommodate that same day. Day 8 (after 1st adjustment), 50% reduction & range of motion. Day 10 (2nd adjustment) I felt 95% AMAZING-- and to show my appreciation towards my stubborn wife who is always right--I finished stowing away the X-Mas decorations (with labels ) as well as crossed off ten items from the "Hunny Do List".
