I've read many reviews of this place and decided we had to go. We made the one hour drive to Bartlesville just to eat here. Totally worth the drive! When we got there about 6:30 it was packed but only about a 30 minute wait so we took a walk around the block to check out the downtown area. When we came back, there is a lounge area with leather sofas to sit while you wait- cute spot! As we waited we looked at the menu to see what they had. At first I was going to order the chicken fried steak, I had seen a picture posted and a Yelp review on it, but then... I read the description for the pot roast! I've added a picture of it in this review so you can read it, after reading that I HAD to order it! We ordered chips and dips to start out with, the salsa was not too spicy and had great flavor. The question was creamy and also full of flavor. The fresh tortillas were perfectly seasoned. Please remember they were packed! This didn't bother me one bit because we were about to eat our appetizer and rest a bit before the food arrived. The atmosphere in this place- so relaxing and laid back. People were laughing, some patrons at the bar watching tvs, the employees were super attentive. While waiting for our food the owner, Mark Spencer, came to our table and asked if he could sit and visit- what a treat! He told us about his ranch, Wolf Creek Ranch, where they source their beef for the restaurant. I thought that was so neat, he knows exactly where the meat is coming from and from just speaking with him I could sense he cares about his customers and the animals he raises. Very nice man, if you get the chance to meet him or go to his ranch- do that! My husband ordered the BLTB with sweet potato fries, he said the bacon was cooked perfectly- not too crispy, and the flavor was amazing. He also enjoyed his sweet potato fries, they were fresh and not loaded in grease. Now for that pot roast- those sweet little ladies from the quilting club with their tiny hands (you'll get this when you read the description of the pot roast), you ladies are amazing! It was so very tender and juicy! It was fall-apart delicious!! The green beans had to have been locally sourced too, I didn't ask, but they were not tough like ones you'd buy at the local store. Mixed with the red bell peppers, the flavor was amazing! The gravy was definitely not from a package! I think those little quilting ladies most have made it, you could taste the love in it! I've saved the potatoes for last, they were AMAZING, creamy, moist, perfectly seasoned with a touch of cream cheese... I could've ate an entire bowl of just the potatoes! We had to get desert to-go, completely stuffed! The chocolate cake, wow!!!! Moist gooey goodness. My husband had the carrot cake, he said it was moist and the cream cheese icing wasn't too sweet. I'm definitely going back, there are so many more items I want to try! They also offer adult beverages, we don't drink so I can't do a review on that. Creative atmosphere. Extremely friendly staff-from host to waiter to bartender-the staff give that southern hospitality like true Oklahomans. Walking in the first time I never would thought they had an upstairs view of the dining room. I'm all about that high life. Looking down gave me optical view as to what other people were eating. So the burger it was. The beef, as told by the waitress, comes from a local farm; and the chicken is NOT Tysons chicken. YES! My fiancé ordered the chicken dinner with fresh green beans and mashed potatoes. I also ordered the (slightly expensive) Mac n cheese. I figured, if M&C cost this much it must be a meal or has gold flakes in it. The burger was delightful. I requested that the bourbon sauce be placed on the side. Instead I used mayo to sauce the burger. I presumed that the sauce the burger came with would be too sweet. I wanted to adapt the sweetness to my liking. Although I didn't use it, the burger was truly juicy (requested well-done) without it. It was perfectly made. The chicken was good. Not enough flavor to our likening (salt pepper) we requested some hot sauce to kick it up a notch. The green beans (cooked on a stone) were tasty. The mashed potatoes were also made well. Popped in for a late Saturday afternoon lunch. It was not busy so service was quick, friendly, and on the spot. It has a really neat bar as the central focal point downstairs with some seating on the second level overlooking the first level. We had the sweet Thai chili wings to start. Hint: eat 'em up and go wash up after! They are delicious with the right amount of heat and sweet on a meaty wing. Sticky, sticky, sticky goodness. My wife had the grilled salmon salad, which was loaded with fresh veggies and came with her choice of dressing. She said it was good with the salmon moist and properly seasoned. I chased the wings with some loaded fries - handcut fries smothered in cheese, bacon, jalapeño, and green onion. A smooth ranch dressing on the side complemented them perfectly. Our server was pleasant and kept our drinks filled and offered "to go" drinks (soft drinks) as well. This place was amazing! Really cool spot. It's kind of like walking into a modernized old west saloon. Food was a bit pricey, but everything tasted great. Kids loved their options. Beer menu was plentiful and they had great specials. Kids loved the vanilla cream soda. Service was fine. I loved all the cowboy vibes. We watched bull riding on the television while we waited for our food. Hangover burger and all the specialty Mac and cheese's are especially recommended. This is one of our favorite restaurants in town. Food is great, drinks are decent. The problem recently is the staff. Wait staff is rude, argues with customers, forgets about their tables, and we were pretty confident our waitress was intoxicated. Kitchen has been taking double the time that it used to. We started at Hideaway Pizza, even got there at 4:30 and was told by their mgr, Brian, they did not have a server until 5 for the back area and would seat us when half our group arrive, which was at 5:20 - waited another 40 minutes and Brian had no intentions on seating us, like he had said at 4:30 - they even had the room to seat our group at 5:20. Thank goodness my sons walk down to Painted Horse and they said, they would be thrilled to accommodate our large group. We were very happy with the food, drinks and phenomenal service! Wow! ThIs place is the real deal! Some of the best nachos "Not Chose" as they call them are redonkadonk! I chose the pulled pork version and a mountain of chips covered in beer cheese, tomatoes, onions, jalapeños and tender pulled pork arrived in a short time. I was very impressed with the freshness of the appetizer and the flavors melted together perfectly. It also came with a side of bbq sauce that tasted like it was made in house. My friend has The Frenchy, a French Dip with au jus. He said it was one of the best he'd had. We also enjoyed $4 draft craft beers as well. We will definitely be back. read more

One of better choices in Bville. They have great service. Great food. They try to make customers feel welcome. I've heard they have trivia nights and really focus on the customer experience. I personally love the Korean pork shank bowl. The various Mac and cheese bowls look amazing and could feed two people easily. Several of the appetizers are great too. The restaurant had a cool vibe, and menu looked good. I Was in town on January 18th. After looking for restaurants new hotel I found this one. After only eating breakfast earlier in the morning I was very hungry by dinner time and the pot roast sounded good. I had pot roast with the mashed potatoes and added a side salad with vinegrette dressing. The gravy was cold, and the roast beef was only warm, but I was hungry and ate it. Within couple hours of getting back to my hotel I knew I had food poisoning, as I have had it 2 other times in my life and it's a feeling you don't forget. Misery ensued for the next 24 hours, and had to cancel travel plans because my only appt I had was with the restroom every 10-15 minutes. I will never eat cold gravy or probably roast beef again. Again I had not eaten lunch during my travel so I'm pretty sure it was the roast beef. On the upside though, my abs are feeling very toned after hrs of dry heaving, and with my dehydration, I must say that I notice my 6 pack is back. read more

For the price that was paid, the sides should have been good. Everything on the plate was brown. I had to ask the waitress what was on the plate. The potatoes were disgusting looking and were completely overdone mush. Mushy even though they were very brown. The Brussels sprouts had a balsamic drench so they were very brown. Tasted okay but not great. They really should think about what the overall plate looks like. It's going to taste better if it looks like something you want to eat. A plate needs more color. Baked potatoes go with steak and look more pleasing. A salad would be refreshing. Don't think we will return. read more
