My husband, a friend of ours (who is local) and I decided to get paletas since it was a warm day. And our friend told us that La Michoacana is one of the best places for paletas (which surprised me since La Michoacana is also in the US). When we arrived, one employee behind the counter greeted us right away. I ended up getting a strawberry with pine nuts paleta (or popsicle), which cost a little less than $2 USD. I really liked it. I normally only use pine nuts in a recipe (to make pesto and have also on occasion ate them as is) but it was nice in this popsicle. I liked that added texture it gave. My husband picked a mango paleta with chile with he liked (also cost less than $2 USD). He enjoyed it. I don't recall the popsicle that my friend picked (and yes this was also less than $2 USD) but she also enjoyed it as well. But because she was so busy talking to us, her popsicle was melting all over her hands (lol). But since we were still right by La Michoacana, we walked back to get napkins for her. It is nice that this La Michoacana is similar to the stores back home in the US (but the size is smaller but also does cost less too). Also it seems like there is plenty of variety at both stores either here in Mexico City or in the US. But I believe there is a different variation of flavors that I have not seen in the US. Overall this was a positive experience. The employee helping us was very friendly and very nice. Please note that this location accepts both cash and credit card.
