I enter Hatimi Marketplace Hardware on the corner of Marion Street and Foster and check my phone to ensure I have the list and can start tracking down these necessary items ahead of Tuesdays music video shoot. All of a sudden, an older woman approaches me and asks what I need. I tell her, "Rope, Fishing Wire, Pegs and Sheeting." She leads me through the large hardware shop to the various items and I pick them up one at a time and add them to the stockpile growing in my arms. A young assistant, possibly her son, (the place feels very family owned) cuts me 15metres of rope and then I retrieve my sheeting. I get to the front counter and the lady has already put aside my pegs, which is nice. I pay for my goods, thank the shopkeepers and then head out into the blazing hot sun to hunt for victims.

As for what I was after, well the glass rose shaped lamp shade was on sale for, wait for it, $5. Amazing! These guys also stock interesting knick knacks like reproduced world globes. I've been looking for a world globe for ages and I finally found it. Sure it isn't vintage but it looks it. Guess how much? $60. So great. Highly, highly recommended.
