Friendly and knowledgeable staff. The selection was extensive, and varied. Several meandering rooms with widely divergent aesthetics and tastes made Palm & Olive fun and memorable. Signage, books, ceramics, clothes, typical odds and ends and other knickknacks only found in antique stores, along with local art all makes for a great experience. i really hate to rate this antique shop 1 star but i was very disappointed based on the description of how things are "curated" for this shop & reviews below. i had imagined something entirely different. i have to say, staff here are ready to help for the most part but it was really hard looking through things. most sections were hard to squeeze through because of huge furniture items or pile ups of heavy unorganized junk that were stacked in the way. i was looking for vintage bags & found one section at the very back that had amazing, quality vintage clothing & handbags but what a mess! the bags were wedged in the back behind so much packed in clothing falling off the shelves to the floor behind crates which was hard to get behind. when i pulled out one of the bags by doing some yoga twists & poses, i was finally able to reach a vintage dooney & bourke for $450 in fair condition. not mint, excellent or even good condition - BUT FAIR - so the price point of $450 on that vintage dooney bag was ridiculous. everything felt dusty & grimy. i found 3 boxes of 1970's madame alexander dolls & had to open each box to see what was inside & one of them had a DEAD SPIDER on the doll's dress right when i lifted the lid. there were only a few sections that were well organized with figurine displays but everywhere else you had to hunt for things behind paintings placed on the floor (fire hazard). for example, i found a 12" composition shirley temple doll listed for $129 laying behind a large framed painting. if i hadn't moved the painting, i wouldn't have seen the doll laying there. & that describes how messy this place is. also, because of how the doll was just laying there, you'd think it was worth FIVE DOLLARS, not $129.00. i need to mention the music. i'm not usually bothered w/antique stores playing appropriate music for their shop but when we came in this day, some disturbing psychedelic chanting music was playing & it was BLARING through the speakers. this place isn't curated well at all. additionally, i left feeling like i needed a shower & was traumatized by the type of music playing. read more

Very messy and unorganized. It Some items they have labeled mint condition when they were very clearly water damaged and bent. Would have liked to negotiate and buy some of their products even though they were not so great condition. cashier started counting the items and tried to charge me over 100 bucks and when I asked if they would do a bundle deal I was told that they wouldn't be doing any deals at there store. At least take care of your items if you're gonna overcharge on them. read more

As a lover of old things, I enjoy perusing through vintage stores. I hadn't checked this one out yet- for some reason I always overlooked it! It wasn't until a friend of mine showed me a photo of a really cool mid-century console record player he purchased from here. I then was curious to see what other MCM items they had to offer. This store is pretty massive; it felt almost never ending. A true time capsule with really neat finds in great condition. I discovered a really cool sunburst mcm wall clock along with unique furniture and lamps. A little pricey, of course. Although, I did bite the bullet and purchased an MCM coffee table today. The owner had just brought it in and I knew I needed to snag it right away! For the style, quality and condition , a $200 price tag was a steal to me. George, the owner is a really cool guy. Very informative about the pieces he has to offer. I can tell he's passionate about his store. This one I will definitely frequent. read more

We were in the area and found this place on yelp. It has its own parking lot. This place is definitely under rated. They have real antiques. The place looks small but it's kind of big inside. They had a fan running that was 70 years old. I was here for like 2 hours everything is unique and so beautiful. We found a radio that looks and sounds amazing. I'm going to be generous and give this place three stars. I stopped in years ago and had a pleasant enough peruse of lots and lots of vintage and antique items. My most recent visit - and last, I'm sure, was earlier this year. First the positives: this place is really big with lots of interesting items with a pretty good variety of price points. I won't be back because the most recent visit, I felt eyes on me the entire time and that was a complete turn off. Benefit of the doubt, the reason was the place was empty and the "workers" were bored. But I suspect my black husband was the reason. I had dragged him out of the house to go to some second hand stores to look for vintage planters only to be watched and monitored the entire time we're looking through the store. We stayed about 15 minutes and left. read more

By far my FAVORITE antique store in town. If you're looking for MCM and quirky, look no further. I have never left empty handed. So many rooms full of things, but not just things, THE best THINGS. From furniture, trinkets, clothing, dishwater, the list goes on and on this place has it. The owner's name is George, he is great!!! So personable and easy to talk to, makes you feel the most invited and comfortable. I just left and I'm looking forward to my next visit already! read more

I have been on the hunt for some jugs for my home and have probably been to at least 7 antique shops around the Fresno/Clovis area. This is the best shop hands down. The people there are so sweet, friendly, and informative. This is not your ordinary antique store it's genuinely a fun experience. If you do not have anything to do and like to antique please take the time to go visit. That store is absolutely amazing and has many things that cover each and every corner. A hugeee shop filled with awesome stuff! A variety of antiques from furniture to knick knacks, jewelry, dish ware, records and much much more! Susan one of the sellers, along with her husband, and the store owner were all very sweet and knew tons about the items for sale.
