I have 2 kids who attend Palisades, and we love it so much! The community at Palisades is what I love most about this school. The parents and the teachers and administrators are very involved in the students' success. The PTA puts on a lot of fun events- both learning (like Mad Science Guy assembly) and "just-for-fun" types of events like Funky Friday, Fun on the Run Truck, Family events like After School Art, Lunch with a Loved One, and the Foundation is so supportive with after school programs (like Moana Musical, After School Art, Science, and other initiatives to improve the quality of education and experience with the school. The counselor is very active with the kids like Lunch with the Counselor to learn social-emotional skills, Mental Health Awareness Month, spirit days etc. We were a little hesitant to enroll at first, but we are so glad we did! read more

We have had our children enrolled at Palisades for the past 5 years and we have loved every bit of it. The school lays at the top of a bluff with an incredible view of the ocean from the school grounds. It is also located conveniently at the end of the street that we live on and we really enjoy the luxury of walking to school. The teachers and faculty are welcoming, warm and supportive. Parent involvement is very strong and encouraged. The school events are plentiful and always so fun and well attended. We truly love Palisades Elementary and feel lucky that our children are apart of this wonderful community. read more

As a grandparent, it was incredibly difficult to see my grandchild struggling at their previous school. They often came home feeling anxious and left out. Since transferring to Palisades, the change has been truly heartwarming. The staff go above and beyond to make every child feel seen, safe, and supported--not just academically, but emotionally as well. One of the biggest standouts has been the school's counseling program. Mrs. Gavrila, the school counselor, is warm, attentive, and always available when my grandchild needs someone to talk to. She offers wonderful programs like Lunch Bunch, where students can build friendships in a safe and fun setting, and Kindness Waves, which encourages empathy and compassion across the campus. Her monthly counseling newsletters are also filled with great tips and resources for families. The school's strong focus on social-emotional learning and inclusive community values has made all the difference. For the first time in a long time, my grandchild is excited to go to school--and as a grandparent, that means everything to me. We're so thankful to be part of the Palisades family. read more

Our kid is just finishing up her third year at Palisades (K - 2nd) and is excited to come back to 3rd grade in the fall. We love the neighborhood school feel of Palisades where most parents are extremely involved in all the school activities, fundraising, and the school community. The teachers, school staff, and Principal Bailey are dedicated to the success of students and wonderful to work with. The school (official school + PTA + foundation) supports kids' learning by offering different programs such as science, music, theatre, art, etc. during and after school hours. It really takes a village to raise a child and I am so thankful to have our kid attend Palisades. read more

Palisades is the best little school. Every morning we walk down the hill from our house and see the ocean, I think about how lucky we are to live here and have this school right in our neighborhood. There is such a great sense of community. It's small so the kids all know each other. The teachers know all the kids. The principal is very involved. Parents are all friends with each other. PTA is GREAT! There are so many wonderful opportunities, including free theater, art, and STEM programs after school. There is great special ed support and engagement. I have 2 kids that go to Palisades, one in fourth and one in second grade. They both started going since kindergarten and so far both them and I have loved it. The teachers and staff are amazing and the growth I've seen year to year and my children is unbelievable. From the room parents, to the PTA, and the Foundation - we have a heavily involved group of parents who know our students and teachers. Palisades Elementary School is absolutely amazing. My child attends kindergarten and his teacher is so dedicated to his education in every way possible. Her lessons are engaging and meaningful. She provides him with love and attention. He is thriving! We feel so supported by the administration and office staff. The personal connections made are tremendous. The school is beautiful, has a wonderful view of the ocean, is located in the heart of the neighborhood so many families walk or ride bikes to school every day. We have had such a positive experience at Palisades from our start 3 years ago. The teachers and staff are wonderful. Seeing the impact on our kids growth and development and bonds they build with them is so special. The PTA and Palisades Foundation provide so many fun activities and programs beyond the classroom for the kids too. I'm always blown away by the commitment and support of our community to make Palisades extra special for these kids. Having the after school YMCA program on campus is also great for working parents. I have 2 kids currently attending school at Palisades Elementary. We just absolutely love it here. It's a beautiful campus and all the teachers and staff are so friendly. I have met so many amazing families here so far. I am originally from Texas and moved to California in 2018. It has been difficult meeting people. Palisades has made us feel like home. Our two boys are happy and thriving and learning more and more everyday. They go on fun field trips and there are always fun activities going on. We can't say enough good things about Palisades!
