Then took a 1-hour lunch break after arriving hours late. The next day, they painted my gutters when the temperature outside too cold. The paint didn't stick and it left streak marks. The paint on the fascia was also visibly uneven. They said it would all be fixed the next day. The next day, no one showed up. The owner said that she, the painter, and helper were all sick. They said they would come the following day at 9am with two extra guys to help finish the job. At 9am the next day I received a text from the painter saying his help bailed on him. I texted the owner and expressed my frustration with their tardiness and no-shows. Meanwhile, the painter is texting me saying he will be there in the afternoon, and if not today, then tomorrow. I texted him and the owner and said that if no one shows up today, I will have to hire someone else to do the work. The owner said that she was on her way. Then an hour later texted and said she thinks I should just pay her for the work that was already completed. I tried to be as patient and understanding as possible but the level of unprofessionalism and poor quality of work was just much to deal with.

The owner "David" told me to my face that if I have any problems in the next 6-8 months because there were already issues with runs all over the gutters, he will fix any issues. The owner has refused to come out and look at the problems. He told me that he would send a worker out for only one day to fix the issue without coming out himself to see the extent of the issue. He also stated that the finish may not look the same. When I asked why not, he replied that the worker would be rolling or brushing the areas and not spraying them which was how the house was painted in these areas. He did not want the worker spending the time setting up and using the sprayer because it costs more. He stated that he could not send a worker out for more than one day due to labor costs. There is no way that these repairs could be fixed in one day. There is blistering on the front of my home, so he is telling me that I and everybody driving by would be able to see the repair because the paint will not look the same. One month went by with no response. I called David and left a message. He did not return my call. I then text him 3 days later and asked him to call me and not text me so that we could talk about how to fix these repairs and that if I did not hear from him, I was going to have to hire an attorney. I paid over $12,000 to CK painting. He text me back(would not call me) and said he has done everything that he could do and that it is a paint issue and to take it up with Sherwin Williams. He knows that the paint warrantee goes with the buyer of the paint, NOT the home in which he is painting which means the warrantee goes with him and not me. David is not a man of his word. Once the job is done and he is paid, if any issues come up, you are on your own. He is not worried about customer satisfaction.

If paneling is replaced, it also needs to be painted. You're saying that that's considered "extra?" Give me a break. Replacing boards, caulking and sanding require painting to finish the job. You thought it would be a good idea to match the rest of the walls? Are you serious? Painting the paneling was part of the job! Oh my gosh. And yes, my property management company was well aware of this. You told me you needed the caulk to dry and would finish the job in the next day or two. Never returned. I never asked for the window frame to be fixed. You told me it was an issue and honestly all I wanted was the paneling replaced and painted. You arrived way later than scheduled that day (thankfully I was still home when you arrived that day) and as for my mom's number...yes, you do have that because she is the lease holder so all business is navigated through her before me. Before this visit, she let me know every single time you contacted her and I scheduled accordingly, so stop the false information. She also told me SHE had to reach out to you because you pulled a disappearing act and wouldn't answer your phones and when you finally did, you made excuse after excuse. You told her you were moving and got busy. You NEVER once tried to reschedule a visit. I never said you could stay that late, but I didn't think I had much choice since you were late arriving for the job and it had to be finished. What was I supposed to do, kick you out before the job was completed? I guess the jokes on me now. The fascia was supposed to be replaced and (guess what?) painted, but you somehow managed to get the paint color completely wrong. All you had to do was bring in a paint chip to Lowe's/Home Depot. You painted a brown/gray fascia stark white. Not sure how you managed to do that. You can make these outrageous excuses all you want, but you know darn well what you did wrong. You also used my children's bathroom which is unprofessional. Didn't come prepared. Left a mess in my front yard. A garbage bag full of rotted wood laying on my back patio. A caulking gun, dirty towels and paint scrapers laying in my grass (which I stepped on, as mentioned). And there is dried spackle/caulk/whatever it is dripping off my walls and door frame and is all over my floor. You also unscrewed nails that you left exposed, sticking out of my walls. You moved none of my furniture back, didn't clean anything up and lost the screws for my outlet cover. Why do you think I'd want you to return? I certainly will not recommend you to anyone and will be sure to let people in the area know how yall did me dirty. I'm not stupid and I don't appreciate being lied about. My rental company is aware you left the job incomplete and they have assigned us new vendors to take over. You have a blessed day!‍
