I have been tanning at this location and the one on Stucki since they opened. As times when on trips/vacations, I would take breaks. Always had outstanding results and love the staff always and once knew the owner. In the past 2 + years I removed my membership thinking I was getting older. You should cancel your package and find ANYWHERE else to go spray tan! There are many other choices that spray you beautifully, have product and colors in stock and is worth your money and time your spending to look beautiful. Not only do you pay monthly to spray, this location and Tanasbourne are often out of stock of colors, leaving you to spray something unknown and often not getting what you paid for. Palm Beach Tan not only charges you monthly, but you pay per visit and per color. If they are out of stock of a color (and it's OFTEN) you STILL PAY for a "backup" color. Yuck! it would serve the customer/client better if they are out of stock, they comp you. Sadly, it's about making money at these locations and not making you feel beautiful for your already monthly payment. I've been a client for far too long, time to change and tell others to switch to some where better too! Won't come to this location because of her. I am dark skinned colored women. And she only said I can go up two minutes each day. Never heard of this. Had a good few experiences until tonight. Girl operating the place charges me $20 for a tan and then tells me because I haven't been in for 6 weeks, she can only run the bed for maximum 7 minutes. It's a 15 minute bed. I walked in already tan and I'm Hawaiian. She continued that because it's been 6 weeks, more than 7 minutes is a liability for them. Black hair, brown eyes and tan skin plus I'm 45 and think I know my skin type by now in a bed. I declined paying full price for less than half the time in the bed. 7 minutes wouldn't have even penetrated my skin. Won't be back. read more

Been going here for years. .......... luv all the locations been to them all now except sunny side oh and gateway. But I will here shortly. Only had three bad experiences in the 8-9years I have been a solid Loyal customer. Why I loved the old days of Club Tan ......only because they were 24hrs Lol. I would just hate to know how much i have actually spent here in the last 9years. Think I'd drop dead , That actually terrifies me to think about ..... if you get what I'm saying it's not cheap I pay over $100 a month and then on top of that I still got to pay more just to get a spray tan I want ......then there's the damn lotion that you pay an arm and a leg for but that's just how tanning is .......... Finally time to write a review for my fav spot to relax and get some "sun". Five stars is earned, and I believe this Palm Beach is the best in the metro, the only 5str worthy! Trust me! Tanning is an art.... The girls are very attentive to your needs, they let you know when there are specials on tanning lotions and such, but don't push it as other ick tanning places like to do. Very clean rooms, you won't find a dirty anything here, it has a great easy spa vibe. All in all a great place to start the summer off right. I went into Palm Beach Tan to get information on prices and packages. The lady at the front desk greeted me and was friendly. I explained the tanning salon I went to had closed and I was looking for a new place to start tanning. She asked what type of beds I was used to and then showed me the package options. She explained the current offers that were available. I thanked her for the information and told her I'd think about it. She said to call if I had any questions - That's it!! She let me leave without purchasing a package. She didn't offer some other new special not previously mentioned. She didn't try to get me to buy anything! (If you've shopped around, then you know what I mean). It was an amazing experience. I would have purchased at the time, but I just wanted to see if she was going to chase me out to my car haha. I'll preface this by saying that every last one of these tanning places offer the same 'experience' - this was just the worst of the lot. After a steady month of rain in December, I'd looked online for a place to tan on the cheap - three or four sessions; on demand - that sort of thing. Something to boost the ol' Vitamin D and make the skin feel a bit better. These folks offered a $21.00-and-change basic package. I decided to go in and see about it. By the time my discussion with the counterperson was done, the 'offer' had ballooned to over $200, including a 'set up fee'. "Have a nice daa-aay!" was the almost-mocking parting statement (made to my back as I left.) Observation: I don't know why there isn't a pay-as-you-go tanning place in the area, and why *all* of these places play a bait-and-switch/upsell-the-hell-out-of-you game. But they do. (Organic, easily-assimilated Vitamin D is available from several stores in the area. I'm taking some now.) read more

As far as value for your money, Palm Beach is the way to go. The girls are friendly and helpful and the beds are big which is awesome because I am six feet tall. I feel like I need to mention however the earlier reviewer who stated that they were rude when she mentioned the facial lamps that was only half true... I was sitting in the waiting room at the time and the girl stated that she knew one was out but thanked the guest for letting her know about the other being out as well but she shouldn't need to worry so much because the filter, etc. and to be fair I felt the guest was not exactly kind when she let her know (seemed she was having a bad day) and the girl at the counter wasn't overly warm in response, but not exactly rude. You get what you put out into the world and the girl was just doing her job. Such a small thing to get so angry over IMO. But back to the store in general they aren't overly pushy about lotion sales but do mention it fairly often, and I've always encountered friendly service at least at this location! I even dropped my ID and the girl made sure to get it back to me before I went out the door. Keep up the good work, ladies. read more

The one lady, Meghan I think, always tries to sell me something, tells me 'i won't get anything out of my tan' if I don't use the $$ products in the PBT line. I like the other locations! If you have a tanning membership with Palm Beach Tan, I would recommend canceling and taking your business elsewhere. This company CONSISTENTLY displays the worst customer service I have ever received in the tanning industry. After calling and double checking holiday hours, I commuted out to the salon after putting my tanning lotions to find the doors locked. I now wasted time and money using my lotions without being able to tan. I am extremely disappointed and will not be using any Palm Beach Tan salons ever again. read more

Love my girls at Palm Beach! I have been tanning here every summer for 4 years and have never been disappointed. Good selection of beds and diversity of packages. Their lower level beds are still large with good ventilation and face bulbs. As with any salon, expensive lotions will be pushed but all of the lotion they do sell is high quality and they are very knowledgable about the products the carry. The salon is always spotless and the staff is very professional and friendly! I won't ever go anywhere else! read more

This is my favorite PBT location. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, and they always have recommendations on products and which beds I should use to get the results I want. They don't pressure me into anything I don't want, and treat me like a friend, not a customer. Also, the beds here are great. I have tried going to other locations that are closer to my work in NW Portland, but this one is so much better that I make the 20-30 minute drive to go see them instead. The only thing I would change is that the lotion they offer is on the expensive side, but it is really good lotion. read more

I forgot how much I enjoy the tan but never have enjoyed any of the places I've tanned. I had been a member for about one year. They claimed my credit card expired, so I owed an extra $10. My card never expired. I just hadn't been in for about 3 weeks. I cancelled my membership and feel that they claimed my credit was expired, so they could get an extra $10 fee from me. They never sent me an email about my account. I should have posted a review of this store a year ago when the event occurred but I ddin't know of this site. I bought a sunless tanning package and on my 2nd visit about a half hour to closing time, I had taken off my diamond heart pendant before entering the machine and forgot it on the table. I remembered at 5 a.m. the next day and called the store immediately as it opened. I was told it was not found. When I got to the store that night there was a long wait for beds but no one waiting for a spray tan. They tried to tell me that a customer must have taken it but it was in plain sight for anyone who would have been cleaning the room to have seen. Due to other circumstances of the visit as well, I have no doubt that an employee stole the necklace. My package included 3 tans and I was sick to my stomach when I had to go back into that place to use that 3rd tan so as not to waste or lose anymore money there. My husband bought me that necklace after our 2nd child was born, it is very sentimental and makes me ill to think of it to this day, and why I still felt it important to post this review. Worst company ever! They not only overcharged my mothers account for tanning then we're so rude when she tried to fix it they now over charged my 17 year old daughter then managed to squeeze another $75 out of her right before prom she is in tears! My attorney will be contacted. read more
