The best eye doctors I've been to! The doctors and staff are educated in all areas regarding optometry and are friendly.

After checking my eyes, I was informed that the prescription for the glasses I was wearing were a little too strong. The doctor informed me that everything look good and he would not do any additional test because the nerve and eye pressure within the normal range. He did not try to milk the insurance company by doing unnecessary test and exams. It is very reassuring to see medical staff doing only what's necessary not trying to run up the bill. I highly recommend this establishment.

I told him that it looked red on the bottom of my lid and that it seems to be getting worse. He said it might be cellulitis of the eyelid and if it gets worse to call tomorrow for an antibiotic. My swelling got worse over night and this morning I call to explain the issue and they tell me that he is not in the office today. I was very upset. I spent 200 dollars on a visit and the best I got from the staff was they would let him know when he calls in. Why didn't dr Khouri let me know that he wasn't going to be in?? The staff is telling me I can have him prescribe an antibiotic in a couple of days. Are they kidding me??? Cellulitis is not something to mess around with and it needs to be treated promptly. Needless to say, I am very very upset with the care I received in this office. Should I receive my antibiotic today, I will gladly change the review. Because then it Means that dr Khouri did as he promised and I did not waste $200 for a visit without receiving the correct treatment.

This past week,on a Sunday ,I woke up with a very painful eye, I had scratched my eye in the night and I had an abrasion and it was killing me! They went to Great lengths to get me in right away. I called them late Sunday and they said call back early Monday, but they called me first and got me right in. Dr V saw me three times and alleviated my pain and fixed me right up with drops. I was very grateful that they saw me right away immediately, knew what it was and prescribed the right medicine for me and got me out of my burning pain with speed! I went to his offices both in West Palm Beach and Jupiter, and everything went very smoothly. Marla Kletter

As a millennial who still relies on friendly reminders from my mother to make sure I'm taking care of myself, I booked an eye exam with For Eyes thinking I'd get a quick exam, a contact lens prescription for the year, and be good until the following year. Boy was I in for a surprise. I left For Eyes with $79 spent and a bad contact prescription I could barely see out of while driving home. When I called for a follow-up to fix the prescription, I was given an appointment further out than I preferred, especially since I was out of contacts and only had one ill-fitting pair. The next day at work I began to feel irritation in my right eye, removed my contact for relief, and the irritation persisted. I knew MedExpress or a walk-in clinic wouldn't help, so at 7 a.m. Wednesday I logged into my insurance platform to find a more well-versed eye care facility. Mittleman Eye came up in my search, and by 8 a.m. I was sitting in their office prepared to figure out what was going on. The facility is beautiful, well staffed, and very clean. I was greeted by friendly employees and felt like my issue was handled with thought and care. My appointment wasn't rushed, and the doctors and nurses quickly identified my issue and offered solutions to address my eye pain. I was diagnosed with a corneal ulcer in my right eye, and the doctors were very informative about what treatment would look like over the next few days and they started me on antibiotic drops. Around 7 p.m. Wednesday, I realized my prescriptions still hadn't been filled. After calling the pharmacy, I learned they weren't processing it because the number of doses per day was missing. I called the emergency after-hours line, worried I wouldn't be able to continue antibiotics until after work the next day. Not only did a doctor call me back within the hour (8 p.m.), he called Publix pharmacy directly, and they had my prescription ready in 10 minutes! Just in time for me to pick it up before closing and get a few rounds of drops in before bed. My follow up appointment today was scheduled for 2:30pm. I was seen by the doctor around 3:50pm. An excruciating wait but I was notified that they were behind when I was checked in. However, when I was seen I experienced the same informative, kind and friendly service as before. Although having a corneal ulcer is one of the worst imaginable experiences, Mittleman Eye has handled me with so much care. I am incredibly grateful I found them. Once my eye has healed, I fully intend to remain a patient and receive my ongoing eye care here.

He saved my wife's vision from a retinal detachment by immediately accepting an emergency appointment for which he evaluated and sent her to a retinal specialist. Dr Khouri then did her cataract surgery a few months following. Now I am in Dr. Khouri's care myself with upcoming cataract surgery in both eyes. I wouldn't think of having this done by any other doctor. My wife and I are so very grateful for Dr. Khouri and trust him completely.

My LASEK (with an E) was performed quickly and professionally by Dr George Khouri and the other staff at VIP Laser Eye Center. I will simply say this, everything went as well as one could have hoped. My vision is amazing, my eyes feel amazing, the level of care- Amazing. Both pre and post surgery. I ended up with 20/10 vision and I swear colors are more vibrant. I feel like telling the world. At 33, I didn't know what to expect as a result. Maybe 20/20 at best but I never imagined it to be this good! Keep in mind that the first week after surgery is the worst of it, and for me that was only a few days of slight to moderate discomfort. Nothing extreme. Only on my 2nd night through 4th nights did I have some times where I would wake up and need some more Keterolac and eye drops.

I did not need readers for my phone, computer, or daily work. My job requires me to be on a phone and computer about 8 hours a day, so near vision is extremely important to me. After surgery, my near vision is significantly worse and now I need readers just to function at work. Never once was it clearly explained to me that correcting my farsightedness/distance vision at my age could make my close vision worse or cause me to need readers. If I had been clearly told that, it absolutely would have affected my decision. In my opinion, the office seemed much more focused on selling me LASIK than making sure I fully understood the risks and lifestyle tradeoffs. This was not a small detail -- needing readers all day for work is a major change in my quality of life. I understand there is a healing period, but my issue is with the lack of clear counseling before the procedure. Patients deserve to know if a surgery could leave them worse off for the things they do every day. At this point, I am requesting my full records, including my consent forms, pre-op prescription, surgical target for each eye, post-op measurements, and any documentation showing whether readers, presbyopia, monovision, or blended vision were actually discussed with me before surgery. Very disappointed and would strongly caution anyone considering LASIK here to ask very specific questions before agreeing to anything.
