I dealt with Glen Owen when I was doing my renovation. He is an abusive, foul mouthed man who…read morescreams and bullies his employees which makes it a very difficult environment to work under. When it came to dealing with his customers he is even worse. He screamed at me via a phone conversation for over 36 minutes, because I had repeated some negative information an electrical store had said about the cost of using him. He threatened to sue me and screamed at me while I tried to explain I had only repeated to another trade what was said to me out of concern at what I might be charged. Ironically the other trade was a friend of his, and then told him what had been said .. but had told Glen not to take the comments up with me, but with the electrical store that made the comments. I then told him i would no longer be using him to finish my electrical work and i would like a bill, to make matters worse, when he told me how much I owed him, I asked for a breakdown of the charges via an invoice, he screamed at me "people like me give him the shits" (actual quote). This is after barging into my home uninvited and without knocking. I had a terrible experience with this man ... after finally getting an invoice from his wife, I have also found he has overcharged for labour as well as equipment - so I refused to pay and this matter will be going in front of the courts. I am wanting the court to know about this man's bullyish arrogant behaviour - I think everyone should know what sort of man he is. I would certainly not recommend this vile man to anyone wanting an electrician in the tweed area. I should have listed to the electrical shop !!! They tried to warn me !! It was a nightmare .. and no-one should be abused and threatened like I was. The emotional turmoil and anxiety this has caused has directly affected my health and state of mind.

Nothing is too much effort for him and his staff. Glen is reliable and his rates are very reasonable in comparison to other electrical contractors out there. Glen has been in business for many years and has a very good name in the local area. I would highly recommend Glen and his courteous staff for any electrical works.
