If you really want to hear more about it, I went to this place called Paisano's Pizza Grill, but I don't feel much like going into it, if you want to know the truth. It's the kind of joint that tries so hard to look like an authentic, cozy neighborhood pizza place, but the whole setup just smacks strip mall lot. ​The waiter came over trying to act all slick and friendly, asking how my day was going in that phony voice people use on me. I just ordered a pepperoni pizza and a side of wings because I didn't feel like getting into a whole conversation with him. ​When the food came out, I sunk my teeth into the crust. It had a nice bit of crisp to it, and the cheese was hot and greasy in a way that actually tasted pretty good if you didn't think too much about what it was doing to your stomach. The wings were okay, kinda too saucy though and they gave me this tiny plastic cup of ranch that looked like it was a little tired. That's the thing about a place like this, the food itself is decent enough to keep you from walking out,maybe walking back in if you really hit the order correctly. My friend loves it here, they've got all these corny pictures on the wall trying to make it look like some classic Italian joint, but you can tell it's just designed to make you feel like a part time Italian. ​I'll give it three and a half stars out of five, mostly because the pizza was actually pretty decent and I was starving. Well I tried Paisanos for the first time today and got what was the worst customer service Ever ! I was greeted or not greeted by a young lady who had the most hateful expression on her face . No smile , all frowns and asked me " what do you want " with no expression whatsoever. She rung up my order with no response but the amount , slammed the drawer with no " you're welcome . If you're looking for a good pizza spot on James Island Paisano's is the place to go. That being said the interior is a bit rough so I would order out. The prices are great, the kitchen staff quick to make your order and the delivery drivers are even faster and always pleasant (please please tip your drivers! They work hard!) So after church I walked into Paisano's Pizza after passing by for years i was fretted by their friendly staff with a pleasant smile. I told her I was from NYC and wanted to try their Chicken Parmigiana sandwich. Well it didn't disappoint!! The sandwich was full of cut up chicken smothered in sauce and topped with Mozzarella cheese, delicious!! Service was quick, staff friendly and their dining area takes you back to the NYC styled leather half circle tables with arcade games. Wow some of the better takeout pizza I've had. The Holy City Hot is a must-try. Pickles on pizza just work and that chicken is so, so good. The Green Thumb was devoured by everyone before I even had a chance to taste it so I assume it was also tasty. Even the cheese pizza had me thinking I was eating a slice from a New York City joint. Visited Paisano's Pizza Grill on Camp Rd. James Island for the first time. We walked in and the place was packed. Based on the crowd, we thought we made a good choice for dinner. If you're looking for a nice quiet place to relax and enjoy a good pizza, this is not the place. There is a game room in one part of the restaurant. Parents just let their kids run wild with no supervision. The resturant was noisy and not relaxing at all. We ordered a large cheese pizza and a Greek salad. We had about a 40 minute wait for our food. When the food arrived, we were not impressed. The pizza was very crusty with a lack of sauce. The Greek salad was not a typical Greek salad, no kalamata olives, no feta cheese and the dressing provided was lack luster. I probably will not return to this place. read more

After the Hurricane Helene blew through, we lost power. I needed some comfort food and immediately thought...pizza! I decided to try Paisano's Pizza Grill on James Island. The place was packed! Seems like we all had the same idea. This place is in a strip plaza, so there is plenty of parking. You will also find plenty of seating inside (2 rooms) as well as outdoor seating. The menu is huge! They have lots of appetizers like wings, fries, nuggets, and mozzarella sticks. They offer a variety of salads that can be eaten as a main meal or smaller side salad. You can select from gourmet pizzas or build your own. If pizza isn't your thing, they have several options for calzones. They sell alcohol to enjoy with your meal. Now, the atmosphere is like a Chuck E Cheese. Screaming kids, game room with lots of noise. It's like a nightmare. I couldn't relax or hear the conversation at our table. And the kids running around almost knocked food out of my hands. No one seemed to think this was a bad thing, so I guess that's normal for this place. I ordered a cheese pizza and a small Greek salad. The pizza crust tasted like cardboard, and there wasn't enough sauce. The top 3" of each slice had no sauce or cheese, so I just threw that out. It was gross. The Greek salad was not a Greek salad as it had mozzarella cheese and no kalamata olives as described on the menu. The wait staff was polite, and there were a lot of staff, but clearly over whelmed and not doing quality checks. I won't be back. Poor experience and not worth what I spent that night. read more

We've eaten here several times as a family and have always had a good meal. Wings are always very good. I prefer the Nashville Hot wings. Pizza is good. Crust is crispy, and cheese is perfect. This is not NY pizza, but it's still good. One person at our table had the chicken bacon ranch pizza. He has it wherever it is offered. He said this one is one of the best. Blue Chips as an appetizer is always a hit at our table. Mild buffalo sauce may be too hot for some people. It's actually not spicy enough for me. I typically turn it up. Another plus is that you can have a beer with your pizza. Inside is a little dark but clean. There are quite a few tables inside and a few outside. Counter service was great. Food came out quick. Everything was hot and delicious. Food runner to the table seemed a bit off her game today, but everyone has an off day. read more

We decided to check out this pizza joint based on google reviews and distance. It was approximately 1:15 pm and after church. We were originally going to go elsewhere but the reviews were not as good. As we approached the counter, a man offered us a menu. We decided on a medium size, one side half pepperoni and half mushrooms-basil on the other side. However when we placed our order, the lady at the counter wasn't friendly, when I asked her a few questions about the pizza and drinks, she had a bit of an attitude and was coarse with her response. Pizza was decent, I found it to be flavorful, crust was good. I will look for another joint with friendly service and good pizza, there are so many places to choose from and still looking. read more

The fat boy square pizza was just ok, not bad, but not memorable. The NY chopped salad was also good, but not great. There was something off about the onions, however it was not inedible. Simple good pizza. We go between the "Fat Boy" and the normal crust. The have Salads, Sandwiches, Wings (we love the hot garlic and lemon pepper). There a few beers on tap, and some very limited bottled wine. They stay busy on weekends especially, or game nights. We have been coming here since we moved to James Island 12 years ago, and they will treat you like family once they get to know you. Delivery and pickup available. Always have, from way back when I used to order pizza at 2am up to now when I like to eat fried avocado and salad at 9pm and go straight to bed :) seriously though, fried avocado is a newer menu item and it is DELICIOUS. Best appetizer on the menu. They're slightly spicy so my son won't eat them (why are kids so picky) but that means more for me... They also have a good cheesy bread appetizer which is more like a huge pizza size cheese pizza just without marinara sauce. It's a pretty good deal, I think $8. Their salads are also very good, large and shareable and have lots of veggies included. I highly recommend this place for some takeout or a family pizza night. Good food, pretty good prices. This was the star of the show. If we ever get back, we will only order the fat boy style. Deep dish, lots of sauce and cheese and just oh so good. Not sure if their sausage is house made - sure tasted like it. Wings - we got 3 flavors of 10 each 1 - Atomic - We like things very spicy. Calling these 'atomic' is just not fair to the word. We all agreed that a better word is medium. I think they should truly kick these up a few notches and truly make them atomic. 2 - Crajun - a dry rub mixture of Cajun and ranch. Very flavorful. Excellent. 3 - Cajun - a dry rub as well. This was our favorite. Quite flavorful indeed. All wings were cooked well and still juicy. We got blue cheese with all 3 batches of wings.
