At the parts department, I wanted a new battery because I have a lifetime guarantee for my battery in my records. A guys service asked me: Where is your car ? I said in the parking lot. He told me "I need your car to come here and go to the service department to take an appointment; they will fix your car." Outside, it was heavy raining 4:32 pm, how I can drive my car without a battery? I bought 2 new cars in here and many times for services, but today I feel bad with the rules not being flexible. Buyer beware!!! Last month we bought our daughter a RAV4 from Palm Beach Toyota for her birthday. We negotiated an OUT-THE-DOOR PRICE -- tax, tag, title, and every nonsense fee they could dream up. We wrote a check, signed all paperwork with their finance manager, and were sent home with a temporary tag and the promise that the permanent plate would be mailed. Fast forward to today: the temp tag expired LAST WEEK and no plate ever arrived. After repeated calls, I finally reach the finance manager and am told we "owe" another $266, which is why they never sent the tag. Let me be very clear: Out-the-door deal Signed "we owe / you owe" paperwork Paid in full No disclosure of additional balance No plate mailed No notification Finance manager position? "If you want the plate, you'll have to pay the balance." So now my daughter is driving with an EXPIRED temporary tag because Palm Beach Toyota is holding her license plate hostage after closing a paid-in-full deal. This is either gross incompetence or intentional bad-faith business practices -- neither is acceptable. Next stop: Penske Automotive Group corporate, followed by the State of Florida, DMV, and anyone else who thinks this behavior is normal. Quick Overview: Technicians Ability: Poor Service Cost: Poor Customer Service: Good I'd like to stay civil during review but realistically they deserve all the low reviews they get. I spent three hours under my car getting the oil filter out. The technicians here over-tightened it to the point I had to pierce the canister to get it removed. It even got stripped when using a specialized socket. They didn't use a crusher washer either for the drain plug. On top of that they lost one of the screws that hold the plastic undercarriage cover on. I'll do your oil change and assorted maintenance for free (parts not included) just so they don't get paid, that's how much I hate this place. I originally purchased my car here a few years ago, brand new . The process itself was the usual dog-water dealership back and forth, overcharging for things that aren't expensive. Inflating costs, etc. I needed that car and a used one was just about as expensive. We eventually settled on a price. Within a few months of getting the car the battery stopped working, likely due to low quality control during Covid. They replaced it, no charge. When it came time to replace the battery due to age I had to haggle them a bit to actually get a decent price. Overall their customer service is ok/good. They're not rude but they can be misleading and try to get you to overpay for things. For example they charged me about $300 one time to replace my cabin air filter, which takes five minutes to do. I have done it myself, my mistake was in OKing the work over the phone when I wasn't really listening or thinking. The part itself from them costs about $30 and the labor literally takes five minutes to complete. I've done it myself a few times when deep cleaning the car. I've always done my own maintenance and repairs being poor and all. This place is a top notch waste of your money, just buy your parts from the online shop when they're on sale and go to a reputable mechanic, stay far away from this place they have no idea what they're doing and will potentially do more harm to your vehicle than good. Toyota has become slop, a sticker rather than the example of quality they used to be. Slowly become trash like everything else, at the very least this and the 441 dealer aren't doing it any favors. My mistake for wanting convenience and trusting someone to do their job correctly for once in my life. My mistake for wanting to just not have to do everything myself. read more

I took my Toyota in for wheel alignment and when I picked it up , my dash cam had been disconnected in three places, I wonder what they were trying to hide?? Great dealership! I had such a positive and efficient experience here starting with Ed Osborne assisting me right away, helping me find and test drive the right car. He was also very patient with helping me figure out all the right buttons on the new Crown model. This car is the smoothest, quietest and most efficient car I've ever driven. Afterwards, David helped me get all the financials sorted quickly and answered all of my questions. I drove about an hour from home to this dealership to get a new lease and I don't regret it one bit. They have great service and a wide variety of automobiles. The dealership is beautiful, very clean and professional, filled with very helpful staff. My only complaint is the lack of cell signal inside the building (we were told it's due to the airport proximity) and the lack of insurance specialists. We spent an hour on the phone outside the building in the summer heat with our insurance trying to add my new car to the policy. That was the only frustrating part of the entire visit. read more

Terrible customer service over the phone! I called to get service started on my husband's vehicle that was towed there because of a blown tire and i was told they did not have our vehicle. Without any further explanation the lady told me she would call me back in 30 minutes. Fast forward 3 hours later and no call back so i call again and this time i am put on with a guy from the service department who was very rude and basically tried to make it into my fault that they couldn't find our vehicle. After they found our vehicle they were extremely rude over the phone. I have yet to pick up our vehicle, i hope the customer service is better in person because the service i received over the phone and the way i was talked to were totally out of line. Showed up for appointment and Had to wait 1.5 hours before started service. Management excuse is that they were busy. advisors there are only about how much money they can get from you , I have a dealer maintenance plan with them and my first experience with getting my car serviced was horrendous , they refused to do their due diligence and look up my maintenance plan and (argued) with me that I didn't have one until I had to put foot to ass and talk with the finance manager who quickly found my maintenance plan and got everything situated, service line manager (can't remember his name) was telling me nothing but excuses for the way his advisors handled things , absolutely pathetic, second time I came to get my car serviced I just needed my tires rotated, had a scheduled appointment and was there for almost three hours! for a simple tire rotation, and finally yesterday I had to get my car serviced for a transmission fluid exchange, big service almost $700 , I get my car back and my dash cam was unplugged from the dash itself and from the 12v plug , I highly recommend not coming to this Toyota for any type of service they are money hungry and they do not care about their customers or the customers concerns, I'm still waiting for them to call me back on why they thought it was appropriate to touch anything in my car besides driving it to work on it , biggest disappointment read more

My daughter is a student at Palm Beach Atlantic. She had a piece of metal in her tire so I sent her to Toyota because we thought we could trust them. We are very faithful Toyota customers. We have 5 Toyota vehicles and it is the only vehicles we purchase. She arrived with the damaged tire and was using the spare. On speakerphone, the tech said she needs 4 new tires. I knew this was incorrect because the tires are not that old. She sent pictures of all the tires. I confirmed with our local Toyota dealership that she had PLENTY of use left on her current tires. On speakerphone a second time, the tech said she really needs all new tires. I thanked him and said please just put the one new on. They ordered the tire and several hours later she went back and paid for the single tire. This was about a month ago. We are 12 hours apart so this weekend I finally saw her and as we always do, I looked her car over before leaving. I checked her tire pressure and every tire except the new one was set to 42 psi which was WAY above what they were when we brought them in with the issue. The recommended pressure from Toyota factory was 32 psi. I called someone twice to speak about it and nobody returned my call. This is completely reckless and IMO they added too much air to her tires to increase the wear on them. We knew the pressure before the tire was on and three tires getting about 10 psi added is not coincidence. read more

It gets worse! - I purchased a 2012 model year car and purchased a full-service contract for 8 years of coverage. Palm Beach Toyota BACK DATED the warranty with a generic date indicating I purchased the vehicle in 2012 when I purchased it in 2015! I called the warranty company and you could even hear it in the representative's voice how despicable a mistake it was. She could only apologize and it's not even her fault. Now I have a head gasket failure on a vehicle with under 100k miles. Folks, I hope this helps somebody avoid the troubles this dealership has caused me. I have been bringing my truck here for several years with no issues but suddenly if there is a little bit of weight to the back they will not service it. I'm expected to remove everything from the back of the vehicle in order for it to be as light as possible for them to service it. This has never been an issue for the last two years. The truck had 240lb of salt in the bed. I had already removed 200lb to reduce the weight but it was apparently still not enough. Complete waste of time bringing my vehicle here to be told sorry we will not service it. When they do service your vehicle and you then have a leak in your tire after they did a simple tire rotation that's another story from the last time they actually did take it in. Somehow they managed to bend the rim while doing a tire rotation as it never had a leak until they serviced it. Ended up bringing the truck in for three weekend's straight to get it sorted out. Save your time and money, find a reputable service company that actually cares about their customers time and their vehicle. read more

Went here because I was looking for a specific make and model of a used car (2018+ Red Mazda6). Instantly upon parking I was pounced on by a salesperson, asking me questions. I informed him I was there just to look at that one specific vehicle on their lot and that I had multiple ones others that I was going to look at that day. He got the key for me and hovered and chatted nonstop while I was looking it over. I asked if the vehicle was detailed because it looked quite dirty on the inside (Even had dust all over the dash and spilled coffee on the leather seat). I was told a detail would only be performed if I made the purchase. Somewhat understandable but what a horrible response. At least make an attempt like you care. I then asked for a test drive, and was told that it was required that the salesperson ride with me. During the ride he cranked the bass and the volume up on the radio and was adjusting the A/C and chatting constantly. When we returned I told him there were a few other ones I was going to take a look at before making my decision and if I could have his business card just in case I selected this vehicle. He battered me with question on why I didn't want to buy it right then, right now. I informed him that, as previously stated, there were about two other cars elsewhere that I wanted to checkout before making a decision, and if I could have his card as this vehicle was on my shortlist. He then returned with the sales manager, who once again battered me with questions on why I didn't want to start the purchase right now. Needless to say I tossed the business card after I left. Even though the vehicle was on my short list the dealership experience closed the door for me on buying from them. I never thought there was a "Right car, wrong dealer" until this place. read more
